EOS Forum / Re: Are you holding EOS?
« on: October 01, 2018, 07:02:39 PM »
The best strength of EOS is the people behind it. Though being new, it is backed by popular figures in technology and a active team of researchers.
It has achieve more in just a year what other of it's alternatives are trying to achieve for years, namely NEO and NEM. And is much better than it's mother Ethereum in all ways.

NEO Forum / Re: Is NEO good choice for long-term investment ?
« on: October 01, 2018, 06:55:54 PM »
One of the reasons that makes it attractive is that the NEO platform is available in almost all languages, such as Java, Kotlin, Microsoft.net, Go and Python. All this aiming to expand the community and attract new investors and developers.
Many on the market show they still believe in their future. A good proof is that the cryptomoeda despite having several falls, already shows signs of recovery that would not be possible without some investors / users believing in its potential.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: How to make cash without investing?
« on: October 01, 2018, 06:48:31 PM »
You can have some cash by simply joining airdrops and bounties that needs time for you to earn them weather the coins are successful on their ICO or just some shit coins in the market. But for me the best way to earn real money is by joining signature campaigns that gives enough cash but you need to get a higher rank for you to have a higher chance to be accepted. And by that you can start your trading journey by the money you earn in that signature campaign.

I think ERC20 wasn't long survived because the Ethereum network already has scalability problems. and then Ethereum Foundation is still promoting the ERC20 standard event tokens when it is known to contain bugs. The same situation as it was with TheDAO previously. They need to say "Stop this now" but they will not.

Swiss Financial Services Company Raises $100 Million to Launch Crypto Bank
A financial services company based in Zug, Switzerland has raised roughly $104 million (100 million CHF) from investors as it looks to create a bank to lets consumers trade fiat for digital currency.

According to Bloomberg, Seba Crypto AG raised the cash from a mixture of private and institutional investors.

One of the people behind the venture said the company has been speaking with the Swiss financial authority known as Finna about submitting an application for a license by the end of October.

Hopes right now are to have a license secured by mid-2019. The startup is headed by two former UBS managers, Guido Buehler, who serves as CEO, and Andreas Amschwand, who serves as chairman.

Bridging The Gap Between Banking And Crypto
Buehler told Reuters how the goal of the venture is to “bridge the gap between traditional banking and the new world of crypto.”

He noted how Seba would offer a myriad of services, including custody, trading, and virtual currency asset management for private and institutional investors.

Buehler also asserted that Seba, who would be able to offer “bank accounts in fiat and crypto,” would help fill a “critical missing element of the currency ecosystem,” since many banks are not really willing to open accounts for companies involved in the cryptocurrency (or blockchain) spaces.

The vision behind Seba, according to Buehler is to make it possible for people to log onto online banking serves to “have access to crypto and fiat within one account.” Investors in the venture include entitles like Black River Asset Management AG and Summer Capital, who stand alongside a number of local and global backers.

Buehler says some of the funds will go towards actually building the company, while others will be allocated towards capitalizing in order to provide investor protection. Overall, he expects to double the number of company employees by the tail end of 2019, while also eventually expanding out to Singapore and other parts of Europe at an undetermined time.

Banks & Cryptos / Banks and Crypto
« on: October 01, 2018, 06:25:12 PM »
Many people are worried about banks and their goals in crypto. Do banks want to destroy crypto because it causing troubles for them? Do banks want to take control upon crypto and make it part of their system? I think it's more simple. Banks see how popularity of cryptocurrencies grows. How fast it getting stronger. It's being mined, traded and invested. People use it for payments. And they just want to take part in it. You know, get a little piece of this crypto cake. In my view of future they will not take control or destroy crypto. Banks will just join this business and will provide easy access to the crypto for people who use their services. Let's talk about it...

Bitcoin Gold / BTG / SMOS Mining Questions
« on: October 01, 2018, 03:06:37 PM »
Hello Everyone:
I'm looking to get some help on overclocking settings at SMOS (Simple Mining.net)

I've got three rigs.

(6) 1080 Zotac Mini GPU's                                   (255 Sol/s) (Core 175) (Memory 1200) (Power Limit 105)
(6) 1080 Mix of Different GPU's                             (220 Sol/s) (Core 100) (Memory 100) (Power Limit 75)
(6) 1070 Ti ASUS GPU's                                       (248 Sol/s) (Core 125) (Memory 500) (Power Limit 100)

What to mine is saying to mine BTG (Zhash) as it's the most profitable at the moment.

I've got the rig up and running ewbf-v0.5-cuda9.1

I've listed the Sol/s I'm currently getting as well as the overclock settings.

Do any of you have any advice or adjustments you would make to get more Sol/s, or is what I'm getting pretty much close to what's expected?

Thanks

Kripto berita dan diskusi (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Resesi Global
« on: October 01, 2018, 02:55:31 PM »

Ingin mendengar beberapa pemikiran / pendapat.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: why is it so hard to buy bitcoin
« on: October 01, 2018, 02:39:31 PM »
I have not really bought any bitcoin in a while, i have been mostly trading this last year.  but i have been trying to buy today from localbitcoins and bittylicious and it has been a real challenge.  they want photos of me holding cards on localbitcoins and on bitty they need about 4 different forms of id, what is going on.

this is seriously restrictive to anyone wanting to get into bitcoin,  like its meant to be pseudonymous but if the gate ways into bitcoin dont allow that people will be put off.
Most of it comes down to covering their tracks in the event the government ever gets involved. There are some gov't regulations that they still have to deal with, and in the event the government actually shows up, chances are they want to have those records on hand. I know I would, and a majority of business owners want to be on the good side of the government.

Hi, friend,

What do you think of Zcash and its zero-knowledge proof construction? I have read that there are already several large investors who support this project.

What is your opinion?

Kripto berita dan diskusi (Bahasa Indonesia) / token atau koin
« on: October 01, 2018, 12:35:34 PM »
Apakah Anda lebih suka berinvestasi dalam token atau koin? Apa bedanya bagi Anda? Dan mengapa Anda memilih yang satu ke yang lain?

Misalnya, platform acara KickCity meluncurkan penjualan token minggu depan.

Jad apa idemu?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: How to start investing?
« on: October 01, 2018, 12:30:44 PM »
the first thing you need to do is to learn how the market and also trading work. this is not something you can just one day start and expect positive results in the end. this is something you need to spend a lot of time and effort for learning. of course that is if you want to ensure your profit and success. otherwise if you want to gamble with your money then by all means jump in.

the second thing to learn is security. this includes learning which exchange to use, what wallet to use and how to secure each of these to have the safest method of keeping your money from hackers and scammers.

there are already a lot of topics and sources for both these steps. if you have some issue with something specific then feel free to ask. but ask a clear question and be specific not vague.
