Some platforms such as GDAX and Gemini are aimed more at large orders from institutional investors and traders.Retail clients can sell bitcoin at exchanges such as Coinbase, Kraken, Bitstamp, Poloniex, etc. Each exchange has a different interface, and some offer related services such as secure storage. Some require verified identification for all trades, while others are more relaxed if small amounts are involved.

One thing that successful freelancers and entrepreneurs often do is create multiple income streams. For example, a freelance web designer might teach a design course as an adjunct instructor at a local community college. A marketing consultant might write a set of e-books on marketing for small business owners and sell those on Amazon.

But i guess everyone have their role in this play. I like to think that hodlers help preventing the price from crashing when the market is particularly bearish.

He is talking about multiple inputs to an address, which is not bad practice (it does not expose any information about the public key) unless you're trying to maximize anonymity, which seems a bit unnecessary for this use-case.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Is it good idea for Bitcoin to be regulated?
« on: October 28, 2018, 04:14:10 PM »
As I mentioned earlier, regulating the industry will be a good thing in the long run, with the most important aspect being mass adoption. Everybody on Steemit is really early adopters of the new technology and this will count in all our favours in the long run. For me regulation means mass adoption, as more and more people will feel more comfortable to invest their money in Crypto Currencies.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Which wallet is the safest for bitcoin?
« on: October 28, 2018, 04:11:31 PM »
Installing a wallet directly on your computer gives you the security that you control your keys. Most have relatively easy configuration, and are free. The disadvantage is that they do require more maintenance in the form of backups. If your computer gets stolen or corrupted and your private keys are not also stored elsewhere, you lose your bitcoin.

Bitcoin is a stateless and non-violent currency. "Stateless" because it is a global currency, not restricted by artificial borders."Non-Violent" because people are not forced to use Bitcoin as a currency - it is their choice. When government has the power to print an unlimited amount of money, it also has the power to fund endless wars.

There are a lot of things happening in the banking sector and it is hard to predict what the future of banking would be. There's no one who can predict what the future of online banking, lending, fees and charges, and the robo-advising could b

First of all, you all that have answered so far gave some really good insight on Bitcoin, but that does not answer the author’s question (If I am understanding the question correctly). I know that this is an old post, but I am sure that someone else will still have this same question. In that case, I will give my best attempt to answer the question that was asked.

When an investment can only make money by virtue of the investments of those after you, it’s a pyramid scheme. But it will never die, because anarcho-capitalists are….a fascinating bunch.

Bitcoin is well off its all-time high, due in large part to moves by China to shut down domestic Bitcoin exchanges.
Also putting pressure on Bitcoin: The People's Bank of China recently banned initial coin offerings (ICO), thus outlawing the practice of creating and selling cryptocurrency to investors to finance startup projects in the country.

Generally agree 100%. But if I were to really try and gaze into my crystal ball, there's only 1 other token out there that could spike momentarily and supersede Bitcoin, and that's the oddball Tether. The conditions would need to be quite specific for that to happen but are pretty slim anyway.. so nah don't think it would happen.

Bitcoin is used to make payments digitally, if both parties agree. Bitcoin is like a conventional currency such as dollars, Yen or Euros- which can also be traded digitally. However, there are some major differences when compared to fiat currencies.
