Nigerian Languages / Re: When Binance returns, will you return back?
« on: April 25, 2024, 06:15:53 PM »
Some sanctions and policies do not always stay the same for long, they can change while a government is still in power, or when they pass power on to a new government. I think that Binance will be back to Nigeria, and when they come back, how willing do you think Nigerians who are into cryptocurrency will be to return back to them for exchange services?
The best part is that not all Nigerians left binance for good. Like myself for instance, I still use binance up till date to do other trading activities. So yes, if binance were to return the Nigeria p2p section, I'll be very happy so I don't get to use two different exchanges to carry out my trading activities like i currently am doing. I just believe that our government wants to tax all these exchanges before they will let them operate in their space. Not just Nigeria has driven binance out. in couple of months now, countries like Philippines, India has driven out exchanges and I guess they all want the same thing which is to pay a fine or to tax them.

In the past, I used to check my holdings in my wallet just like watching a horse race as if I would be winning something if a coin will make it to a certain level. Surely, many people are also doing it now as top coins are getting to be very volatile. I checked the site mentioned above and it is actually good...this is my first time to know of it and I am adding it to my bookmarks.
Though there nothing wrong, checking the market from time to time, but as a long term Bitcoin investor constantly checking the market may reduce the time span of your initial investment plan. I only check the market when I'm less busy or hear news of Bitcoin breaking a new Ath. Or again when I'm doing research on an altcoin I wish to invest in, I try my best to monitor it's movement chart just before I proceed with the investment.

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: How to do basic research?
« on: April 24, 2024, 12:22:52 AM »
My roommate just got hired for some webwork from what I think is an upcoming crypto and I want to get in early, but I am not used to doing research on new companies, and I think the forum is blocking my post when asking about the company by name, so that is not going to work. How do I start on the basic research on a company like that to see if I should invest?

Doing research is as easy as doing your homework back in school days. All you have to do is to get the name of the company I'm question, make Inquiries of what they offer and their terms of service. You can also check for partnership and co operations. Investing In well know company will save you the stress of making working decisions but you still have to do research no matter what.

If they can both agree on the same ground, such collaboration reignition could pay them both and be of interest, i think the same binance exchange have a similar regulation experience with the Nigerian government and they are yet to arrived on a course on what measure to take in coming to consensus, India could also agree if the terms are on their own favour to regulate.
I think the case is different from what Nigeria government are requesting from binance. I remembered when India disabled access to binance but before then, their citizens were free to use these exchanges without any taxes or such. If binance do agree to pay the fine, they it surly won't be the only one they will get to pay hence forth. Similar to what Nigerian government what from binance, they are just trying to blame exchanges for the fall of economy and the local currency. But their major aim is to tax all exchanges in the process.

Please share your thoughts with me in the comments session.
Though betting and gambling which are same thing might be addictive. And ones you get into this, you are likely able to stop. I don't think your regrets will bring back any of the funds you've used in gambling because it's a game of win or lose. Just so you know, gambling can make you rich, at the small time can render you poor. If you gamble too much and end up becoming addicted, you make yourself open to risk of losing everything. if you feel like gambling has affected your life negatively then i think its higher time you stopped.

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: Basic Concepts Of Bitcoin Mixers
« on: April 21, 2024, 12:37:59 AM »
Nice guide by the way op. At least for those who doesn't know what Tumblers are, can start from here.

Quote
In recent times, some have argued that mixing and tumbling are two different terms. They propose that Bitcoin tumblers are services that mix coins from multiple users, while Bitcoin mixers are services that break up the transaction history of Bitcoin. Whichever concept is aligned, the main purpose is to provide anonymity to those who use it.

They are generally known as tumblers. They're designed to enhance Bitcoin privacy. Whether you call them mixer or a tumbler, they're the same thing. Like you said, most mixing services today are centralized, meaning they're controlled by a single entity and third parties. Only a few, like CoinJoin, operate in a decentralized manner. When using a mixing service be aware that centralized mixers have full control over your coins during the process. So, it's important to research and choose reputable services to avoid the risk of losing coins. Many new mixers are entering the market, but most of them are scams or have ulterior motives. Remember, while increasing your privacy, you should also be smart enough to protect your coins too.

Suggestion Box / Re: Mixers Board
« on: April 18, 2024, 09:39:04 PM »
It is true that some of us see the forum as a money-making machine, while the admin has a completely different point of view. So, they are not going to hear our suggestions when it comes to risking the forum. What if they transfer the control to Cyrus, who is from Romania?

As far as I know  he is the domain admin. While theymos is the forum admin
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Sirius
I sometimes get confused when relating Sirius and Cyrus as far as I'm concerned, they are two different persons. Sirius has been inactive for a long time. While this Cyrus which is a global moderator and Admin is always active and constantly moving topics to right boards. (Some one should correct me if I'm wrong). Maybe I need to do more research about those two.

Anyway, I am going off-topic again. Since Bitcointalk already banned all the mixers, I don't think they will unban them anytime soon. But if the forum administration changes, they might change some rules. For now, Altcoinstalks is welcoming everyone.
Yea I don't see BitcoinTalk admin altering his decisions soon. Unless for some reason mixers services are no longer disturbed by regulatory bodies I don't see theymos return mixers back to Bitcointalk.

Nigerian Languages / Re: USDT vs Bitcoin
« on: April 18, 2024, 01:55:53 AM »
Every crypto currency has a unique advantage of feature over the others except some shit coins. So weather you buy Bitcoin or usdt, it depends on your choice or value. For an investor who wants his initial capital to appreciate over the long run then Bitcoin is for you. While for a trader who always uses his coins for daily purchases and might not want it's value to depreciate due to volatility of the market then you may consider using a stable coin. But what ever you chose to use, you have to know that the power bitcoin holds is far more different from rest altcoins.

actually brought this up here because of I have not been myself, I would had taken that inspirations to go gambling with amounts of money which I may not be affordable to loose because I am sure that I would not win that much easier as it was in the Demo.
So far so bad I think this is also how some gamblers are inspired to irresponsible gambling of what is not affordable to loose all because of chasing huger profits.

Demos are just to give you a feel like experience of the real game. So weather you get tempted to play or not, the whole idea about demo might just be same experience with the real games but then you would have to up your skills. I actually experienced same feeling in my earlier gambling days, where you get to test out the new sites with their demo. Some casinos requires registration before being able to access these demo. Though what your said might be true as the experience you get in demo may be a bit different when you've finally deposited and play for real.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Bitcoin price speculation and analysis Thread
« on: April 18, 2024, 01:40:50 AM »
I'm hoping it would be something like the WO thread where we can discuss, enjoy a bull market and encourage one another during the bears.

Hmm, its a nice idea mate but the Wo observer thread is as old as BTT and many legends contributed in making that thread what it is today. So except members from over there who are of such same interest would want to start same discussiohere then you thread would be a success. If it's the later, I'll advise you try keeping the thread active. Soon others might see it's usefulness and join in.

Though you might not be able to design something like chart buddy which updates the prices of Bitcoin hourly, you might consider making an periodic summary of Bitcoins price like in a chart. It may be per day or hours just to keep the thread active and let everyone also be updated.

Tell me what you think in the comments session 👇👇

You should only quit at that point when you hit the jackpot. I guess it was your lucky day. For some Gamblers, they usually would think of replaying after such wins maybe out of greed. For me I'll just walk away and return another good day. You can't predict what will happen next if you had gambled again that day so it will be better to quit at that point.

Why would someone fear airdrops? You are either not participating or participating and wasting your whole time in them. Most times why some people are discouraged about these airdrops and free tokens are because most of them worth less amounts after they are launched and listed on their mainnet and exchange. Though most of them are just pump and dump tokens but there's nothing to lose so why should you be afraid. The only time you get to loss something is when you ignore the fact that most of these airdrops might be scam and then you connect you funded wallet to them. You just have to be smart and look for genuine airdrops there's nothing to be afraid of.

It's a nice idea you've got here op. Though it might take a lot of time and practice but you should be able to start small and then learn the mystery behind creating a BB code. I ones learnt or tried learning but then at some point I just stoped and learnt how to design avatar instead. And I'm pretty sure most people can do that its just a minor skill. But Nevertheless, keep it up.

Announcements [ANN] / Re: DONT BUY THIS $DUMB COIN
« on: April 14, 2024, 01:16:47 AM »
All good bro. Dumb coin doesn't have transaction limit, but it still not a reason to buy it!

Some good for nothing investors might want to take chances and buy this dump coins. I think I've seen it in several places now and I kept wondering why would someone create a token and give them some funny names. Only dump people would invest in such projects. Dump your funds and be dumped. Lol please we should avoid such.
