Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Trading Platform Recommendation
« on: November 11, 2020, 11:01:31 PM »
Why do you prefer old platforms?
The ones you mentioned are old Dexes, I hardly trade on Decentralized exchanges, just centralized ones to cut out this ridiculous high trading fee on popular Uniswap and others.
I can't imagine my self swapping $10 fee for a token that worth $15.
Do your kyc and use binance exchange with ease, Okex isn't bad either.

The cryptocurrency market is majorly moved by news and events. The USA elections took a toll on the crypto markets generally with only bitcoin and Ethereum actually holding strong and making appreciable gains in that time. I am confident that, once the election heat and aftermath dies down, we should see a strong rebound of the markets and the bullish trend following closely.

That's why this market is move by speculation, the way things are going, it seems the steam aren't dying down anytime soon. Perhaps the big fomo want to kick in and btc with major altcoins want to make another run to new all time high.
I hope this time, traders learn to take profits and don't get hook on excitement, no 9me can tell when the market cycle may complete.

Ethereum Forum / Re: Ethereum - the king of smart contract
« on: November 11, 2020, 05:51:48 PM »
Do you know why ethereum is mostly adopted when it comes to trend? It's because it's written in objects oriented programming language called solidity. Hence, it's simplicity has made the Ethereum community a vast space which encompasses developers and investors.
Look how congested Decentralized Finance is today, Ethereum accommodate about 90%.

Crypto Exchanges / Re: Kucoin has recovered
« on: November 11, 2020, 05:46:06 PM »
After the hacking event had happened in kucoin on September Lyu the founder of the said exchange announced that 84% of the stolen asset have recovered to be followed with detail reimbursement once the case is closed.

After the hacking happened, do you think kucoin will remain as one of the trusted exchanges? Do you still have peace for this exchange after all?
No exchange is to be trusted even as they called DeFi as truly decentralized, I don't stake or farm any coin. My wallet, my bank, my friend.
They have been a good exchange but the damage has been done which had a negative impact on their reputation. I hope they recover as soon as possible.
There kucoin share(kcs) has been maintaining $0.8, perhaps a good buy since it has bottom out.

There are some situations where things don't really goes as planned and all happens due to some factors that are beyond or above their ability.
DIA for example, it's a good project no doubt. They raised aprroximately $15 million in their token sale, the rest of the token were burn for transparency.
It was listed on top exchanges like Okex, Bitmax, kucoin and then the giant place Binance.
Unfortunately, kucoin was hacked and DIA tokens were among the stolen tokens that was dumped on Uniswap by the hacker.
Today, DIA is still struggling with price maintaining.

I can't even predict this market but if bitcoin can close this year at the current price, next year 2021 will be huge. I just hope it doesn't end up like 2017 and 2018 when we had nice bull run in November December and then the whole thing collapse 2018. It took grace to recover in 2019.
Let's hope the adoption continues just like the way we have seen in PayPal.
Those kind of news are good for cryptocurrency. Just imagine banks start rolling out cryptocurrency in their platforms.  8) 8)

Btc dominance is still huge, if that remain stable, I don't think big altcoins have a chance of running up in prices. Chain link has been stagnant for almost a month without improve in price. Who knows may be the whales are out and waiting for the price to dump and get in again.
Whales are always smart and market always do the opposite.

Decentralized Exchanges (DEX) / Re: Are good tokens only listed on Uniswap?
« on: November 10, 2020, 02:09:01 PM »
Uniswap is a Decentralized Exchange just like Etherdelta, all projects can be listed there, Uniswap is number one Dex because it is easy to use even for people who are new to the world of cryptocurrency,
and being listed on Uniswap is nothing special, so it doesn't really affect the price. If the price of coins listed on Uniswap drops, the problem is not Uniswap but the marketing of the project.
Did you say Uniswap is just like Etherdelta?
I will take that as a mistake because they may be DEX as name similarity but operate in different manner.
Etherdelta is just an ordinary decentralized exchange that pair two traders together but lack liquidity, this where Uniswap win.

To OP topic, DeFi era is fading away with time, only few will survive the market speculation. Even yearn.finance founder left and built kepperv1. It was hype, listed in different exchange including binance but look at the performance after everything.  :'(

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Governments cannot control Bitcoin
« on: November 09, 2020, 10:07:01 PM »
Not government or any institute who control price of bitcoin as well other coin also.  Price of any coin is directly depend on its demand as well as on initial supply. This is only one reason behind that government always trying to ban Crypto in their region ( but in some countries Crypto acceptable as well ).
There are still clients that have been doing illicit trade and covered up behind bitcoin and crypto. Typically making crypto appropriation becoming difficult and difficult for unused people.
This is why government is finding it difficult to legalise bitcoin because of its pseudonymous characteristics. But on the other hand, the number of people who use crypto for good is far much more than those who are using it for bad. In every system, there is merit and Demerit even a new solution is having it own problem.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Next Bitcoin or scam?
« on: November 09, 2020, 05:30:33 PM »
For fun, I tried to find negative information about this application. There is nothing on YouTube or on any news sites.
After almost a year, it seems like a dead end. The recent ones you come across is either they tried to replace ethereum or they mimic another project.
I recently came across a thread that was explaining why he think Tezos is the new ethereum. I just had to laugh it off and make my little contribution to avoid been troll.
Every project should be unique on their own and provide solutions to the existing problems. Not too look stupid trying to replace what is irreplaceable.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Stable coin: new crypto trend?
« on: November 09, 2020, 05:23:55 PM »
stable coin of choice for the traders to buy of product Defi also have adopted it as well to create a more stable coin-coin to be implemented with a combination of the stable coin but investors tend to prefer to invest in a coin that has a value that valuable to take advantage big profit.
As long as there is stable coin demand, more will be minted. My only fear is the regulation body. Currently, Usdt the largest stable coin on market is roughly estimated to be 17 billion, do we know the future?
DeFi has nothing to with stable coin, traders and investors need stability to avoid volatility, they will keep buying so far they need more.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: what is your trading strategy
« on: November 09, 2020, 11:01:38 AM »
When it comes to trading, information is key and power. For this to work out, you need to have technical and fundamental analysis. They are have symbiotic relationship and even top traders buy in to these two terms.
Technical analysis is using of chart and previous historical data to predict the price and performance of coin. While fundamental has to do with development of the project it self in terms of good news, partnership, listing.
The above is very important, the other basic of trading encompasses resistance and support, volume and popular indicators and lastly buy every dip and sell the news. It has work for me and it doesn't since market is beyond our understanding sometimes

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Why altcoins exists?
« on: November 08, 2020, 02:21:49 PM »
Bitcoin is limited to some things like transactions confirmation, the supply which is cap at just 21 million, it proof of work ( altcoins were out before the lightening network) and others.
This have rise to altcoins that were fork from the current system such as litecoin, Bitcoin Cash and ethereum blockchain. If not for idea behind ethereum, I don't even think we will have much alternative coins today but it has improved and adopted tremendously.
Speaking of profit, altcoins are much more profitable for some investors than Bitcoin. Check bitcoin and altcoins yearly performance to date, you will find out altcoins performance were really great except for some DeFi projects.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Should Bitcoin be an investment or store of value?
« on: November 08, 2020, 02:07:32 PM »
There is a popular local saying "one man food is another man poison", that's what bitcoin is to some people. There are some people in this industry that will always buy BTC at every resistance. They don't just see as a store value to take profits on short term but as a future investment as better alternative to traditional instruments.
Personally, I invest and take profits when I fit and wait for another dip.
