« on: January 21, 2019, 08:43:57 AM »There are Bitcoin, and also there are Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold and B2X that we use it as an altcoin, but do we still need other altcoins? as i knew in the forum on the altcoin section there are much announcement about new altcoins almost everyday. do we still need that altcoins?Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency but it does not mean we don't need other altcoins. If there are no Ethereum or EOS, we will lose a global distributed computing system, if there are no Ripple, we will lose a real-time gross settlement system, currency exchange and remittance network and if there is no Hyperion, we will lose a new spatial consensus driven map of the world for decentralized map economy. Altcoins have their meanings to exist but you have to be very careful about the scam and shitcoin.

The price of most of coins usually falls after being listed on exchanges as most bounty hunters dump all their coins after ICO. Selling your coin too early might not be a wise decision. However, you have to fully understand the project if you want to HODL. Do not hesitate to dump shitcoin when you get it, do it ASAP.

I think 90% of altcoins are before their tokenomy make sense. If any altcoins can do something like Ethereum is doing, they are useful. But blockchain is a very primitive industry, we can't ignore other potential altcoins like EOS, BNB and HYN. They have their own plans to develop.

Frankly speaking, too many exchanges is probably not a piece of good news for projects. I have seen too many bad exchanges before. Those exchanges not only hurt projects but also leave very bad impression on investors by manipulating the price of altcoins. The investors will eventually feel disappointed and the projects could not find any investments. I only agree with one thing: it costs less to get listed now.

If you really want to find a good altcoin to invest, you must start from their whitepaper, if you have basic concept about cryptocurrency and blockchain. You need to find out its tokenomy from the whitepaper and try to understand it. If the tokenomy doesn't make any sense, avoid it. BTW, as blockchain can be widely adopted in many industries, so I suggest you should know a little about the industry that the blockchain technology will be applied.
