Kainos Launch Announcement

Hello Ledgerians,

Hope everyone is having a great day! We have an announcement to make.

While our #DevelopmentTeam  strives hard to work on the mainnet release, we have some exciting news to give you. As of now, we are almost feature complete on the protocol side to launch Kainos.

The next steps in this process include:

1- Security Audit

2- Fixing security bugs

3- Testing the platform

4- Kainos launch

The Security Audit is a crucial next step we have to undertake. We will take the 'better safe than sorry' approach, as there will be millions of dollars worth of funds migrated from the current Ethereum network to our native protocol. Therefore, thorough due diligence must be done before we move on to the next steps. A third-party security firm will begin the security audit in early December. Once the audit is completed, we expect the next steps to end in a relatively short time.

Protocol and OneWallet
While the security firm audits the protocol code, our developers will continue working on the OneWallet features and functionality to improve the user experience.

Considering all the above factors, and due to the festive season colliding with the Kainos launch, we have decided to launch Kainos in Q1 2020.

Consequences on Kratos Launch
We are still on track to launch Kratos in Q2 2020. While the security audit is taking place, our team will start working on the tasks from Q1/Q2 2020, as illustrated in the roadmap.

We thank all our community members for the incredible support we have received throughout this journey, and we assure you that building the Web3.0 won't stop.

Meet the Team - Kevin  Singh

The past few months have been outstanding in terms of our growth in development and accomplishing internal milestones. Our #DevelopmentTeam  has become stronger. Our team has hired a couple of very experienced developers to lead the pack and accelerate the coding involved.

One of these developers is Kevin Singh. Kevin will be working as a Software Developer at OneLedger. Unlike many software professionals, Kevin has developed a strong background in computer security and signal processing, in addition to routine software skills. As we move closer to the mainnet launch, our team will need to make sure all the code is well-audited, and there aren't any loopholes once we migrate to our native chain. Kevin's expertise in computer security will play a significant role in such circumstances. Kevin has over ten years of experience in the payments, banking and technology industry.

Why OneLedger?
It is exciting to know what is the driving force behind someone's ambition. Having been involved in cryptocurrencies for the past six years, Kevin believes that now is the right time to make a move to the blockchain industry and start applying the theoretical knowledge to practical applications.
"Working at OneLedger as a Software Developer will provide me with an opportunity to learn and grow within the blockchain industry. My main role is to work on the protocol layer and speed up the development process. I am very good at managing my time, and I believe that I can deliver the results needed to excel at this company." - Kevin Singh.

Where is blockchain heading?
People working in the blockchain space now are really on to something. The implementations today will have a massive impact on the generations to come.
Kevin has similar thoughts regarding the future of blockchain technology. "According to me, blockchain will be the front-runner in many industries. Every new technology takes a while to establish itself. After the foundation has been laid out, the disruptions don't stop happening. This foundation stage is where I see blockchain at present. Decentralizing transaction-based records is something that will help remove the monopoly of control by the government and the large corporations. 'Decentralizing' is Step 1. There is a Step 2 missing in blockchain at the moment, and that is interoperability. Communication between blockchains will become a standard in the future, and that's where OneLedger will play a huge role." Said Kevin.

We would like to welcome Kevin Singh to the OneLedger family.

Meet the Team - Tanmay Bhattacharya

OneLedger adds another blockchain developer to the team. With mainnet launch just around the corner, we have decided to strengthen our protocol team.

Meet Tanmay Bhattacharya, the Senior Software Developer at OneLedger.

Tanmay has been in the tech space for over seven years now. Before joining OneLedger, he worked as a Research Scientist at Conduent. His work here included developing a blockchain platform using the Hyperledger consensus and Haskell as the programming language. This project also involved heavy use of hardware wallets for cryptography and security purposes. He also has prior experience of working as a consultant/developer for companies like Wells Fargo, Altisource Labs and Host Analytics. He has worked as an independent solutions expert for various large and small scale projects, primarily using Ethereum and NodeJS. He brings to the team a holistic view of the blockchain space and an ability to architect and engineer fast, scalable multi-user systems.

So, why did Tanmay join OneLedger? He said, "Presently there are are a lot of companies working in the blockchain space, but what makes OneLedger unique is its idea of interoperability, and its solutions. Soon decentralized systems would be the norm, and base layer protocols to help interact in between them would be in high demand. OneLedger is already trying to solve the problems of the future, in the present. This is what motivated me to join the company and be a part of an inspiring team."

Tanmay has been in the blockchain space since 2016. Being in the industry for over three years now, he understands how blockchain can shape the world and make this world a better place. At present, there are many data leaks taking place in different parts of the globe. According to him, "A decentralized internet would mean that you can share only the information that you feel comfortable with. This form of a technology upgrade can lead to a secure mode of communication."

Thoughts on Interoperability

It is always interesting to find out how the new team members feel about our company mission. An essential aspect of OneLedger's technology is interoperability, meaning how different blockchains connect and interact with each other.

Regarding interoperability, Tanmay mentioned, "Interoperability is the next big thing in the blockchain space. As blockchain-based systems start maturing and going into production, interoperability between them becomes even more critical. Cryptocurrencies aside, imagine a world where every company uses a blockchain layer to keep its data transparent with its customers. Interoperability becomes the most important thing here because you would want the blockchains to interact."

Tanmay's Role at OneLedger

Tanmay will be taking on challenges on the protocol side. As a Senior Software Developer, he is sure to be bombarded with lots of core tasks related to the OneLedger protocol. Tanmay has experience in Ethereum and Hyperledger, which is sure to help us with our interoperability use-cases in the future. Tanmay is also well-versed with Nanoledger devices and asymmetric cryptography, which will surely be helpful down the road.

When asked, what he likes to do in his free time, he added, " I am very passionate about Crossfit. For me, it is important to be in the right state of mind all the time. Other than that, I enjoy cooking and listening to classic rock. I live by the quote, 'One day your entire life will flash in front of your eyes, make sure it is worth watching.'

OneLedger - Empowers Enterprise Blockchain with Scalability and Interoperability

According to China Daily, on October 25, 2019, Xi Jinping, the general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, spoke about the critical role of blockchain technology in the new round of technological innovation and

industrial transformation, urging more efforts to quicken development in the sector. China is taking an active stance on blockchain technology. This news comes at the right time, as many innovative projects are working towards mass adoption. One of such projects is OneLedger.
OneLedger, as the name suggests, is looking to create a suite of blockchain products under a single umbrella to make the process of mass adoption easier. Since it's early days, OneLedger has maintained its stance on solving interoperability by bridging the gap between numerous public and private blockchains.
OneWallet, another prominent product, is something to look out for. Currently under Beta, and being tested by approximately 100 testers, this product is sure to create excitement due to its simplistic design and modern feel. The wallet includes a unique cross-chain domain naming service called the OneLedger Naming Service, or simply ONS. This service maps a wallet address to a domain, meaning that the users now can transfer funds to a unique domain, instead of the complicated long addresses. By utilizing OneLedger's cross-chain compatibility, OneWallet users can send funds not only to OneLedger domains but also Ethereum, Bitcoin and several other blockchains, as the future implementations take place.
Lynx Engine is another product that falls under the OneLedger umbrella. Lynx connects data between public and private blockchains seamlessly. As blockchain becomes the main driving force in developing the next generation of Internet of Things (IoT), products such as Lynx, will play an essential role in minimizing the gap between blockchain believers and the rest.
Innovation is at the core of OneLedger. As more countries start embracing blockchain technology, the outdated software systems will eventually feel the burn and get replaced. Not only does blockchain improve reliability, security and privacy, it also offers other solutions such as data-sharing, optimizing business processes, reducing operational costs, increasing intracompany and inter-company coordination, and building credibility.
Enterprises looking to implement blockchain solutions can contact us through our website. We are happy to help!
