Like I said in a different thread - after reading replies to my last thread I came to realise that they “Binance delisting NGN” is just being over hyped, I know I used other exchanges before I finally moved to binance and even when they still had naira I was still using some other exchanges for my trades - so why the heck did I start bothering myself with binance and naira news when of a truth it won't affect me.

I'm not surprised at all to know that most investors out there think of Binance as the only reputable exchange whereas there are a host of others with equally good reputation and services, but many of us no like to try new things and eventually when we wan try new things we don't make proper research.

Only a newbie trader have this mindset - they are other exchanges that are of the same league with Binance in terms of security (even more secure than it) - while some offer more features than what binance gives take bybit as an example.

-Easier authentication process:  Unlike Binance where you need
to wait for codes, Bitget just need your funds code to process
 your transaction.

I never knew having authentication set up in your account was a headache for some people.

For the few times I used since I didn't have to wait for any code (unless when I signed in using a different device) to arrive, all I did was use my face ID to verify my account before the coin would be released to the other party, which means the waiting for code is optional and should not be on your list.

-No sudden price change: Na this one dey me extremely important. You see that thing happening where a merchant suddenly changes price and if you're not watchful you go sell short? E no happen for Bitget.

I have only seen this in KUCOIN, all the other exchanges I have used always make sure they notify you of price change and ask if you would like to proceed with the trade or not.

Whichever exchange you go sha use at the end of the day, make sure say e align with your needs but most importantly open your eyes wide make your water no go pass garri as we dey try survive this government.

Whatever exchange you're using just try to be vigilant - you can be using the most reputable exchange in the world and still lose your money if you're not careful enough.

My points exactly. Not everyone on X, FB and other platforms I'm on, acting like we really can't do without Binance. I'm literally not affected by the delisting of NGN in any way

As it stands now, Nigerian investors are left with the option of sourcing for reliable platforms in order to continue using P2P service after Binance delisted NGN from their platform. I'm not surprised at all to know that most investors out there think of Binance as the only reputable exchange whereas there are a host of others with equally good reputation and services, but many of us no like to try new things and eventually when we wan try new things we don't make proper research.

As e be now, we no get choice but to use other available P2P mediums. Since this whole P2P issue come up, I don use different exchanges just to make comparison. I used OKX, Bybit and Bitget and from my personal opinion I fit settle for Bitget for some reasons.

-Good rates
-Easier authentication process:  Unlike Binance where you need

 your transaction.

-No sudden price change: Na this one dey me extremely important. You see that thing happening where a merchant suddenly changes price and if you're not watchful you go sell short? E no happen for Bitget.

- Appeal time is short too.

Whichever exchange you go sha use at the end of the day, make sure say e align with your needs but most importantly open your eyes wide make your water no go pass garri as we dey try survive this government.

Who could have predicted we'd be at these price levels already before the halving even kicks in? Just buckle up, because we're in for one hell of a ride!
one hell of a ride. None of us could have ever imagined that we would be seeing a new ATH before halving. All of our thoughts(before the price increase) were to see an ATH of Bitcoin after halving(as history does have it).
BTC actually did defy expectations because we all thought or maybe the majority of us expected that the new ATH would come right after the halving following previous circles as per conventional wisdom but the market has defied those expectations with its recent price surge.

This also happened with my BGB portfolio...it was fluctuating around the $0.45 range and suddenly it hit an ATH of $1. I guess we really can't predict the turn of events but we know for sure that there are factors driving the price surge rally.

At this point we should be really optimistic to see BTC give or take at $100k in due time.

NFTs & Collectibles / Are NFTs Worth The Hype
« on: March 12, 2024, 09:52:28 AM »
I'm about exploring the sphere of NFTs and I genuinely want to ask a few questions.

Are NFTs really worth the hype? On what platform can collectors
buy, sell, and interact with premium 3D digital collectibles, comics and artworks in the virtual space?

Also, has anyone here used VeVe platform before?

Nigerian Languages / Re: Nigeria government watin happen ?
« on: March 08, 2024, 08:16:32 AM »
As it stands, the government of the federal republic of this country are only after task, and nothing else. Them wan use task finish everything wey dey beneficial to the common masses. I no sure say dem wan block Binance.
Baba dis country na yeye. Like Dem don finally Comot p2p from binance. p2p no dey available for ngn again. The page just blank for binance. I really no understand watin naija plan to accomplish with all these. I hope the naira finally gets its value back.

Make e no be like say after they don stress us finish Naira no go still get value! E no go make sense at all believe me. We need more than just frustrating the operations of crypto in Nigeria to have a better economy.

Nigerian Languages / Re: Is Binance getting Banned the Second time?
« on: March 08, 2024, 07:51:45 AM »
Yesterday, I came across this news where the Financial Crimes called the Binance CEO to present himself on or before the 4th, if not they will take drastic issues.

You can read it here: https://punchng.com/reps-summon-binance-boss-over-alleged-terrorism-financing/

If you ask me, I'd say I'm not scared of what action they want to take. It won't be surprising that most of them even have their money saved in Binance. But has the case of Binance P2P not working, I saw some people online panicking and looking for means to sell out their USDT in fear. This would only make you lose all your money and sell in loss.

We're in the bull market and everything seems bullish, I'll suggest that, instead of getting scared, everyone should find another alternative that will help them sell or gain USDT in profit

Now, how many of you know that  Bitget rewards Merchants on their platform? They give up to 5 USD and above to Escrows that sell 1k USD and above and also have a limited offer for new users trading on P2P.

Then do you also know that OKX exchange is good for airdrop? All those that mined ICE will tell you

*NO PROMO HERE*
We need to start opening our eyes that they're opportunities out there. The best we can do for each other is to help each other, as the Nigerian government are not ready to help.

Like I said, is best we help each other. If anybody have other ways we earn in USD regardless of the crisis. Share it here so others can learn and be calm and see that in every storm there's always a great opportunity out there

I repeat don't sell your USD at loss. USD will rise just watch and see

I agree to that bro everyone should look out for alternative including bybit and other crypto exchange platforms that's more secure like binance with a safe p2p exchange. Look at the current actions took on binance well many of us are being affected here some are in fear of selling their crypto don't worry try another alternative but this actions is really not worth it. Banned of binance is not the solution only making things more difficult for investor's.

Yeah true, despite binance issues other cex have thrived. You mentioned one, but I' also think Bitget is a good alternative. I used their p2p yesterday and I was impressed by their platform.. good rates, etc. will definitely try it out again..

Yes, I also used Bitget's P2P service some days back and I definitely recommend.

Let's be frank with ourselves, what kind of games would you rather play; do you enjoy playing games that encourages you to showcase your gaming ability and skills or would you rather play one that's easy breezy or a walk in the park?

If you're for the latter, that is to say we both share the same uniqueness and that is quite impressive because games that encourages skill-based gameplay like PlayZap; just to mention a few, can improve one's mental skills such as: Problem solving and logic, spatial skills, fine motor coordination and hand-eye coordination.

I might not be the only one on the lookout for games that challenges my gaming skills and possibly, get rewarded for my abilities. Hey, this is not to rule out the fact that it can be quite frustrating sometimes when you get stuck in a particular level that seems impossible to get past, but what if game developers emphasize rewarding skills? That is, the more skilled a player becomes, the higher their potential for earning rewards. This will greatly encourage other players to level up on their gaming skills.

So far, I only know of Playzap ecosystem as a platform that encourages rewards for skills. Are there others?

personally have always had reservations and felt the rush of luck while playing spinning games, alot of times of times my win rates are like 30% .

Don't get me wrong they are interesting and stressful games, you're sitting there, spinning the wheel, heart racing with anticipation, wondering what prize fate has in store for you.

Maybe you've had those moments where you've hit the jackpot or landed on just the right spot those moments of pure excitement and joy.

funny how most of these games pop on my TL, recent one is Bitget's Spin & Airdrop event with rewards of BGB, WLD, STRK, PIXEL tokens, for some it might not be about the rewards but about the thrill of the game, the camaraderie of being in it together with fellow crypto enthusiasts.

you might get luckier than me and share stories with others about your big wins, your near misses, or even that time when you spun the wheel just for fun and ended up walking away with a prize you never expected.
I rarely participate in spinning events, I don't like something that depends too much on luck. Recently I tried participating in a survey event but I think I wasn't lucky enough to become the winner.

Last month, I was lucky enough to win an NFT from the FxBox bounty campaign worth $90 but I believe that now, when the project token price has dropped so much, I cannot sell that NFT to anyone even for $10  :-\

If you believe in your luck, you can continue to participate in spinning events. I wish you good luck and get lots of valuable rewards from these events  :)

    -    ell, congratulations to you, mate. I also have an NFT under the doge, so just like you, I still can't sell it because its value is too low at the moment. Apart from that, it's also because they don't often participate in such so-called spinning events.

I don't even know what OP is saying about that stuff.

I think OP is referring to this Spin and Airdrop on Bitget. You can find more information about it here: https://www.bitget.com/events/activities/bd8c09dc48305c0c9032383d2148e891?color=blue&languageType=0 Those tokens listed are what gives you spinning chances when you trade either of them.

I'm a total newbie when it comes to cars. I recently realized it's really important to check out a car's history before buying it. In the past, if a car seemed like a good deal and looked alright at first glance, I'd just buy it without digging deeper. That's risky because upon further research I got to know the importance of having this vital information before purchasing a car especially if it is used.

I was completely surprised when a car salesman showed me a super detailed report on a car he was trying to sell. The car was connected to the DIMO network, a system that collects info from the car's computers to create a complete history of the vehicle.

While that fancy car was too pricey for me sadly, I was really impressed by the thorough background check and it made me realize the value of blockchain technology to access key details on a used car's past. This made it clear I need to learn more to better evaluate cars before I purchase one.

Who else knew this was possible? Are there other blockchain networks that are capable of collating data and histories of one's car once connected?

People who hold this opinion are usually from privileged backgrounds who have easy access to banking and traditional finance. They've never had to jump through all kinds of hoops just to transfer a few hundred dollars to a family member in a different country. It's easy for them to be ignorant and just smugly dismiss the needs of a great percentage of the population. Being able to access and transfer your own money without needing permission from anybody else should be a fundamental human right. With compliance standards becoming increasingly stricter it might just be a matter of time before people come to understand why Bitcoin is so important, and hopefully they will not have already given up too many freedoms when that happens.

You can bet that I've heard this same opinion from people who aren't from a well to do background. They just believe that crypto in general have no real usage. You can't even convince them lol

27
So in many ways, cryptocurrencies already have practical applications for payments, purchases, and real-world financial transactions. The growing adoption of services like Ivendpay demonstrates the real-world usefulness of cryptocurrencies beyond speculation.

However, some products are not user friendly, aside from buying and selling, many coins don't have much to offer. Even the merchants only allow buying and selling and that's all. Sometimes, even the products are very costly because the merchant are taking advantage of people, instead of them to sell normal price, they charge higher which discourage people from using them.

This too is an issue to look out for that's why I said that the usage of crypto is subjective to the crypto in question as not all of them have something to offer. I'm just debunking the falsehood surrounding crypto in general.

28
It surprises me that some people still do not see the practical uses of cryptocurrencies.
They are still skeptical about crypto-currencies and that's why they don't understand the importance of crypto-currencies. The ones who don't use something can't really understand that how powerful that thing is. Those people won't be able to understand crypto-currencies and their use unless they don't get involved in crypto-currencies themselves.

For example, online payment platforms like Ivendpay support multiple cryptocurrencies, giving users more options for making purchases.
I have never used that platform personally and I haven't heard about them at all but I can surely say that I have used crypto payment gateway life BitPay and they have really allowed me to purchase many goods from online stores. If you are a domain investor or want a web-hosting for your domain then with the help of BitPay you can purchase such domain name from Namecheap without any issue.

Yeah Bitpay too! I've used Bitpay at some point, I checked them recently. I think you should check out Ivendpay as they support various cryptocurrencies. They've got a native token too (IVPAY) currently trading on Bitget.

We have all of these yet people still close their eyes to them.

29

It surprises me that some people still do not see the practical uses of cryptocurrencies. While there are cryptocurrencies without real-world utility, many cryptocurrencies and blockchain-based services enable practical, everyday usage. For example, online payment platforms like Ivendpay support multiple cryptocurrencies, giving users more options for making purchases. This provides flexibility and convenience - customers can pay with their preferred currency. By accepting various digital tokens, merchants also open their products and services to a wider customer base. So in many ways, cryptocurrencies already have practical applications for payments, purchases, and real-world financial transactions. The growing adoption of services like Ivendpay demonstrates the real-world usefulness of cryptocurrencies beyond speculation.
People who doesn't know about it, hesitant, uninterested, one sided, and has this tunnel vision with centralized assets does not really care about the practical uses of cryptocurrency. One day these kind of people will realize how stupid they are for ignoring the potential of cryptocurrency. We have already witnessed how profitable and useful crypto is in the present days so how much more in the future right?

Absolutely! I really can't wait for that big day when their eyes will be opened to the numerous usage of crypto. The space is evolving on a daily basis so you can imagine what the future holds in store for us.
