Sorting Box / Re: best tokens to invest for beginners
« on: September 17, 2018, 12:07:21 PM »
If you're a newbie on investing on crypto coins. I suggest you should look on major coins like eth, neo, and all major coins on the coinmarket. The risked here is not that great since we all knew that they are on top markets already. By the way, If you're really looking for a potential coin/token I suggest you take look of Holochain and Pundi x. These two have great concept and will really have a chance to be great project later on.

Forum Court / Re: Low Quality Penalty
« on: September 17, 2018, 10:52:18 AM »
Hello there I have question regarding those post on the bounty section with twitter link and facebook link for their campaign? Are that considered as low quality posts?

I like the idea of penalizing those spammer with reducing post count or rank. But how the system will be updated just like that? For example a Senior member rank which posts shitty post penalize for doing it. He will just become Full member rank?

On my opinion. Grounds for spamming especially those were mentioned on the OP should received big penalties, so next time they wouldn't just write and will think first. The system here is quite good as there no boundaries on posting provided that it is not a shitty one. For me this is the way it should be.

Ethereum Forum / Re: Some reason why ethereum down
« on: September 17, 2018, 10:31:44 AM »
Yes, i think that fake news about the use ETH by scammers to lunch scam project on ETH platform has also lead to the fall in its price in recent time. I also think that market speculation by traders, panic selling by Hoders etc, has contributed to this fall.

Thats attributed to the price as well. The smart contract by eth is really a good product that has been introduced on the cryptomarket. Many used it to perform ICOs to launch their own project and still being utilize until now. But the problem here are its so easy to learn on how to do it in a manner of tutorial plus professional can easily learn it. Im not totally believe that this is the cause alone. Why? Eth has no development incurred on the last 6months from it roadmap. Investors are looking for growth with this type of project. In addition, fuds are spawning everywhere regarding scam icos using eth. I can see this can be reverse once casper protocol iniaited right away.

Forum related / Re: Post count for a Legend?
« on: September 17, 2018, 10:10:29 AM »
I'm a hero member now and took me 6 months to achieve this rank. I think my activity is average with 2,5 post on dailly count. If somebody achieve legendary rank in one month, I think, his profile should be checked for spam, burst posting and other forum rules abuse. If nothing found after check, then there is no problem but if there is a lot of spam or any other forum rules abuse, he should be punished with post count, point and rank reduction. Additionally negative karma should be issued.
First few days I was very active and reached to Sr. Member in around 7 days I guess then I gone inactive for long time since not much traffic here, until today. For an active member and who posts a lot - will not need much time. I am in another forum, I like to stay there, hang out with that community. In last 7 days I made over 200 posts and they are not spammy for sure.

By the way, I agree with you. If anyone misuse the forum then s/he should get penalty.

Wow if its true then your posting is quite good. Normally in a discussion you can see if someone is just doing a spam over and over a topic. That's why the forum becoming crowded with this. How about when the topic and the problem raised by poster is already address there should be an auto locked for that thread. What do you think? By this we can limit the discussion and stretch it to response needed of the one who posted.

But I think it will be next to impossible as of now as moderator are probably few to monitor topics raised. Best way I guess is to add more general discussion thread that don't add post count. I want to rank up but I'm not eager to be on that rank as my knowledge needed a lot of reviews of the subforum here. So will do this in a right manner of posting.

Basic questions about this forum / Re: Post Count

Actually, for the limitations of posting it doesn't exist, you can be up to and as best as you can in making posts in this forum. But the possibility when you do not get points and not get a ranking increase may be because your posts are Spam and not qualified or negative. So it will be difficult for you to get points and increase rankings.

Thanks for the heads up. By the way is there a way a spam post will be known as spam here? Like admin and moderator deleted the posts or reply posts made by the members? Actually it will be good if something like that but as the members of the community here keeps on growing, it will be hard later on to monitor this.

Can I ask if the posts considered spam are deleted here? Also what could be the range of posts qualified in order to rank up or it is based on posts amount and points achieved? If only one can you shared with me the actual range. Thanks, I saw in the rank up forum  post a rank like babystep cool way to be called next to newbie 😁

Thanks for this post done reading those four threads that you've shared. I agree on some response here. Beginners should be active in a sense their active participation is valid and towards the healthy conversation on a particular topic. Let say, one is active but all he do is response hello, thank you, good luck, nice post, or etc. which will not help them (us) grow.

It is stated on the forum rules that only relevant topic response and added value on the discussion will be accepted. I really like system here as the rules effectively reducing source of spammers. Looks like I will be here to learn more and hopefully could be a high ranking members as well. But I'm not rushing and will take it slow learning is due process and no short cut. Thanks for the posts.

Forum related / Re: post to earn points
« on: September 17, 2018, 09:02:41 AM »
I have a question for longtime members.
I regularly post locally, but I only get 3 points for each post
Where should I post to get the most points?

I'm not a long time member here and probably you would not believe my opinion but I'm a skeptical person. Just created an account today here but I already knew this forum long before and what I do is just reading first and familiarizing myself on the thread and subsections. Points will be depend on the quality and content of posting but also if you are helpful with supplying relevant response to someone asking a question.

I cannot say you can earn high points but clue there is go to serious discussion forum with lots of great conversation regarding altcoins. Actually the points given arent that bad after all. Maybe the problem is how you posted on local boards.

I see. Rank here is based on the positive response and posts created by members of the community. I just have a question sincr I'm just new here. What is the range of post counts on different rank? There should be a range of post counts for every rank. Also, Is there a required karma for higher rank? I'm noticed that some high ranking members here don't have any karma. Meaning the rank is based on the points right? Also how does karma points benefited every member of the forum. Hopefully someone can enlighten me on this matter. Thank you.

Basic questions about this forum / Re: Post Count
« on: September 17, 2018, 08:23:57 AM »
Hello everyone. I read all the post response to this thread and likely there are some difference of the rules here on altcointalks forum and bitcointalk forums. Will wrap it up for everyone's info.

1. Post counts are not counted if you post or reply post on general discussion. ( Cool this is something must be adopted by forum if they want to limit spammers.)

2. Posts like nice one, goodluck, or nonsense will produce a negative karma rather than increasing post count. Fair rule actually.
(Purpose of a forum is have a good and healthy discussion)

3. No limits of posting. ( For me, this one should be discussed by admin and forum operator here. In my opinion, there should be a limit and depends on the rank of the member. This will ensure that newbies will not likely spam on different sections. But Karma point is more relevant than merit on bitcointalkforum.)

4. The sections here are quite different and cool as compared to bitcointalk. Anyway that's what I learned from the response here.

I'm not sure if threads can be locked here as well. But still have to familiarize myself from its features. So gonna go. Thanks Learn so much here.

« on: September 17, 2018, 08:09:52 AM »
Hello there, been here actually for a while and seeing how altcointalks grow is faster than I think. Let me introduce myself. Im Archie ( thats my real name) but as you can see, I used LogiC as my name. Im very fond of cryptocurrency as my hobby. It is served as my knowledge ground for learning and discovering some new tech on the outside world. I'm referring to blockchain of course. If there's a new way to convey it and become as source of income thats more interest me. By the way, the ambiance here is more cooler than the bitcointalk forum. My 2cent this will be mainstream site for crypto enthusiast as it resemblance bitcointalk forum likely but not so crowded.
