Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: More and more Scam projects
« on: February 06, 2019, 08:05:45 AM »
The best protection against this fraudulent tactic is to thoroughly research the individual team members of a project before you invest. It's a bad sign, for example, if you're unable to find any information about a particular developer or founder on LinkedIn or other social media outlets. Even if profiles do exist, check to see if their activity seems to match up with the number of followers and likes they accrue. Individuals who rarely engage with their followers and yet have thousands of fans may not be real.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Which is your favourite altcoins in 2019 ?
« on: February 05, 2019, 06:17:36 AM »
I probably choose Zcash, Zcash is our altcoins pick for privacy tokens. We do not condone the use of the darknet. But ZCash is a token that will be used in this particular case. Privacy tokens have tons of uses other than on darknet markets though… We all know people and organizations who shouldn’t know how we choose to spend our money. The privacy aspect of currency is wildly enticing to everyone besides those who control your money. Privacy in the financial world leaves a huge margin for illegal activities. We all deserve privacy, and the consequences of privacy should fall solely on the user, and not the currency. With this mindset, this altcoin will flourish.

Beside internet there is another factor, thats way crypto will not die there is blockchain, The blockchain is immutable, which means it literally cannot die! As long as some computers are running the nodes somewhere, the blockchain will always exist. The hypothetical doomsday scenarios aside such as the destruction of the Internet, all computers, all electricity…outside of the extremely unlikely, the blockchain will never die.

Steem - Steemit Forum / Re: What is Steem
« on: February 05, 2019, 06:10:24 AM »
Steem is the name of the token that can be bought and sold on the open market, based on the blockchain-based platform Steemit. Steemit is a platform that allows publishers to monetize their content that functions similarly to many other social content networks. Think Reddit, but in a way that pays writers and content curators. Steemit rewards writers when their content gets upvoted, and it also rewards people who help curate the best content by upvoting other people’s content. Steem, one of the three currencies the Steem platform offers, is an integral part of this system.

A cryptocurrency is a digital medium of exchange that uses encryption to secure the processes involved in generating units and conducting transactions.

Zcash Forum / Re: What is Zcash?
« on: February 04, 2019, 03:48:29 AM »
Zcash is a publicly encrypted blockchain and scientific breakthrough in cryptography with its use of zero-knowledge cryptography known as zk-SNARKS. This framework allows the user to leverage two addresses: one fully private and one transparent (similar to Bitcoin). The two customizable modes, shielded and transparent, allow your transaction to be completely anonymous or publicly viewable.

Founded by the pseudonymous individual or group known as ‘UtopianFuture’, NEM (New Economic Movement) is a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency and blockchain platform. The NEM source code is not derived from any existing blockchain code, instead, NEM’s source code is written entirely in the Java programming language and is completely original. EOS Forum / Re: What is EOS?
« on: February 04, 2019, 03:28:43 AM »
EOS is a cryptocurrency founded and designed by cryptocurrency serial entrepreneur, Dan Larimer. It aims to be a user-friendly and high-performance smart contract platform that uses a novel design to eliminate transaction fees and enable parallelized decentralized application (dApp) execution. dApps on existing smart contract platforms, such as Ethereum, are often slow and require transaction fees for every interaction. These are limitations imposed by their underlying blockchains, which are optimized for decentralization over of performance.

Monero Forum / Re: What Is Monero?
« on: February 04, 2019, 03:22:36 AM »
Monero is an open-source, privacy-oriented cryptocurrency that was launched in April 2014. The developers involved introduced this innovative cryptocurrency without setting aside any for themselves, and the team has relied on donations and the broader community to further development.
Monero leverages ring signatures and stealth addresses to obscure the identity of senders and recipients. Ring signatures combine or ‘mix’ a user’s account keys with public keys obtained from monero’s blockchain to create a ‘ring’ of possible signers, meaning outside observers cannot link a signature to a specific user.

Dash cryptocurrency, like Bitcoin, is a digital currency which can be used to send or receive payments. In fact, Dash was built on top of the blockchain technology that Bitcoin uses, however, some significant improvements have been made to it. Dash has gained popularity because it offers better privacy and higher transaction speeds than Bitcoin. It can achieve this with the help of a unique model which involves “Masternodes”.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Does bitcoin control the market?
« on: January 30, 2019, 02:22:59 AM »
The idea that investors are the ones who control Bitcoin is not a new idea.  In 2017, Bitcoin hodlers’ collective level of control over the network was put to the test as large companies in the space combined with more than 90% of the network hashrate in an attempt to move everyone over to a new network they would agree to call “Bitcoin.”

Bitcoin Forum / Re: What is Bitcoin? - Bitcoin Tutorial
« on: January 30, 2019, 02:16:16 AM »
Bitcoin is either virtual currency or reference to the technology. You can make transactions by check, wiring, or cash. You can also use Bitcoin (or BTC), where you refer the purchaser to your signature, which is a long line of security code encrypted with 16 distinct symbols. The purchaser decodes the code with his smartphone to get your cryptocurrency. Put another way; cryptocurrency is an exchange of digital information that allows you to buy or sell goods and services. The transaction gains its security and trust by running on a peer-to-peer computer network that is similar to Skype, or BitTorrent, a file-sharing system.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Bitcoin is never dead!
« on: January 30, 2019, 02:10:17 AM »
The sense of urgency is everywhere I look. Bitcoin is dying, and it's time get a new job. The warnings are stark. Bitcoin’s price has lost 70% since its $20,000 peak last year, the Securities and Exchange Commission has rejected every bitcoin ETF it's seen so far and Goldman Sachs has delayed its much-touted roll-out of bitcoin trading.
