Dash Forum / Why I invest in Dash?
« on: October 10, 2018, 03:34:50 PM »
Why I invest in Dash?

Ethereum is great. It's a programmable block chain with lots of level 2 projects, Raiden, Augur, StorJ, etc... I hold some Ethereum, but Dash is my biggest position nowadays.

I feel that Dash is much simpler to use and more focused to be Money.

1. Instant transactions (InstantSend). About 2 seconds in Dash vs 17 sec in Ethereum is very important for retail brick-n-mortar shops. Compared to 10 min in Bitcoin on it's best-day.
2. Dash Masternode Voting - governance mechanism, similar to shareholder voting in traditional corporations.
3. Incentivized Masternodes. - even if our block chain will grow huge, it's incentivized to buy new hardware to keep up with demand.
4. Dash network can pay it's own expenses. Dash developers are getting paid in Dash right out of the block chain, and even sponsor an advertisement campaign from it's block chain rewards. Bitcoin and Ethereum never had anything like it. Put it simply, the economic model of Dash is superior. For example we will vote with our Masternodes for Charlie Shrem's Dash Mastercard, and he will get paid by the Dash network for his start-up business. https://www.dashcentral.org/p/DASHPAYCARD-DEBIT-CARD
5. Dash is a drop-in replacement for Bitcoin, while Ethereum has a learning curve. It means that it's easier to adopt for merchants, that already accepts Bitcoin. Dash wallets are simpler to use.
6. I think Ethereum could become the Linux of crypto-currencies. Scalable, programmable, powerful and open, but hard to use. Especially if you want some advanced features. Very few people can take advantage of the Linux system, as compared to Windows. Same here: very few people will have the technical skills to take advantage of Ethereum's programmability, while Dash stays much simpler for day-to-day use.
7. Monero transactions are huge, about 40x bigger than Dash or Bitcoin. It will not scale in my opinion.
8. Biggest reason by far: Bitcoin is dysfunctional. My transactions take between 3 hours up to 26 hours to confirm, when a year ago I used to confirm in 10 minutes . Bitcoin used to provide me a service, but now it provides me a dis-service. I have sold most of my Bitcoins for Dash.

Next to Bitcoins there are several different other crypto currencies like DASH, ETC, ETHEREUM, LTC, XRP. Do you believe in them? Are there any Advantages and/or disadvantages?

Bitcoin Forum / Re: How popular is bitcoin in your country?
« on: October 10, 2018, 03:29:38 PM »
In our country, not many people are familiar with bitcoin, but over time, it will definitely increase and many will join directly in popularity, now the era is sophisticated
Do you think Bitcoin will become the reserve currency of the world sometime in the future? I was wondering about this since Bitcoin is now a widely used cryptocurrency worldwide. Since most altcoins in the market today, are dependent on Bitcoin's price movements, it seems like Bitcoin is the reserve currency of cryptocurrencies.

However, if Bitcoin tends to become more popular each day, it could eventually take the USD's place as the reserve currency of the world. Hence, what are your thoughts about this? Will it happen or not?

Cryptocurrency Trading / What happens to crypto in a crash?
« on: October 10, 2018, 03:26:49 PM »
Many economist are predicting a crash soon. Even if it doesnt happen soon, we know from history that the crashes happen about once a decade so it will only be a matter of time. What are your predictions for crypto? I haven't really seen it being mentioned much in these reports or articles but i think we might be in a world of hurt.

Cryptocurrency discussions / So many cryptocurrencies !
« on: October 10, 2018, 03:21:07 PM »
There are 1624 currently active cryptocurrencies and more than 100 cryptocurrencies exchanges working right now in 2018.
With so many cryptocurrencies in the market Without regulations I feel there should be some body to legalize only a few , since its not like the more the merrier!
It just increases risks of any Fraud.
Small companies often are at a risk of shutting down with so tough competition.
The reason why the percentage of market Bitcoins dominates isn't exactly because they got less investors now , it's just because with so many currencies around the globe it's getting saturated and distributed .
Only some of them would be successful like 10-20 but with this tough competition it's risking people's investments and both these small small exchanges.
I strongly believe that a regulatory body should tackle this and then make a decision.
I think is negative in it's own way.
Share your opinions below , do you think it's positive ?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: How to Identify crypto scam
« on: October 10, 2018, 03:19:36 PM »
Every crypto currencies has their own roadmaps and I think it is their responsibilites, developers, to take the road that in their mind, will make their crypto  successful. If their crypto currencies did not survive the cruel competition with a lot of other opponents then I think that is the fault of the developers and we don't need to think about it since we are just basing our investments on their future plans and strategies.

Cryptocurrency Price Speculations / Re: ETH prediction
« on: October 10, 2018, 03:16:02 PM »
I think ethereum will stay stable arround 200 level before ETF news are done. We don't know what the decision will be, if ETF approve it than maybe ethereum will break at $300-400 level but if not Maybe this coin can be fall bellow $200 level.
IMO it is still good to trade on daily but still risky for long term hold investment.
I just failed to understand what exactly are you trying to here. You mean to say you will create a new currency. Then you will speculate on it, and give it to all for free. Then we use it to trade and then again speculate over this. I am completely confused as to what is this about, can you please simply a little more, or if any one could explain what does op wants?

Ethereum Forum / Re: Ethereum a threat to bitcoin
« on: October 10, 2018, 03:12:21 PM »
I don’t see Etherium as a threat to Bitcoin however I do think it is possible that Etherium could pass Bitcoin in market cap.

The reason I don’t consider this as a threat is that I believe that these two coins have different uses. I see Bitcoin admire if a store of value like digital gold. I see Etherium as more of a platform for tokens. I think they will both exist together.

Ethereum Forum / Ethereum has begun to show positive trends
« on: October 10, 2018, 03:10:39 PM »
The price of Etherum has now shown a very good price stability and therefore it can be seen from Etherum's price movements that have started to increase. Now many people are starting to re-use crypto and this also has an impact on price movements experienced by most other altcoins. I am optimistic when Etherum prices can increase then automatically the other coin prices will start to move very positively.

If this can be maintained it is not impossible that Etherum prices can reach fantastic value and can even exceed 500USD by the end of 2018.

As we all have seen ripple has been quite strong these past few days and with all that it has done over the past months compared to most other currencies and the launch of xrapid is actually starting to show in its price.
There is so much talk about ripple taking over bitcoin and being 10$ what are your thoughts on this ?
