I think Ethereum was one of the first chains to have a lot of functionality outside of being "just money." That's not to say there aren't others now, but the concept of Smart Contracts and building dapps was very exciting when Ethereum first launched. Now the project just has a lot more traction than any of its "competitors.
Because Ethereum is smart contract and many tokens used it. Ethereum is the second of crypto currency.

I like do day trading. So I prefer use ripple to do that. It is banks coins and very profitable to short term.

Currently, Ethereum is the best coin following Bitcoin. It is quite obvious on the market how Ethereum has occupied the second position despite the recent fall in its price. Ethereum appears to still hold its investor base support. As the ICOs grows much stronger, Ethereum grows likewise.
Yes I agree about it. Ethereum is the best coin next to bitcoin. It is potential and popular now.

We all know that many investors today are waiting for a bull market and some are thinking that it will at the 4th quarter of this year but it seems the market is still struggling.

What for you is the safest and most reliable altcoin that any beginners of cryptocurrency can buy and invest in to? Because bitcoin is unpredictable I wonder if I can start buying altcoins instead, however, I do not want to buy an altcoin that will just be a waste of money. Any ideas?
For now , I think ripple.is the safest and most reliable altcoin. It is bank coin and more stable. It is good for short term.

Is it important to set a goal when investing crypto ?
I think this an important issue . many guys don't set a goal before they start trading and that is why many of them lose .
Of course I have a goal. I want to be rich by investing in crypto currency.
