Yes, Veil should also be on the list as one of the privacy coins being compared. Although a relatively newer coin, it has numerous features like fair launch, PoW and PoS, zerocin protocol, ring CT and also implements the dandelion protocol.

That's a good read but I think Veil provides better privacy and anonymity. All the feautures you mentioned Zero knowledge proofs (Zerocoin protocol) and RingCT are all part of VEIL technology. However, VEIL has additional features for extra anonymity, privacy and security.

My favourite token in terms of utility is Hydro. For privacy and anonymity it is definitely Veil. Personally, I have a thing for low cap coins with potential, those give the maximum ROI.

It depends on you as a person, what are you looking to invest in; technology or hype? The cryptocurrency community is experiencing a wave of potential 'regulation' in the form of identity verification. Some countries do not support the use of cryprocurrencies, in a case like that, the best alternative would be a privacy coin with user anonymity; there's only one coin right now with such; Veil. However, if you're looking to just buy and hodl, personally coins like VEIL, NEO, and TRON will likely see massive adoption in the nearest future which will definitely drive prices.
