Nigerian Languages / Re: SEC Asks NTC to Block Binance in Philippines
« on: April 04, 2024, 09:01:32 AM »
It is true that currently many are panicking about what response the government has made to Binance, Binance prefers to accept the accusations and leave Nigeria and close all trading access to Nigeria's local currency. Binance is a very large company or platform and it is not good if the government takes action like that, with what this government has done it is very detrimental to its people.
I think the government is too aggressive and doesn't want to have a discussion before making a statement, this kind of attitude is very unwise to be called a government. The government should be a bridge between the community and big companies like Binance. If the government before giving this statement could have spoken better and more politely and invited the people in charge of Binance in Nigeria then they wouldn't be like this. If Binance is too disappointed then now the people are the victims.

Nigerian Languages / Re: Know More About the Forum as a Newbie

With your explanation, I prefer not to copy anything from outside forums. If that's the case then we can copy ideas from outside forums but have to use our own vocabulary. Don't use the same sentences but have the same idea or purpose of the question.
That's right, by making the topic better purely from the contents of our heads, what you want to speak, prepare it well and choose to use good and polite language, there is no need to make people angry or think badly. So before making a post, we have to check and research further because many people read our sentences.

Nigerian Languages / Re: Bitcoin fake calls

This is not about friends and families but about when you are in public. I think it will be hard to have a very close friend and the friend not know that you know much about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. But it is not good to discuss about cryptocurrencies in public in a way that strangers will be hearing you. If it is about friends, I even like to educate my friends so that they can know more about bitcoin also.

This country na big joke. International diplomats under prison detention escapes. Do they really know what they are saying. Do you know how this sounds to the international community? How do we explain to their nation if something's happens to them in the cause of their escape.
Do you not know we are exposing our security architecture or apparatus to the international community as not reliable.
What happened to the prison warders there stationed. How were they able to gain access to the major exit.
All these questions just shows lapses in our security system which is very dangerous for us as a nation.
Do you know what that means? International spies can penetrate our  country without anybody knowing, they could do whatever they want and go their way without being disrupted. Nigeria security apparatus is just too weak.
I think the prisoners in prison were able to escape because the Nigerian security forces received money to keep their mouths shut, because so far when we have a lot of money in this country we can do whatever we want. This kind of system is indeed old. and must be repaired to increase state security.

Off topic & Sports / Re: We should be mindful of the way we post
« on: April 04, 2024, 08:26:06 AM »
You are right. The users who post with the sole reason to earn easily get demotivated when he isn't earning and so will involved in post-bursting or stay for weeks without posting. This forum as you noted should be for knowledge gain and so as you learn from the opinions of others, you should be rational and articulative in your post so that others can learn from you. Understand that here is where knowledge is shared and not where money is made. With this mentality, users can be more constructive in their post.
Many people are like that. Usually in large forums there will be many who try to create new accounts with the aim of earning income on that forum. As you have said and I also agree, forums are used to learn and find information that can be useful, They can learn economic lessons that not everyone is taught by many people. Cryptocurrency forums can also provide information about newly developed technology. So let's make this forum a good and friendly thing because we can also share karma without any limit.

Nigerian Languages / Re: How is the price of USDT affecting us
« on: April 04, 2024, 08:21:30 AM »
Op please make it clear is it USD or USDT? Which of them? And I am also seen another person used USSD so I am really lost in the currency sign here. And I think it is USD that is affecting naira and not USDT. And why dollar is affecting the naira because in we use dollar more than the naira. Even in radio programmes instead calling naira but they called dollar. We give the valu to dollar instead of naira. So the country is dollarcentric . Tether is a stable coins and we all know that and if a cryptocurrency is equal to a dollar then that coin can't move market because people are interested to invest to a coin that is volatile and has bear time and bull time. I don't know for the security of the project since I am not using it for now.
USDT follows the price movement of USD, so all currency conversions around the world are based on USD, including the naira which still follows USD exchange. Our currency doesn't have much value out there, whereas USD already has a lot of value that can be used for buy whatever we want.

Agreed. We have too much enough quality posts on this board but yet the karma rate is low.  We have to do better.
Really to that effect na true tok be that but I dey give +karma whenever I see good post or comments in dis local board but I no received karma for those threads wey I dropped but who knows 😂 since we no dey see who dropped am but the time and and comments go tell us. Abeg Make we dey try. As Charles -Tim said karma wey dey more decentralized pass merit system na come dey hard to get. Really di matter e no clear for here. Make we dey push on. I appreciate everyone here for the encouragement and support.
I no know whether na btt blood don enter everybody wey be say free Karma wey you go fit give quality post, you come dey feel say e go finish. One thing wey I like this forum be say you no need earn karma before you fit give person karma, so make we no neglect to use am for post wey dey quality to get karma. Me self, I follow for people wey no too take this karma thing serious, but henceforth I dey game.
Agree, the amount of Karma on this forum is very free without any limits, unlike other cryptocurrency forums which have limits on the amount of karma for new users and old users who have a lot of karma, only karma sources can get karma easily. By giving good responses without AI copy pasting and being useful, there will be the potential for other people to give karma.
