Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Best altocoin to hold!!

I was actually pleasantly surprised to see Aion between the choices as it is still one of my favorite projects out there, if not my favorite one. It is extremely undervalued now, so I would vote for it with no hesitation.

Just HODL is not the best strategy in many situations. If you are aware of a great investment opportunity and you have to dump some other holding, do it. But if you really dont need the money for anything, never sell at the loss.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: How to choose the right ICO?
« on: September 23, 2018, 08:19:07 AM »
Your own research and due diligence is not enough anymore when investing in ICOs. You also have to observe your surroundings and see if there is any demand for the particular project/ICO, because even if the project has good fundamentals, if there is no demand for it, you could make a very bad investment.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Is the government really scary?

I agree that no government regulation is able to kill crypto, it can just make our life a bit harder. Still, if anything radical happens, we can dive into obscurity and rise out of it when it will be appropriately to do so.

OP, isn't Centra a scam? I would stay far away from it, same for EventChain, another failed project. On the other hand, Power Ledger can be a good investment indeed. But who knows what will happen in 2020, maybe 2019 will be a huge year for crypto and 2020 will be a year of consolidation, just like 2018 has been so far.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Mining or Trading which one is safe?
« on: September 22, 2018, 05:23:37 PM »
For a serious mining rig you would need quite a hefty sum of starting capital, but you can start trading even with a hundred bucks or even less and you are gradually able to increase this amount with constant trading, but be sure to learn at least some basics in TA.

If you want to play safe, the crypto world is definitely not for you. Stick to gold or any other safer alternatives. But if you are looking at the investment as a long term one, investing in top 5 coins right now would make it a fairly safe investment, but definitely not in the short/mid time-frame.

A good list for sure. I would concentrate on bounty campaigns myself as they present the highest potential to earn serious money and not only some change that you get from faucets and other micro earning options. Especially in the situation where you have some additional skill/knowledge to offer to the projects like translating etc.

Merculet? Their ICO has been done for months now if I recall correctly. But to give an opinion on the main question. At the moment it is still too early to dive back into the ICO scene, in my humble opinion. I would definitely wait for a bull market before investing in ICOs again.

Banks are pumping it again :D. No but seriously, I have no idea what has happened to give it such a huge push forward. I have probably missed some big news or something, it has to be.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: What are you using ETH for?
« on: September 21, 2018, 09:11:12 PM »
I am using ETH for basically everything. I got used to it and I rarely transfer my holdings in any other currency, especially not via BTC. Its just so seamless that I dont seek anything else.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Is NEO still worth investing in?
« on: September 21, 2018, 09:04:00 PM »
I would also say that both tokens are more than a solid mid/long term investment. There have been a lot of FUD around NEO recently aka the Chinese community have turned their back on them and went with Ontology but I think it still have a lot of potential.

The hard caps of contemporary crypto ICO projects are definitely way too high most of the time. Remember that before the ICO craze, a lot of great projects collected only couple of millions, some even less than a million and they managed to produce a great product. But I suppose its good to have some extra doe in the account if the development of the project takes a long time.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: How often do bounty do not pay you
« on: September 21, 2018, 03:36:49 PM »
From my experiences, most projects pay at least a fraction of the full reward that has been promised, even if they do that more than half a year later than expected. But some of the projects and bounty managers vanishes when its time to pay out. Its the risk we have to take.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Bright future
« on: September 21, 2018, 03:29:09 PM »
Nobody knows what the future will bring for the crypto space. I am sure that some bounty hunters that started with their activities in 2016 or even earlier, have portfolios worth tens of thousands of dollars, even in this bear market. Maybe we are only at the beginning of bounty hunting, maybe the end is near and the whole scene will collapse because of some draconian regulations. Time will tell.
