Spain was unable to score a goal in the second half which means that the croatian coach was tactically able to fix his team in a second half with the changes he made both in substitution and in style of play. Even with this defeat to Croatia, I still do not rule them out of this competition because they can improve massively from this defeat in their second game and further into the competition. 

They can be unpredictable as I have saw some which technically look crap and they absolutely explode upon becoming available on exchanges but drop sharply soon after.

Pochettino made a difference but he made the called very late in the Premier League.
