IBBIC's new system will verify data for invoices on goods and services tax, eliminate paperwork and significantly reduce transaction times. Fifteen banks have formed a new company with a focus on leveraging blockchain technology to process letters of credit (LC) for domestic transactions within India.

Upbit, Huobi and Coinbit are among the cryptocurrency exchanges outlined in the report that have halted trading on certain coins. Upon the shifting sands of South Korea’s cryptocurrency regulations, digital asset exchanges have begun halting trading on certain coins deemed to be too high-risk to investors.

Custody and trading services for DeFi tokens is the first step, to be followed by a suite of yield-generating products.
Switzerland’s Sygnum Bank is launching custody and trading across a range of decentralized finance (DeFi) tokens including Aave, Aragon, Curve, Maker, Synthetix, Uniswap and 1inch Network.

Sygnum, which has also added banking services for the USDC stablecoin, plans to expand with a suite of yield-generating products for its clients, which include banks, hedge funds, asset managers and family offices. Source

Coinbase’s professional trading platform has added DOT, the native currency of the Polkadot blockchain, the exchange said in a blog post Monday.

As of Monday, the token is available to transfer into Coinbase Pro accounts. Trading will begin on or after 9 a.m. PT Wednesday.

The exchange typically adds cryptocurrencies to its retail platform a few weeks after first listing them on the professional version, although that turned out not to be the case when it added dogecoin. Coinbase Pro currently supports 50 cryptocurrencies. Source

The banks will experiment with cross-border settlements of two wholesale CBDCs and a French digital financial instrument on a distributed ledger technology platform.
The Bank of France and the Swiss National Bank are starting a joint cross-border central bank digital currency (CBDC) experiment dubbed “Project Jura.”

State Street says it plans to evolve into a “multi-asset platform” to support cryptocurrency trading and more. State Street, the U.S. custody bank that oversees about $40 trillion in assets, has launched a dedicated cryptocurrency division.

It looks like the industry thinks gamers will one day say, “Oh cool, I can own my digital items? Let’s play this blockchain game!”
