This year is not the year of ICOs. This is where ICOs totally affected either by scammers, the down market, or both. Most ICOs were not able to reach the soft cap leading to halt of the ICOs. But, I don't think that this scenario is affecting bitcoin. It is a bit independent of ICOs of not performing well.

Yes I have already made money from the results of the ICO project. But I did not invest in the ICO. I joined the bounty campaign program and at the end of the ICO I got a token. And then I sell the token and I get money. In my opinion investing in ICO with money capital is very risky because most of ICO now is a scam. And ICO tokens cannot last long. More investment in altcoin that has lasted a long time in a coinmarket than investing in the ICO.

it is possible that the altcoin price could return to be very expensive but it all depends on the conditions of the bitcoin price, when the bitcoin price can return to high prices again in 2019 then the altcoin price will also follow the bitcoin price movement.

I think that it is better to do both because that is like having two assets from buying a mining rig for bitcoin that will give you passive income and also bitcoin that will give you an asset that can give your significant profits because of the price pumps and also the other opportunity that you can grab to earn more.

Blockchain is the most popular ledger in all cryptocurrencies transaction. Blockchain is digital, decetralized, open ,public, distributed ledger. It is continuously growing list of record which is called blocks and it is linked using cryptography. It records the history transaction that happens between two parties.

In my opinion, you can choose and buy some potential Altcoin at this moment and wait for them to increase prices to make a profit. Some Altcoin that I believe is ETH, NEO, EOS, LTC, Wave ...

I strongly disagree with this. because basically you are saying "price has dropped, lets make it rise again and call that 'great'". bitcoin is not about price and profit. so when its price drops it doesn't mean it stopped being "great"!

It you want to run a campaign advertising bitcoin, that is great. but as long as you are not doing it to make the price go up. and more importantly as long as you are not advertising bitcoin to others as a means to make profit because of its rises.

Doing things like this will only increase the volatility and make the rise (the thing you are hoping for) harder. we don't want more speculators running around, we want more real adoption. we want merchants running a full node, a lightning node and accept payments through bitcoin. we want people who see the advantages of using this unique decentralized currency and spend it.

Its hard to trade in the bear market so what I do is just hold until an occasional pump comes, sell in that and buy them back in the next dump.
