I think little by little, crypto is experiencing some modicum of maturity as traditional investors are beginning to embrace the crypto as part of investment. I just hope that governments will not start targeting the sector again to cause unnecessary panic. So far so good, crypto has been doing well.

I bought BTC, ETH and a few other ICOs during the 2017 crypto boom, though sold some along the way, except for BTC and ETH that are well established and doing well, tokens such as BDG, KWATT (shilled by McAfee), WABI, Sparkster (Shilled Ballina) didn't do well. Lost money on some of these.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Altcoins Are Now Starting to Move
« on: February 07, 2021, 11:37:20 PM »
Cryptocurrencies have really done so well since the start of the bull season last year. DeFi tokens have really performed well as BTC and ETH also continue the rally up. However, my concern is the forthcoming Chinese holiday which always comes with some major corrections anor pull backs for crypto during the season. Will it signal another short term bear or the bulls would continue to hold sway during this critical time?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: The power of patience in cryptocurrency?
« on: February 07, 2021, 11:25:23 PM »
Patience is key crypto, especially for investors. However, patience only pays when the investment is in a solid project that's not just joining the bandwagon cos of the hype of feeling of free money in the space. Some projects may cease to exist after a few years. So DYOR.

It's not strange to see the market price of any crypto pumped when validated by a popular figure, not to mention that Elon Musk is one of the richest men in the world. Don't forget that crypto yearns for mainstream adoption, so when someone of Musk's ilk talks about crypto then it's gonna spread like wildfire. It appears that cryptocurrency still needs validation to achieve global scale.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Paper Money vs. Digital Currency
« on: February 07, 2021, 11:07:36 PM »
Paper money is old and traditional so people have come to trust it over the years. Digital money/cryptocurrency is more popular among the Millenials because they are born in the age of digital revolution so it's easier for the younger generation to embrace it.

Mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies will take a lot of effort via massive awareness/education, simplification of UX/UI of dApps, and some form of regulation of the space.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Sell when the goal is achieved.
« on: February 06, 2021, 11:29:48 PM »
Greediness is a factor that keeps some traders unable to gain even in a bullish market because they only have entry strategy but no exit plan. Once my target is achieved, whatever happens in the market is no longer my concern. I take my profit and move. Unless the investment is for long term but even at that, there's always the price that is so irresistible for one to sell.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Holding Cryptos for Ten Long Years
« on: February 06, 2021, 11:26:31 PM »
It's a good idea to want to hold crypto for a long term, especially if it's a solid project like BTC, ETH, DOT, NEAR etc, but a lot can happen between now and a decade's time. There's always government attempts to scatter the industry. I will advise that you keep watching the market in case crypto is eventually gagged one way or the other.

The continuous growth in the total market capitalization of crypto tells the story that cryptocurrency is gaining more attention, their is influx of money even from traditional institutions. With the continuous rise of DeFi, we can hope to see more growth in the sector.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: What is the Best Coin as your Opinion
« on: February 05, 2021, 07:50:16 PM »
If you are entirely new to crypto and you plan to hold your crypto for a long time, I will advise that you go for the coins listed in the top twn on Coinmarketcap.com or Coingecko. Until you learn the ropes to invest in new crypto startups, keep your funds safe in established tokens.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Why the increase of fake crypto project?
« on: February 05, 2021, 07:48:14 PM »
This is bull season and due to the unregulated nature of cryptocurrency, it is easy for anyone to open a fake project on Twitter or Telegram, some even without a website. That is why it is the responsibility of the potential investor to carry out due diligence and scrutinize the project before committing their funds to strangers. There are obvious red flags that show many of these suspicious projects as scams.

XRP - Ripple Forum / Re: Do you think XRP should be avoided at this time?
« on: February 05, 2021, 07:45:22 PM »
Ripple has not even touched its ATH, which was about $3.4 USD. However, there is a great uncertainty about the future of the project due to the complaints from SEC. Anyone that is able to take risk can keep holding and owning the token as investment in crypto is generally risky.

General Discussion / Re: What is the future of Bounty Hunter?
« on: December 07, 2020, 05:37:30 PM »
The future of bounty hunter who is limited to hunting bounty is uncertain. Some projects prefer directly hiring ambassadors to employing the services of hunters. Moreover, a significant percentage of blockchain-based projects are scams, and those that are not scams, find it difficult to pay hunters based on agreed rates and dates.
