Bitcoin Forum / Re: BTC showing some strength, will it hold on?
« on: December 14, 2022, 11:22:26 AM »
BTC is moving between $15500 to $17000 and many high investors are taking benefit from this gap, as it is more than enough to grab a good profit from an almost $1500 To $2000 difference.
You are right for daily or short-term traders and this could also be a good position to buy for the long term too even though some analysts are equally saying that the price might go down to around $12k-$10k, however, looking at it from a long term investment perspective, since we believe that BTC could see a new ATH of above $100k when that happens, buy @ $17k isn't a bad idea.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Will altcoins survive a long time like bitcoin?
« on: December 14, 2022, 11:10:39 AM »
I believed that altcoins will survive a long time we can't say that today because all know that bitcoin works is more popular compared to it. All things needs time and i think altcoins need that too so we need to wait until this will go up higher. I just need your ideas what's your thoughts on this topic.

I believe that most altcoins will not survive long-term, especially when the bull run starts. If there are altcoins that can survive, maybe these are the cryptocurrencies that are included in the top 50 in the market, then those that are above there is no certainty if they can last long in this industry.

That's why if you are planning to buy altcoins for the long term, choose the altcoins that are included in the top 20 in coinmarketcap.
First of all, I believe that any Altcoin that is able to survive this bear market should be able to survive the next Bull market as against what you said because most people invest in just any Alt because they are all been moved the trend "Bull Market".

Not all Alts in the top 50 market cap are guaranteed to survive for the long term. I traded some Alts back before the 2017 ATH and most of those Alts today are not even in the top 100 MC. Other than Bitcoin, all other Alts should be traded on timely bases and not for a long-term HODLing IMHO.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Bitcoin On The Rampage?
« on: December 14, 2022, 09:16:46 AM »
if in my opinion in 2021 bitcoin will soar and it has happened, after that bitcoin will gradually decline until 2022 it has also happened in 2022 and in 2023 bitcoin will start to rise again and there may be a new ATH.

New ATH will not come in 2023 as you think. If we are going to follow the previous Bitcoin market trend, the chat shows us that, new ATH usually is achieved after the Bitcoin Halving which means we are looking at 2024 for that to happen even if the Bitcoin price might rise in 2023 but not to an ATH price.

I don't think war can destroy blockchain & crypto, even war makes people see the value of crypto when Ukraine gets charitable donations from all over the world. The more politically unstable, the more crypto & blockchain shows its strength and superiority over fiat.
You are right but my worry here is, in OPs case, it will be a world war which could lead to much destruction from mining fields to electricity and other important infrastructures to the ecosystem and not even mentions all the people that will die and access to a lot of wallets lost or even the loss of access to the wallets even if the people are alive. This can be a major drawback to cryptocurrency.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Just how bad is the bear market right now?
« on: December 13, 2022, 11:55:19 AM »
Yes, the bear season will bring in buying opportunity and could also cause huge loses of the bear continues on the downward trends. If you buy at certain range, for instance, $16k and price  continue downward to $12k, a buyer at $16k will definitely start loosing his or her capital. In addition to the idea of buying low, there is need to good TA/FA before taken a position. I have decided to start buying at $13k because I think that bitcoin price may continue the downward movement to it bottom in near future.
And if the market happens not to get to $13k as you believe it would, then you must have missed out on buying at the current price. I believe DCA is still the best option during the bear market because we cannot really say for sure where the bottom is and regardless of where you bought if you don't sell then it is an unrealized loss until you actually sell.

Investors bought BTC at $19k during the 2017 bull market and it fell to $3k. if anyone was able to hodl through this time till Bitcoin came back to the new ATH of $69k in 2021 that would have been profitable right? So it is all about your ability to Hodl especially Bitcoin investment.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Is a Bitcoin crash inevitable?

I'm new to the form but I think the price of Bitcoin is much lower than before. Nothing can be said about Cryptocurrencies but hopefully you will be able to profit if you hire in it

Please take a look at the Bitcoin Price chat all the way back to 2010 and reconfirm to us that Bitcoin is much lower than before!! The Bitcoin price is basically still in an uptrend to me even though it is currently trading slightly below the previous ATH of $19k+ but this dip has not still reached the dip from ATH of 2017 which was about -83% when compared to the current dip of about -77% and profitability in Bitcoin investment isn't hopeful but certain unless there is some sort of global financial crisis which will also affect other financial markets too and not just Crypto.

I don't think the market is in a bad situation right now, and I don't dispute that the market has fallen a lot, but this is a chance to buy cryptocurrencies at low prices. Those who have been working with cryptocurrency for a long time know that they need to invest in cryptocurrency.
The eyes that you have must see market conditions, which are currently a lot of red and have difficulty increasing prices because there really is nothing that can trigger an increase in Cryptocurrency prices on exchanges, Cryptocurrency is not an investment place because basically Cryptocurrency is a digital currency that used for alternative payments so that price movements are very unstable and very risky if used as an investment.

I don't think @Afony is wrong in what he is saying about the market at least comparing both the 2017 and 2021 ATH drop, Bitcoins price dropped -83% when compared to what the Bitcoins price is reading now -77% from this last ATH.
Secondly, Bitcoin or the general crypt investment is a risk, so you that intend to or have invested in Cryptocurrency should understand this, the Bear market shouldn't come as a surprise to those that have understood that the market has about 3 phases, Bull, Bear, and the accumulation stages so when the Bear market is in play, buy good Coins/Alts as you have the investment for.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Is CBDC RUB in the Russian joke too?!

The global gaming industry generates revenue across three market subsets: mobile, PC, and console gaming, which together are valued in the hundreds of billions of dollars and growing. However, while industry incumbents profit from this robust growth, players generate little lasting value for themselves. After investing in expensive consoles, PCs, or mobile devices, players enter gaming environments that offer a tiered-access user experience. In these traditional games, money flows in one direction: Players must spend money to access in-game content and exclusive features.
Please, this post has nothing to do with what is been discussed here, maybe you should move it to its appropriate board or channel.

China wants to create a digital yuan, Russia too. This is a race for dominance. Certainly good development trends. Following such states, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and neighboring countries will follow. This is to be, because progress does not stand still and needs to be developed.
A race for dominance? Please, what is the real difference between the existing digital banking and the new CBDC these governments are trying to launch? I am in a country that has already launched its CBDC and I can tell you it is not popular amongst citizens and not different from the traditional digital BAnking that is already in place. Hope we are able to realize that this is just another form of fiat money as I have mentioned before in my previous post and let me post this here for you again:
A Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) is the digital form of a country’s fiat currency that is also a claim on the central bank. Instead of printing money, the central bank issues electronic coins or accounts backed by the full faith and credit of the government

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Still buying new tokens and coins?
« on: December 11, 2022, 08:43:48 AM »
I prefer to buy altcoins that have clearer potential than having to buy altcoins or tokens that have just been created, because so far a lot of tokens are scams and there may be scripts that expose you to phishing wallets that allow developers to get access to reap all tokens in your wallet, so you have to be careful if you want to make cryptocurrency transactions.
Likewise. I really don't like investing in New crypto projects and not that some might not be really good in the end but I like to limit my investment risk, especially in a bear market like this. I will only take a little stake when there has been a confirmation that the market is in a bull season and this wouldn't be for a long hodl either.

If the Digital Ruble is realized, then it will be good news for the future of crypto, as we know that several countries that are members of the BRICS such as China have developed Digital Yuan, this allows the use of crypto in the future, although currently some countries prohibit the use of crypto, but I'm sure the country that created the CBDC system will accept crypto in the future

A Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) is the digital form of a country’s fiat currency that is also a claim on the central bank. Instead of printing money, the central bank issues electronic coins or accounts backed by the full faith and credit of the government
You should also be able to see the world's CBDC Dev and launch so far.

So with that definition above, how would that be good news for Crypto? Is CBDC a new cryptocurrency? I believe some of us are getting this CDBC thing confused with Cryptocurrency and that is the Intention of the Governments that are putting out these CBDCs around the world. They are doing this because they don't want their citizens to continue to trade crypto, like china which has banned everything crypto, the Nigerian Government that has Ban Crypto transactions, and some other such countries.

It was difficult for people in the world to accept the fate of Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency in beginning but many people never believed that Cryptocurrency as of today will be widely legalized in so many countries of the world, while some country are still restricting their citizens from making use of Cryptocurrency, why do you think some countries still restricting Cryptocurrency transactions?
I believe by now we all understand what cryptocurrencies mean and stand for, financial freedom mostly and this is the same thing that Government can use to control its citizens, Being able to regulate the financial system is a function of the government and with crypto, people can almost move and spend their money without Government influence, hence some restrictions from some Government around the world. They want to continue to have that control on the citizen.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Bitcoin mining and electricity
« on: December 07, 2022, 07:59:01 AM »
Now it is quite difficult to find free electricity for bitcoin mining and it is problematic to mine it now, of course large companies can engage in bitcoin mining.
I don't know if there was ever free electricity for bitcoin mining :) even those using solar power need the first capital for that installation and subsequent maintenance. So mining is something that is needed for the Network but is quite expensive and only people and organizations with medium to deep pockets can engage in mining.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Crypto Winter May Be Extended!
« on: December 07, 2022, 07:45:05 AM »
At this period of the year, December 2022, it obvious that the bear run is very strong, and without any doubt, crypto winter is proceeding into next year, 2023. Just like certain experts and analyst has predicted, Bitcoin/altcoins may continue on the current bearish movement untill Bitcoin hit the bottom, and we may be far from BTC in hitting the bottom.
Sure, I also believe that we might not be at the bottom yet for the Bitcoin price so we might still likely see a drop below $15k and the bearish market trend might stretch out into 2023. I don't think we have really seen that accumulation stage, all this and some chat analysis prove the bear market is still very much around.

There are a lot of potential altcoins to pump once Bitcoin start the increase trend. Tremendous price of some altcoins are possible but not limited to what you mentioned for there are a lot of potential coins/tokens in the market. Maybe others are blokchain and some are wallets web 3 integrated.
I agree with you. I believe that there are a lot more Alts that will pump along with Bitcoin once we are out of the Bear market and I don't think we can properly predict the market and the particular coins/tokens that will pump even though some are most likely than others, and lets us not forget that the market has been through conditions like this in previous years.
