You talk of VAR removing corruption out of the equation, but unfortunately it's actually much easier to fix games this way as they could easily give hash punishments for simple fouls and deny clear cut penalties and the alike...but at the end of the day VAR has come to the rescue for some of the teams out there, and it being a work in progress I believe it will get there one day!!!

As of you choosing officiating Volleyball over football, I think it's the running around on the pitch you dread not that it's boring...for volleyball the theumpire just sits there looking at their screen which I think is actually boring..no offence OP, but hey we are entitled to our own choices  8)

It's already 2 goals to good of Qarabag against Leverkusen just before halftime, that for sure in something no one could have saw coming. It's still quite plausible that both Liverpool and Roma are ahead against Sparta Prague and Brighton respectively, both results could have been somewhat anticipated before kickoff, however red hot Leverkusen losing to a team from the Azerbaijan league is the upset of the day right now.
I got to know of Qarabag in one of these live streams, and the guys on the panel did emphasize to say this team knows how to steal, and true to their analysis the have goals under their name..maybe this game it's the fans that made a difference but it's an impressive result especially against an in form Leverkusen...let's see if they can pull up themselves as Europa always promises goals! Let's go Bayer Leverkusen, we can do this :'(

Rb Leipzig put up a brave fight against the most decorated team of Champions league games, and I feel Vinicius Junior dodged a bullet after that foul which looked like was a choke which should have seen him sent off and I blame VAR for doing a terrible job here...had VINi seen red here, that goal would have never come and with the amount of pressure we saw coming from Leipzig I think the game would have had a different ending...

But what the heck, what's football without any of these controversial moments...if people don't have anything to talk about then the fun is over  :P

Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be taken as a profession?
« on: March 06, 2024, 08:33:15 PM »
Yes you can make gambling as a profession, but unfortunately not everyone turns out to be profitable at it and statistics of success don't look good either because many users are hungry for success and get so greedy and rush to gamble without mastering their art (strategy) and emotions are everywhere such that when the time comes they lose composure and start to chase their losses.

Totally get what you're saying about gambling – it's so accessible nowadays, especially with the whole at-home setup. But you hit the nail on the head – relying on it for income is a risky move. It's like playing with fire; you never know when things might take a turn.
naked truth, and with low numbers of success, I think this is why many refer to gambling as a game to have fun to avoid it's negative effects such as debt, suicides, broken relationships etc.

Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling: for fun or to earn money?
« on: March 06, 2024, 03:52:29 PM »
In some special gambling threads, they are conflicted regarding the function of gambling, some consider it as fun only and some consider it as a way to earn money quickly. What about you?
I think sometimes we are not honest when it comes to such !

Simple question I would ask, if you choose to gamble with $500 right now, would you feel good about it if you lost it all when leaving the casino...I doubt you would!!

It's for this reason, I would say we all gamble for the money..unless you use gambling as a way to get some form of distraction from say a bad day from work or whatever it is...but 85% of gamblers do play for the money and the rest it has to be for fun! Better yet, if it was never about the money why not play slots with fun money but you choose to play with real funds by depositing which means primary goal is making money ;)

Gambling discussion / Re: BSFL & ASFL Sports Fanatics Leagues
« on: March 06, 2024, 02:00:30 AM »
Great to see BSFL is spreading its wings here, but after the last season  and seeing  several players from the third division not submitting their answers, which meant free points for their opponents...I honestly think there should be a sieving process to try get competitive players onboard to avoid what happened last time out with several Disqualified players for not committing to play and giving free points...and if only this was a paid division this problem would have been eliminated as most people hate to lose their money easily.

@notblox1, hope cro2 got a head's up on this ::) ...

Gambling discussion / Re: Why do male love gambling than female?
« on: March 06, 2024, 01:41:01 AM »
Most of the sports we have around the world are male dominated, which means they understand these sports better than the female fork and makes it easy for them to gamble on.

Another reason I could think of , is most of us believe a man should provide for a woman...which means some males have turned to gambling as a way to find money, perhaps a living too.

Last reason that crosses my mind, men have more free time on their hands and will try to find other ways to kill time, hence the statistics showing more males gamble.

Bayern Munich have pulled themselves back into the champions league after looking like they were on the verge of being eliminated out of the Champions league and with this win I wouldn't be surprised if they are now considered as favourites to win it...but it will be a tough one to write off the likes of experienced and we'll decorated Real Madrid, and on the other hand we have in form Manchester City who seem to have cemented their presence in this competition. Otherwise I wouldn't mind City winning it after playing some great football week in, week out!

24
The referee created unnecessary tension between the two teams, but I won't blame the referee.
Madrid didn't deserve to win this match. They started poorly, and a draw was a fair result. Madrid can't keep playing badly and come back to win.
Despite the drama in that match, Carlo Ancelotti set a good record for Madrid.
Don Carlo has Madrid unbeaten in 21 La Liga matches this season.
Despite the bad call from the referee, this was actually a good result considering they played poorly and get away with a point and on top of that they have to manage their players to avoid injuries and reserve some energy for the upcoming champions league game against RB Leipzig which won't be easy, all in all good result which maintains their lead at the top!!

Btw, what's with Laliga is the many draws week in week out?? I can guarantee you that coming weekend we shall get not less than 3 draws again...is this how they fix their matches or teams just hate losing??

Arsenal of late have gone into overdrive which has seen them get back to back cricket scorelines, but with all these goals they are getting I still don't understand how they failed to win their most recent Champions league tie... could it be that they are more interested in premier league football than the more lucrative champions League?? Especially that it's taken decades and nothing to show for...with the closest being last season which they fumbled which allowed City to steal it from them. Now almost in the same boat , will their ego push them to fight for the EPL especially that this could be their best form ever or they will challenge for a CL slot if they don't get eliminated...

Re: Understand the Betting Option before Gambling
Believe it not but I have had lucky days for not understanding the betting option and when match ended thinking it was a burst but it's settled as a winner... sometimes misunderstanding does pay and this has happened to me on several occasions.

Advice to your friend - better gamble online then. Because the casino will always calculate the results and there would never be such cases when he has thrown away ticket that won.
This is the exact thought that came to mind!!

In this day and age why would anyone punish themselves with these physical betting slips which deny you several benefits such as cashouts, no cases of a lost betslip etc come on guys let's embrace the technology that exists to make life easier :)

First and foremost, when it comes to voting for some aspiring for public office, it means they have something to offer to the people which is the first criteria to be qualified and endorsed by the people.

Secondly, when the politician in question has any other business that could give them any unfair advantage , like awarding themselves contracts etc then they have to declare this, but in terms of running a gambling business...if this is a legal thing in the country it wouldn't much of a problem unless the politician is using it as a money laundering front then with proof he can be brought to book for this.. otherwise I will vote for such a person with a clean sleeve!!

28
The only reason I would want to gamble, is to make some money using my knowledge/skill, and if it so happens that I get to make some money which is above average..then am likely to take less risky bets as gambling becomes much easier when you have bigger pockets to fund your gambling ventures!

Anybody saying they would only gamble for the purpose of having fun are not being honest,if they lost this money to Gambling then you would know that people actually gamble to make more money not the sole purpose of fun.

Here I was thinking for a super Sunday game, Manchester United could steal it from City considering they had Champions league duties in the pipeline..game started United got an early goal through  Rashford and things started to look like they could do it, but looking at the stats ..the possession, the goal attempts, basically everything was pointing in the direction of a City comeback and after the 1st half things did change tremendously and the Citizens gotta goal back and things looked like it will end in a draw after that 1-1scoreline went on for some time not until City went into overdrive and killed the game with two extra goals to seal the win.

All in all it was a brave fight by United, but let's not pretend here we all knew this result was coming and a reason bookies priced City as hot favourites @1.3 odds for the win!!

Awaiting to see Arsenal put pressure on the top teams with a win of their own in a few hours ;)

No doubt Sportsbet.io has the reputation in the gambling ecosystem as they have been in this business for the longest of time, probably safe to say they are among the oldest sportsbooks today among the other known ones and in good standing order.

And with several partnerships with popular clubs such as Southampton, Newcastle, I really don't see how anybody would doubt them, plus features such as Betbuilder are a game changer to the industry as very few crypto bookies offer this...but because Sportsbet isnt accessible to some countries, this leaves.room for other Sportsbooks or casino's to make their mark in this markets , which means very platform has special clientele it serves.
