'Two Iranians who reportedly helped exchange Bitcoin ransom payments into Iranian rial on behalf of Iranian malicious cyber actors were caught as their Bitcoin addresses were identified by the US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). This serves as an important reminder that Bitcoin is not anonymous, but pseudonymous, and that this can be used to track transactions.'

According to the latest news it seems that Bitcoin sender and receiver can be tracked.
So it's hackable and not anonymous.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Altcoins will replace BTC
« on: December 16, 2018, 12:22:28 AM »
Well , I think altcoins will not be replacing BTC in near or far future .  Bitcoin will stand its ground because its the mother of  the  cryptocurrencies and they influence the markets from the beginning . Altcoins are formed in the market because of bitcoin . On the other hand market is not predictable anymore . Maybe we will witness rise of altcoins in 2019 , finger crossed ..

I don't think so.
I doubt that any coin can replace BTC evaar!

Sorting Box / Re: Population of coins

actually if coins are continuously released like this, in the future it will not be good, this is like trading, there is supply and demand so when these coins are continuously released (supply) but the investors and devotees are less (demand) then of course these losses will have an impact on all ongoing projects

I also don't like the situation that there are more and more coins even now.. Why do they continue to produce it when the market is dead and there are very few people who will invest in it.. It became even hard to find the needed coin in that sea

totally agree!
It's insane!  :-[ :-\

are we turning this into a cult? He might even be dead... we are only feeding scammers to claim the identity and decieving others...
who/whatever satoshi his... it is rather pointless ... at this point he would be one among others that are developing several types of crypto projects... it would be no different than tesla, etc...

What do you think about the message?
Is it a bad joke?

Found the definition.

Nour
1. the arabic word for "Light" (the kind you use to see, not the oppposite of heavy)
2. used as male and female names
3. one of the 99 names of God in the islamic tradition
4. the name of chapter 24 in the Holy Quran

Any guesses?  ;D

This is more like a sick joke to make us think that something is going on while we on the other side of the screen someone just laughing at us

We can laugh in return, right?
Use your imagination and give me your interpretation  :P :D

In an interview with Bloomberg, Jeff Girzik told that in 2010-2011 he often spoke with Satoshi Nakamoto on the Bitcointalk forum and in personal correspondence, until he suddenly disappeared without a trace. According to Girzik, Satoshi was very smart, but he hardly got the education of a classical software engineer. In his opinion, Bitcoin was created by self-taught. From the characteristic features of the code, Garzik concluded that the program was written by former police officer Dave Kleiman from Florida. In 1995, after the accident, Dave was paralyzed, and he began programming, in particular, he developed the concept of computer forensics for the sheriff's office in Palm Beach. Later he began working with distributed registry technology. In 2013, he died from an infectious disease. - It's a real interview, man.

PLUS

Indirectly in favor of the fact that it is Kleiman and Satoshi Nakamoto, the fact that the ex-policeman’s relatives filed a lawsuit to recover from the Australian developer Craig Wright, who declared himself the creator of Bitcoin - At least they had reason for filing a claim.

As long as I know, Satoshi Nakamoto is dead.

My opinion is  ethereum , ethereum is the most reliable coin in cryptomarket. Ethereum has big community and very bright future although ethereum price is declined again but I'm sure ethereum will rise again this is the good opportunity to buy ethereum because this is bottom value of the year .

ok, it's good time to buy it now or wait?

Listen to me, Ethereum is a strong competitor to BTC. It's better to keep your currency both in ETH and BTC. If BTC falls (unlikely), ETH will take the lead.

I use Telegram, Slack and Discord to keep up with Crypto news and communities. Telegram is the most widely used. However Discord also has some quality channels. I can't give links here because it's against forum rules

Great choice!
