ICO Drops is my favorite. While ICO bench appears to have been inactive for a long time, ICO Drops is still alive. I got to know several DeFi projects on it.

To increase your rank, ensure that you are posting rightly  no spams or low quality posts. With time, you will rank up so I was told too.

Basic questions about this forum / Re: Multiple accounts in forum
« on: August 17, 2020, 01:24:35 AM »
If you are creating a multiple account for the purpose of participating in bounties and airdrops, I can bet it with you that no bounty manager will accept duplicates because it prevents others from participating in the program and will definitely hamper the marketing reach of the project if all they've got registered use multiple duplicate accounts.

Forum related / Re: 2nd year of Altcoinstalks; what can you say?
« on: August 13, 2020, 09:13:18 PM »
It's good to see Altcointalk growing by the day. I registered 2 years ago but I didn't really visit here as I do on Bitcointalk. However, I like how this forum operates and I hope people can see this and port here.

You've got a good idea but I believe that Altcointalk has to be positioned in the right way that attracts various blockchain projects to do their marketing here as Bitcointalk forum get more attention than here. This forum needs quality traffic.

Forum related / Re: About Kyc
« on: August 13, 2020, 09:06:11 PM »
What advantages does a user get from doing KYC on this platform? Will it be accepted by projects running bounties on Altcointalk rather than they doing it themselves?

Forum related / Re: Badge "Spammer 100 Posts Per Day "?
« on: August 13, 2020, 09:03:45 PM »
A whooping 100 posts in a day? That's posting on steroids. Ah ah. If you take a closer look at some of the posts, it might actually be spams. There should be limit to the number of posts a user can make in a day to ensure quality posts and engagement ls.

Thanks for this. I find it very helpful because I've been wondering what it takes to rank up too having been a member of this forum since 2018.

Forum related / Re: [Discussion] Plagiarism Penalty

Altcointalk is more friendly to members than Bitcointalk apparently. I think the rules are explicitly explained concerning plagiarism but there are some posts that you may have to post in the same for it was posted by the original writer, for example, news.
I believe that once the poster includes the source of the original article, it should still be okay.

Forum related / Re: Why i prefer Altcoinstalks more than Bitcointalk
« on: August 11, 2020, 01:44:01 AM »
I regret not using this platform all this years that I opened an account here. By now I would have become a very high-ranking member because of the better way it operates compared to Bitcointalk.

Centralized exchanges (CEX)  have been pivotal to the growth of blockchain and easy exchange of cryptocurrency. Decentralized exchanges (DEXs) on the other hand have been far from mass adoption because of issues such as low latency, inferior liquidity, front-running, and a few other problems. Yet, many agree that DEXs are the future of blockchain token economy as the centralized nature of CEXs defeat the main mantra of blockchain, which is decentralization.

But in recent times, especially as decentralized finance (DeFi) began to gather steam, coupled with the launch of DEXs such as Uniswap, many traders have potted to DEXs for token exchange. As a matter of fact, Coingecko reported that trading volume on DEX increased fivefold more than CEX in the month of July.

Could this mean that DEX is getting close to outperforming CEX and becoming the primary exchange for traders and investors?

What's your opinion about this?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Which coins now you buying?

I loaded up Ethereum, BNB, and few DeFi tokens. It's DeFi season so I wanna ride with the tide and disembark once it loses steam
But for the long term, BTC, ETH, are prime.

Sorting Box / Re: Is bounty campaign here isnt good enough?
« on: August 11, 2020, 01:26:32 AM »
While Bitcointalk gets more attention than here, I can tell you that projects can get more quality engagement here than BTT. Maybe you have not participated in the right bounties, many projects have paid hunters well here. Even recently, DIA is an example.

Sorting Box / Re: Is it possible to earn participating bounty?
« on: August 11, 2020, 01:23:49 AM »
Bounty can be very rewarding especially when you are lucky to get into good projects. The payment can be lucrative but the rewards handed out by many projects are very measly or sometimes worthless if the project launch is not successful. So it's a risk, you win some and lose some rewards.

Sorting Box / Re: Is kyc dangerous?
« on: August 11, 2020, 01:19:03 AM »
KYC has both good and bad sides. The good side is that it helps to authenticate the identity of someone and ensure its legit but on the other side, if it falls into the wrong hands it might be used by others for different purposes that the owner is not party to. There are situations where some people sell KYC documents of others, at least I can remember that scandal in the year of ICO hype. It happened.
