Ethereum Forum / Re: Is this a good time to buy/stake ETH?
« on: June 02, 2024, 07:43:50 AM »
If the profit of staking program isn't satisfying, we don't need to stake the Ethereum. I also don't stake my Ethereum because I want my asset is ready to sell any time. I don't want my Ethereum is not available to sell when the price skyrockets. So, I think it is better to put my Ethereum in the wallets only.
Are you referring to pooled staking or solo staking[1]? I remember reading that selling wrapped tokens from pooled staking equals selling your ETH, so there's no need to manually withdraw your ETH from the pool if you want to sell it. This is still risky though, since you rely on a third party to ensure their contracts are not faulty. That being said, most people who stake their ETH probably plan to not sell for at least several months or years anyway. Another choice would simply divide your ETH for trading and for staking, assuming you have enough to make them worth doing.

Crypto Wallets / Re: Rabby Wallet Discussion thread
« on: June 02, 2024, 06:48:49 AM »
Do the approval tabs mean it also tracks which approvals exist for your address and we can manually remove each one of them? A built-in tool to revoke a contract? Sounds very useful. If I remember it correctly, Metamask doesn't have them, does it? What if I import my wallets, will it automatically track which platform I stake my ETH/altcoin? I might test this one on my old laptop.

Crypto Exchanges / Re: CEX vs DEX: The neverending discussion
« on: June 01, 2024, 06:41:22 AM »
Besides, I don't even have enough assets to be worried about hahaha. What do you guys think though, weighing what both offer which will you choose, CEXs or DEXs?
I think it is a bad habit to have. Sure, you might not have that much money to lose, but there's no guarantee that their bonus will outweigh their cons such as doing KYC, the probability of locking your funds for one reason or another, and so on. If thousands of users have the same mindset, they can easily get millions of dollars through this alone, which is an attractive target for hackers. No one can stop you from using them, but if you ask people who are very enthusiastic about crypto and its philosophy most of the time they'll recommend DEX to you. I do agree that discussing this without context will be meaningless, so maybe you can ask whether using a DEX or CEX is better for your situation (if you don't want to do KYC, have no fiat channel to pay, etc).

I recently read a tweet talking about how Binance's online presence hasn't been the same ever since. Heck, most people don't even know the new CEO's name, which isn't good for a company that big. As much as I think a single person doesn't "make" the entire company, this has taught me a lot.
What tweet are you referring to? How do they calculate Binance's online presence and why does it matter to crypto or Bitcoin in general? I believe those who are worried that Bitcoin or crypto will face trouble because CZ no longer tweeting put their priority in the wrong place. Maybe they hold BNB tokens or something similar? Even if you believe Binance is making many stupid decisions after CZ leaves, I think it is important to remember that the market will eventually decide whether Binance will be the number one exchange or not. I'd worry even more if CZ's influence is that big for Binance.

Gambling & Crypto Casinos / Re: Best LiveStreaming sport services?
« on: June 01, 2024, 04:03:03 AM »
but I saw a friend of mine watching live football match on his phone and he told me he is using an app called live football, maybe you can check it out on Google play store.
Unfortunately, there are tons of apps called live football on Google Play Store. Maybe you can share more details about it? For example the developer name, ratings, version, etc. I don't want to download and check out some random apps that have malware inside. My brother also paid for an IPTV service to stream sports on his Android home TV, but I think they are illegal and will likely get interrupted quite often since the broadcaster is actively trying to block services like that.

Will it be quantum-resistant blockchain technology?LOL
I remember reading some projects pitch that idea in 2022 or so. I can't remember the exact details but the idea does not seem too catchy at that time. If anything, I believe old ideas like NFT will get another cycle of hype again just like what happened with meme tokens. It's not hard to imagine how easy it is for one or two influencers to drop a tweet and start another parabolic move if the market is bullish. After all any idea sounds amazing when the market is green. I also recall hearing about RWA just two months ago or so, which is just a rebrand of another old idea afaik.

Congratulations to the many people who claimed Notcoin! Most of them were newbies to the crypto space, and that was a huge win. It really onboarded a lot of people to the crypto space, and I'm not surprised the project was a success. This got me thinking - these newbies who just got onboarded will need ways to get enlightened and learn more about the ecosystem. That's why I recommend a referral program.
Are there any stats on how many members join the airdrop and have never heard of crypto before? I find it hard to believe that some random newbies suddenly become interested in farming airdrops. I also believe the key is not necessarily the referral program, but any rewards to attract users' interest. Besides, you don't necessarily have to tell people to join A or B crypto farming programs to tell them about Bitcoin. I'm not a fan of referral programs simply because it can affect our reputation if the program turns out to be a scam. It doesn't matter how many disclaimers you put, promoting a scam through referral or any marketing stunt in general is risky IMO. Especially if your goal is just to educate people about crypto.

The only website that I see uses the term ICO nowadays is Icodrops, and as far as I can tell they're moving away from ICO to launchpad as others have mentioned above. Even old websites like Icobench are dead too nowadays, only listing unknown names that are likely scams. Even when ICO is still a hot trend, they are not reliable at all. Buying a banner on Etherscan or other popular aggregators might be better if visibility is what you're looking for. Decentralized launchpads are getting traction too, so you might want to check that out. At the end of the day, no matter what website you use to boost your project reach, products, and timing matter most nowadays.

I do agree, I used it sometimes to browse both community, but not doing basic browsing stuff. Most of the time, I encounter some images not showing or even hard to attach images as per my experience (others might have different experience though).
Does this issue also persist on the Coinomize tor website? If you're visiting regular forums sometimes the image hosting blocks Tor too, so the images don't load, CMIIW. I'm not sure how much your internet speed affects this though. Maybe you can check the logs and see if the request is just processed way too long or if it is blocked.

I prefer instead to deal with a reliable intermediary via Telegram, as it provides the necessary guarantee for both the seller and the buyer. I have used this method safely for years and it still works well. Until now.
Isn't that risky? How did you ensure that your trading partner was legit when you first made a deal with him? I do make deals with some forum members in the past but they have some sort of history before. If they are completely new then I'd go with an escrow. I guess the choice is limited if a forum or other platforms are not available in your area, hence why finding sellers through Telegram is an option.

What do you mean by nothing? Are you saying RSI and MACD are not available for you, or that you can't combine them? Have you checked out this thread btw[1]? Some users give suggestions of moving to other platforms or merging some indicators assuming you know what you're looking for. If you really want to stay on TV then you can try to look at PineScript and manually code your own indicators, CMIIW.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Any advice for a newbie?
« on: May 29, 2024, 07:33:37 AM »
I remember seeing some buyers looking for unlisted tokens, especially launchpad tokens or something similar where they've yet listed on any exchange in the past. Their offer can be quite attractive, especially if you can't find any liquidity on DEXes for various reasons. I'd suggest you avoid this type of deal if you can find the tokens on DEX, or if you're not dealing with any reputable traders. Which platform are you talking about btw? Do they offer a smart contract to ensure this deal will proceed?

If you want to buy the tokens as early as possible, I believe building a script or bot to look at the market and buy them as early as possible would be better (or participating in the launchpad/ICO/etc). This assumes you know the right contract address, can code, can run the code with no problem, and so on. Maybe try OTC on some reputable platform too if you want to push it even further, though I doubt they will list new tokens quickly. CMIIW.

Our technical team metalamp, globally recognized as one of the top 10 blockchain development specialists.
Are you referring to this company[1]? I can't seem to find your projects on their website. How can we verify that they do work for you? Do they develop your website too? Your website looks amateurish and there is little to no info about your team, experience, etc. If you're seriously asking for funds before you can deliver an MVP I think you're looking at the wrong place. Why not build a demo first so people can see how useful your project is? Slapping AI on everything is not a good idea either IMO. Even if you find one who don't view AI negatively you need to answer why it differs from existing bot or tools for defi enthusiasts.

Even if it gets approved, what effects will it bring to Solana or other altcoins in general? Wouldn't this mean more opportunity for big players to control the market indirectly? I don't think focusing on ETF will really help crypto grow. When the bear market hits the news will turn negative quickly which might affect the general public perception of crypto even further. Personally, I also doubt the SEC will continue to approve any new approval that quickly, granted we don't know exactly what they think about crypto in general.
