1. Avoid spending without a plan

Many folks are unconcerned or simply do not want to spend. They don't care if they have more money or if they have money left over until the month is concluding. They will then protest that they don't have any more money because they have no idea how or where they are. It is going to be spent. And how many times have you gone shopping or grocery shopping without a list, which ended up costing you?

You didn't have anything planned? Because if you want to save money, you should continue to make plans about what you buy.

I can relate to this at an early age when I got my job and every time I got my salary I spent mostly on beer, partying and other useless things. After that I always asked myself how much I spent because my money was already gone and I had no idea where it went aside from partying. Also I just realized that even if you spend a small amount you should have a tracker on it to know how much you've spent because even that small amount will accumulate over time, and it is huge.

The only reason was that they were lacking knowledge and discipline, because if they had that, they wouldn't get easily scared of price dumping. Most of the newbies are doing this because they bought only on green days, which they thought they would continue, but when the price drops, they will now be scared. Though there is nothing wrong with this as this is part of the learning, the problem is that you are still committing it after that hard learning.

Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling effect of you life!
« on: January 23, 2024, 06:12:06 PM »
Luckily I don't belong to those gamblers who have bad habits or problems with gambling because I can control myself and I gamble occasionally. The only effect in my life is that when I win a bet which I am able to purchase something like food or beer it makes me feel happy but that does not mean that I will gamble more, it was just the fun that winning brought to me. Gambling is just for fun for me so it was just time killing machine on me if I was bored.

One piece of advice that I got from the internet is that to have a target profit on that day, the target profit should be achievable and not that huge. Also, limit your trades like 1 or 2 trades per day, no matter how good the market is because this really starts the greed. Though it still requires proper discipline having to start with that advice and strategies can give you more control over yourself, preventing you from blowing out your account.

Practice makes perfect, and have a discipline .Start with a demo account. I know there are a lot of views about demo accounts, but that is a good start if you don't want to deposit money and lose it afterwards. You just need to be disciplined to think that the demo account is real. Always backtest your strategy and also do it on live trade, sometimes even just imagining your entry. I went from a demo account to depositing minimum money on a trading platform just to test the waters until I got comfortable.

Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling acceptable in your country?
« on: January 18, 2024, 06:02:35 PM »
I have done a lot of research to find that many countries do not accept gambling which means you cannot gamble directly even if you want to. But online gambling is now running in all countries and they can easily gamble online while maintaining privacy. But in most of the Muslim countries playing it is totally prohibited so people of those countries cannot directly play offline gambling. However please comment on its acceptability in your country.
I am from the Philippines, where gambling is permitted as long as it is licensed or registered with a specific government agency that manages the gambling industry. However, unlike other countries that impose strict regulations on gambling activities, there is relatively little regulation in our country. This has become the reason why some illegal online casinos operated by Chinese people to continue their operations, despite being considered illegal.

They can easily pay corrupt officials to not get caught or else they can obtain a license because they have a contact inside. Recently the operation of government to take down illegal casinos has tightened and guess what? Only a small number of illegal casinos got caught, not those whales. That is why those rich Chinese people want to operate here in our country because they can easily evade. The government also wants all of the gambling activities like casinos to pay tax which is why they are closing those illegal ones.

Gambling discussion / Re: Don't Borrow Money To Gambling.
« on: January 17, 2024, 01:52:55 PM »
A Gambling addicted friend of mine borrowed $80 from Point of Sale (POS) girl and used it to gamble thinking that he would win and pay back the money with interest but ironically the money lost for the gambling and when it is time to pay back the money, there was no money to pay back again and he ran to me to give him loan and he game me his mobile phone ( Tecno Spark 10) as collateral, and took the phone and gave the money. And early in the morning, the following day, he come again that he wants to sell his solar system so he can used the money to settle some debt. And I bought it from him as a cheaper price. And I was not comfortable with it so I called him to come in the evening and asked why he sold the solar and he told me that he sold it to pay some gambling debt. And I gave him some advice. And we depart.
What do you think this guy should do to stop this habit because I have tried my best to stop him but no way. You input is needed.

He will only stop when he has already sold all his belongings or even his home. Only he can help himself or his family, and they will force him to seek help from professionals and go to rehab. Mostly this is the only thing that can help gambling addicts, they need to go to rehab and after a few months they get cured. It is best to try to tell his relatives or family about his actions as that is not good now.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Don't buy bitcoin only because of FOMO

Sure. There are many indicators to determine the entry (buy) and exit (sell). But these indicators only increase the chance to get the best time for both entry and exit, there is no guarantee that the indicators to give the exact results. However, when we use the indicators, we already do the right way. Although they are not 100% accurate, but they must be very helpful. It is much better than we do it without any approach and with no indicators.  ;)
The use of indicators in trading teaches us that everything will relate to data that has existed in the past and not only my technicals, but fundamentals will be very influential and will match technical analysis.

Although there is no 100% guarantee, it will relate to the probability that will occur or the chance that the price will be reached as predicted using the indicator.

A person does not even use any indicators to make predictions, only using their feelings, such as guesswork.
I stopped using indicators because I don't trust it rather I even  place trade as a newbie  but with  more technical analysis .I don't use indicators  doesn't mean I do  a guess trade  so there're different  strategy of trading  and everyone is free to use any of which is best comfortable with

There are even naked chart traders, they don't have any indicators and they just watch the candlesticks and imagine the pattern. Indicators are always lagging, but if correctly used they guide you to a higher chance of winning a trade. An indicator is a tool like a calculator that you can easily use to calculate how the market goes so if you don't properly use it, it will show false information. Traders are different, so we should respect if others do not use indicators like you and let them do their best on trading.

It's hard because I lost my job during the pandemic and it was difficult to find jobs at that time, but it is still a blessing because I was able to find a job after a few months of struggle, and guess what? It's remote work, so I shift from the office to remote work, and I don't need to have a budget for transportation as I only need to pay for my internet. It is a blessing in disguise as the other door closes, there will be a new and better door open, which is where I am working now.

If I were in his situation for sure I would throw my phone since that was a very unlucky one. I haven't experienced that with gambling as I do make sure that when I do gamble there is no third-party hindrance that makes me lose, so I should be using a working and fast device. I only experienced not being able to bet on a match in the NBA that I was supposed to be betting on, but because I saw something I needed in an online store, I used the money that I was supposed to be betting on that game to buy that item, and guess what? I am supposed to be winning 3x my bet.

Gambling discussion / Re: The Positives of Gambling
« on: January 11, 2024, 06:07:39 PM »
More often than not we relate gambling with negativity because of its implications like addiction and financial ruin but I want to take a different stand and draw attention to the fact that although gambling has negative connotations, there are positives that can be cropped from gambling.

Gambling has entertainment and educational value and these aspects are often neglected but this post will draw our attention to these benefits. In the area of entertainment, some gamblers engage in gambling for fun and entertainment, and when gambling is approached from this dimension it leads to satisfaction, happiness, and excitement. It is worth noting that individuals who see gambling as entertaining do not face the negative consequences of gambling since gambling itself is a source of happiness for them.

In the area of education, gambling can enhance one thinking especially gambling which requires a high level of rationality to win. In addition, engaging in sports betting specifically football betting can make someone know different countries and cities.

They are good with numbers too. I've noticed that those people who are into gambling can easily calculate numbers because they are always involved in it because of their winnings or bets. I am not good at numbers, mostly when it comes to calculations but they can add them up quickly. Also entertainment as it brought fun to us, but there are more negative aspects of gambling than positive ones, but the important thing is that we have fun while at the same time we can control ourselves.

Gambling discussion / Re: Do you tell your husband you gamble?
« on: January 10, 2024, 06:15:01 PM »
Why are we keeping it secret? That's your husband, and he will understand. Also, there would be someone looking after you if you were going beyond the limit to prevent addiction. Probably you are just scared of what he will say, it will be test a in your relationship in case he disagrees. In today's generation, most people know about gambling, while others are casual gamblers, people already accept it except those who are very religious, but others are good at it as long as you are not addicted to it.
