Tokens/Coins Offerings (ICO, IEO, etc.) / Re: How to known a Scam ICO
« on: February 07, 2019, 02:26:05 AM »
Absence of an escrow account is the biggest red flag to look out for. Similarly, if an escrow releases 100% funds to the project team after ICO, it’s a bad escrow, and should be considered as a red flag. Fund releasing should happen gradually such as 20% after token distribution, 40% after beta release, and similar milestones.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: More and more Scam projects
« on: February 06, 2019, 07:42:29 AM »
While the ICO ecosystem may be a multi-billion dollar industry, it’s also mostly unregulated and ICO scams are becoming more common. This lack of regulation has allowed the market to be plagued by fraudulent platforms and “ICO exit scams,” leaving regulatory bodies around the world scrambling to develop a functional framework for control. LoopX ICO Scam The LoopX project vanished at the beginning of the week when it took down its website and deleted its Facebook, Telegram, and YouTube channels without any notice. Exit scams are becoming more common in the ICO ecosystem. Recently, the LoopX ICO exit scam resulted in the loss of more than $4.5 million USD of investor capital after its creators pulled a disappearing act.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Which is your favourite altcoins in 2019 ?
« on: February 06, 2019, 07:38:41 AM »
Ethereum Classic will be good coin in 2019, Coinbase listed this altcoin on their exchange. It seemed like ETC was a deadcoin and the Coinbase acquisition seemed odd to say the least. But with Ethereum priming to make a switch to a Proof of Stake system. The Proof of Work based Ethereum Classic just might be the go to network for Ethereum developers who don’t agree with Proof of Stake systems. Had this acquisition never happened, ETC would have never made this list

Cryptocurrency is empowering and people spend most of their time and energy trying to control their world. Crypto puts you in the driver’s seat of your money. That does not mean cryptocurrency is unregulated but it does mean it is “permissionless” in that owner to owner exchanges can happen online, just as they can happen in person today with paper money. If you are not aware, that empowerment only exists today through cryptocurrency. There is no other way to conduct and online payment without a third party, unless you use cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency ‘let freedom spend.’

Zcash Forum / Re: What is Zcash?
« on: February 05, 2019, 06:36:17 AM »
Zcash is similar to Bitcoin in that transactions are posted on a public blockchain. However, privacy is ensured as personal and transaction data is kept confidential. This is made possible through zero-knowledge proofs. This allows transactions to be verified without any information about the sender, receiver, and the amount transacted. It is possible to disclose some transaction data at the user’s will through Zcash features known as ‘viewing keys’ and ‘payment disclosure.’ This makes transactions on Zcash auditable and regulation-compliant.

Monero Forum / Re: What Is Monero?
« on: February 05, 2019, 06:24:03 AM »
Monero was launched in April 2014. It was a fair, pre-announced launch of the CryptoNote reference code. There was no premine or instamine, and no portion of the block reward goes to development. See the original Bitcointalk thread here. The founder, thankful_for_today, proposed some controversial changes that the community disagreed with. A fallout ensued, and the Monero Core Team forked the project with the community following this new Core Team. This Core Team has provided oversight since.

Launched in 2014, Dash was originally known as Darkcoin and was designed to ensure user privacy and anonymity. In fact, the cryptocurrency’s whitepaper, co-authored by Evan Duffield and Daniel Diaz, describes it as “the first privacy-centric cryptographic currency” based on Nakamoto’s work.
While it still features strong encryption features, Dash has since recast its ambitions. The cryptocurrency now aims to become a medium for daily transactions.

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: The main risk in cryptocurrency?
« on: January 30, 2019, 01:48:53 AM »
The risk if you invest in cryptocurrency is Human Error Human error is a risk in any walk of life. But in crypto, it’s much easier to make mistakes, and the risks are magnified. For example, if you have no experience of trading, investing, or FOREX, then crypto exchanges can be an immensely confusing place. Sure, services like Coinbase are designed for a layman. However, if you want to diversify and buy some altcoins, you’ll need to hop onto a service like Bitfinex (or one of the other leading crypto exchanges). And they are a different kettle of fish. It’s all too easy to accidentally place an incorrect order, send your coins to the wrong wallet, or even lock yourself out of your account entirely. Some trading facilities built on the blockchain don’t even have a password reset function. Of course, you’re also at risk of human error when managing your crypto storage. If you lose your private keys, you might be unable to access or use your assets. And even if you use a secure cold wallet, like a Ledger Nano S, misplacing it remains a real possibility if you don’t exercise caution. Although we think these issues are the most pertinent risks facing first-time cryptocurrency investors, there are always more issues you need to watch out for. Be vigilant and make sure you fully research any coin, exchange, or company before handing over your assets to anyone.

I think the best wallet for eth is Trezor , Trezor was the first hardware wallet invented for Bitcoin. However, now Trezor can be used for Ethereum too with the MyEtherWallet web interface. It also stores Ether offline on a secure electronic chip which can be activated only when you log in with your password.
It is a very light and portable device. It comes in 3 colors – white, gray, and black and costs $99.

« on: January 29, 2019, 03:38:56 AM »
It seems that right, the ethereum price every day gets worse, does the addition of ethereum supply cause this? maybe this is just one that makes ethereum prices go down, and surely there are many other factors that make ethereum prices go down every day.
