Bitcoin Forum / Re: Three reasons to invest in Bitcoin?
« on: October 23, 2018, 11:44:11 PM »
Bitcoin's value has increased four-fold since the spring -- and you thought the DOW stock market surge was big news. Is now the time to invest your money in Bitcoin? Here's why you should and why you shouldn't.Bitcoin, of course, is a blockchain-based cryptocurrency. It's decentralized, anonymous and global.
Bitcoin made big headlines recently when its price on Bitcoin exchanges (which allow you to trade Bitcoin for U.S. dollars) surged to an all-time high above $4,000. That was about a four-fold increase from Bitcoin's value just a few months ago, and about seven times what Bitcoin was worth a year ago at this time.

NEM Forum / Re: NameCoin worth keeping?

Bitcoin price prediction is just the start.2017 has been a breakout year for crypto — with Bitcoin surpassing $10,000 and more than $3.8 billion raised this year in ICOs. We’ve seen truly mind-bending appreciation (like Ethereum’s 50X gains YTD) and witnessed the beginnings of countless new projects. In all the funding frenzy, we’ve also likely sown the seeds of some of the larger calamities that will befall the space.

Zcash Forum / Re: Why Zcash is set to shine in 2018
« on: October 22, 2018, 11:26:08 PM »
There are many repeated concerns and sources of misinformation spread about Zcash and, while the technology is still in its infancy, it is rapidly evolving to actively address these concerns. Such concerns primarily focus on the nature of the trusted setup, the performance cost of completing a shielded transaction and the fact that private transactions are not mandatory for all Zcash transactions.

USDT Forum / Re: USDT has a stable price
« on: October 22, 2018, 11:23:08 PM »
A “stablecoin” designed to act as a bridge between digital and fiat currencies, Tether’s value is pegged (or “tethered”) to the US dollar. It’s designed to offer protection against the volatility of other cryptocurrencies, and it’s seen as something of a safe haven when the rest of the market experiences a downturn.

Cardano Forum / Re: Do you have some cardano?
« on: October 22, 2018, 11:03:46 PM »
I believe in the vision, so to me, I think Cardano is ridiculously undervalued. However, many would disagree with me… and that’s fine. No one can tell the future. I still think we’re in for a very bumpy ride when it comes to crypto, and only coins with true value will survive a real crash.

Monero Forum / Re: How can I get monero
« on: October 22, 2018, 11:00:41 PM »
The fees involved with purchasing Monero will generally be lower if you can purchase directly on a Monero trading exchange such as Kraken. For large purchases, we recommend using an exchange. It can take a few days to send funds to an exchange and get your identity verified with it.

Cryptocurrency Price Speculations / Re: price of Monero before 2019
« on: October 22, 2018, 10:55:47 PM »
Monero is one of the best performing cryptocurrencies in 2018. Due to the market fluctuations, it fell below $150 mark. But there are speculations that it will pick up its pace by the end of this year or the beginning of 2019.

NEM Forum / Re: Too much coins, keeps the price low?
« on: October 22, 2018, 10:52:26 PM »
Crypto investors are seeing red this week. Bitcoin plunged to two-month lows on Thursday, dipping below $9,000 for the first time since November. At the time of writing, Bitcoin had bounced back up to the $9,200 level, down from weekly highs just above $12,000. This week has seen coins across the board in the red — a sign that investors are jumping ship to fiat currencies this time instead of swapping into altcoins as we’ve seen in the recent past.

Litecoin Forum / Re: What is the advantage of Litecoin than the Bitcoin?
« on: October 22, 2018, 10:48:04 PM »
High trading volume: Litecoin has been trading since 2011 and is an established top 10 coin. Meaning that it is a popular choice for investors. If a cryptocurrency has a high trading volume, it means you will have no problems finding buyers to sell to. If there are low trading volumes, it means you could find it difficult to find a buyer!Big news could be coming in 2018! In early 2018, Litecoin founder Charlie Lee tweeted that there is “One huge unexpected surprise” coming in 2018. Nobody knows what this is, but we don’t think he would have tweeted this if there wasn’t something exciting about to happen!

Dash Forum / Re: what does Dash do better than Bitcoin?
« on: October 22, 2018, 10:45:46 PM »
Bitcoin entered the scene in 2009 and developed a sizable network effect in a realm of little competition.  However, as the Bitcoin network grew and development standardized, improvements became difficult to implement.

Litecoin Forum / Re: Is it right to save Litecoin now...??
« on: October 22, 2018, 10:37:19 PM »
It depends on your time horizon and risk tolerance. I do enjoy making predictions and bets, but no one knows where the price of these coins (especially altcoins) will be in a month or two years or 10 years. If you have money you can afford to lose, it wouldn’t hurt to buy some Litecoin right now. It’s been around for five years, so it’s a fairly reputable coin on crypto time frames, and it tends to be more stable than other coins I’ve invested in.
