Sorting Box / Bitcoin/ Altcoin season index
« on: December 30, 2023, 12:59:13 PM »
  • https://www.blockchaincenter.net/en/altcoin-season-index/
  • The website has 3 tabs for Altcoin season; Month; Year.
  • The bottom line is you know if you join when it is already a season, a month, a year for altcoins, maybe you are late and are part of FOMO wave participants in the market. You must smell altcoin movements with the Index and enter early enough.

Altcoin season index

  • Quote
If 75% of top 50 coins performed better than Bitcoin over the last season (90 days), it's Altcoin season.
The index is 65%  now. We don't have an Altcoin season.

Altcoin month index
  • Their method
  • Quote
If 75% of top 50 coins performed better than Bitcoin over the last season (30 days), it's Altcoin month.
The index is 78%  now. We have an Altcoin month!

Altcoin year index
  • Their method
  • Quote
If 75% of top 50 coins performed better than Bitcoin over the last year, it's Altcoin year.
The index is 37%  now. We don't have an Altcoin year.

You can use alternatives like Trading View.

I think it will be more convenient if you add a hyperlink to the company name. +1
Initially, I thought it's a good idea but after thinking about this for a while, I see it like this

What if I put a wrong hyper link?

People should not trust me and with a given link to announcement thread, they can easily get official from the project team. I decided to keep the table like it is now but anyway, thank you for your idea.

LTC for Tumbler is a temporary solution, once we have the mempool back to normal, we will move back to BTC. I think it's better if you add both.
The table will be updated, not only weekly but whenever I saw changes in campaigns so I am going to edit the payment method when you change it in your campaigns.

Good job in this thread buddy.
Thank you.

good evening guys, I noticed that on firefox the unijoin signature code is not displayed correctly, could anyone tell me how to fix the problem?
First, it is off topic.

Second, it is better if you post this issue and ask for help in the Announcement thread of UniJoin campaign. The manager and/ or the signature designer will have higher chance to see it, and can fix the issue.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Will large Bitcoin investors end up becoming a threat?
« on: December 29, 2023, 02:04:08 AM »
Recently, the news of MicroStrategy buying an additional 14,620 Bitcoins broke on the internet.
Broke the Internet, really?

When you wrote this, you are helping to exaggerate impacts from MicroStrategy purchase.

Quote
We've always known MicroStrategy as a company that loves investing in Bitcoin since August 2020. This sounds more like great news for the Bitcoin community, as it feels like more adoption is taking place, but it is done by a certain group of people.
We can not deny contributions of Michael Saylor and MicroStrategy for this market but Bitcoin adoption comes from many people, developers, investors, traders, builders and more. MicroStrategy and institutional investors are one of contributors for Bitcoin adoption.

Quote
I sense that the Bitcoin market and other digital currencies might be affected negatively when these companies decide to sell a very large portion of their accumulated assets.
Before talking about their selling impacts on the market, you must think of their buying impacts which should be big and Bitcoin price will be benefited from it as well as trading volume will increase a lot with massive new capital from them.

The bottom line is they won't sell immediately after buying or several weeks later. It would be months or some years and with this long period, I really expect positive impacts are great enough to blur and cover all negative impacts when they sell.

Like if MicroStrategy sell their bitcoins in 2024 or 2025, will Bitcoin drop back to $13,000?

I believe it will not, history proves that, Bitcoin makes its new highs for Yearly Min Price over years.

https://kycnot.me/

I am impressed that I couldn't find https://exch.cx/ there.

This is the service I have been using now, and I am completely satisfied. I was exchanging some of my BTC there before fees went crazy. When we are in levels below 40 sat/vbyte I will try again
Are you sure?
I assumed it is not there and checked with Wayback Machine. In early 2022, the site did not list exch.cx but in December 2022, it already was on the site. I only check a first and last month of 2022.

Probably we will soon see 4 more campaigns, even more than that.

I also expect that current active campaigns will assess results from early trial weeks, then make decisions to expand their campaigns with more slots or increase their payment rates.

Make sure, you are part of campaign, their business and also the forum. What you post, its quality, will contribute to the growth of this forum, and in a long run like some months, years, it decides the forum will become bigger or not.

Consequently, more campaigns will be launched here, and even with better payment rates.

My 2 cents.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: BTC failing as a payment method
« on: December 28, 2023, 07:08:11 AM »
It is almost the end of December but the Mempool is still increasing. But the Mempool is likely to increase in January as well. The probability of mempool decreasing is very low but increasing is the most likely. As I don't earn any money from here I am completely abstained from transaction at present.
Ordinals won't stay forever, it is my belief. They just were born, hyped greedy people but eventually they will end with deaths.

Basically you must think of their use cases and utilities which are not good at all. Those factors create value and because Ordinals lack of such factors, they have no value that in turn decide price.

Temporarily, when people are greedy, they ignore it and buy up the price but value is different, still useless. Time flies fast and soon price will be pulled back to reflect real value.

Then Ordinals gone, Bitcoin mempools will be back to normal but surely it will take painful waiting time.

Warning
  • A tool is a tool, how you use it is important.
  • Don't join FOMO.

Cryptobubbles.net introduces themselves as
Quote
Independent visualization tool and data aggregator for the cryptocurrency market. Available for free and without ads as website or app.

You can choose to see different bubbles map with Day, Month, Year plus with other indicators like Marketcap, 24h Volume for bubble size or some different options for Bubble content.

To filter bubbles, Marketcap and 24h volume are important and you must use those indicators after quickly look at their default bubbles map.

You can customize the map to Top 100, 200 ... till top 1000 and can create your Watch list as well.

Below are some screenshots with different settings.

Below are some places on the website for customize settings

They also have a summary table and you can sort each column descending or ascending.

Note:
  • It was posted first in that topic, on Bitcointalk
  • I leave the source link to avoid plagiarism accusation.
  • I excluded minor things from an original thread if necessary.

Sorting Box / Re: Bubble map for token holder distribution & connection
« on: December 28, 2023, 03:18:36 AM »
They are looking for potential projects, like small tokens?
That site lists big projects first if I am right. Small projects are not their priority and they are scaling their website.

Quote
I didn't get how this tool is useful for that. The app is basically some wallet explorer, show addresses/wallets as bubbles?
You are right about that. They are basically like wallet explorers that have information, chart for token holders too.

Bubbles and token distributions in those big bubbles can be signals of risk and this visual tool has an option to see Dead addresses as well as connections among addresses that is helpful.

Like if you see at a tip of rich list address list, you don't see big potential issue because not much centralization of big address in the list. However if many address in top address list has connections with each other, it can be (just can be) signal that they belong to same whales.

Of course, it is only a supportive tool and due diligent research needs more than this.

Do you think it is right to create a branch for advertising projects? As it is not quite right, how who will know that it is not paid advertising? I think that not how and thus our forum members will be misled and may lose money, I believe that it is necessary to write reviews and lead discussions and not just advertise all the projects.
How did you see it as an advertisement for those projects?
  • I learned and saw that website is interesting, with some helpful information, at least for me, so I shared it.
  • If you don't see it helpful, ignore it, not a big deal.

Why do I see it helpful?
  • Like Money Printer page: you can see some projects that have high money printing rates. It plays as red flags and you have to be more careful before investing.
  • Other pages are the same, there are information that is helpful for some people. Clearly, different people, different need and I am not here to convince you what is helpful for you.

I am interested in one question: how safe are the exchanges on these platforms? I ask not because I distrust you, but because anything new to me is unfamiliar and untested personally. Have you personally conducted exchanges on one of them? I am against verification, which is why I became interested in this topic.
I only shared websites to find non KYC exchanges for people who need it.

Don't trust me on it. Don't trust those websites.
Verify information from me, from them, make your decision to use or not.
With those exchanges, and with any exchange you try a first time, try small.

Community can point a request to fix issues, report scam issues if they find it to kycnot.me team.

Unfortunately, we cant actually find bitcoin on any decentralized exchange except for the wrapped versions which actually, are not real bitcoin.
Wrapped Bitcoin tokens are tokens. They are altcoins and not Bitcoin. Don't try to save on chain transaction fees and miss Bitcoin, fall into scam tokens.

I assume you know that no one can give you any guarantees that an exchange service is 100% safe, not even Binance. Even if OP or I have a great experience with one of the exchangers, that doesn't mean that you won't have a problem with them or that they won't go bankrupt after a month, or be hacked.
It is very true.

Exchangers can bite the dust anytime and history shows this truth.

KYC is pain and if you do KYC on a centralized exchange, you lose your identity document, forever.

If you are seriously with your privacy, anonymity, you will have need to look for non-KYC exchanges. Then you will have to compare their trading fees.

There are three websites for you to do so.
