NEM Forum / Re: what is NEM?
« on: June 30, 2018, 04:14:01 PM »
NEM is a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency and blockchain platform launched on March 31, 2015.[1] Written in Java,[2] with a C++ version in the works, NEM has a stated goal of a wide distribution model and has introduced new features to blockchain technology such as its proof-of-importance (POI) algorithm, multisignature accounts, encrypted messaging, and an Eigentrust++ reputation system. The NEM blockchain software is used in a commercial blockchain called Mijin,[3] which is being tested by financial institutions and private companies in Japan and internationally.
I think NEM is most similar to Ethereum in what it's attempting to accomplish. Through the implementation of mosaics and Namespaces, NEM is able to create tokens like Colored Coins in the Ethereum blockchain.

NEM Forum / Re: what is Net M ?

I would like to know if NetM is the same as Nem
NEM is one of the few coins with a real "unique selling proposition" that is not adopted by no other major cryptocurrency (along with other coins like Primecoin, Decred, Bitshares and Burst). That's the Proof of Importance algorithm.

Stellar Forum / Re: Why does stellar and ripples have similarities?
« on: June 30, 2018, 04:09:57 PM »
It is both of them used the same protocol and stellar is also a open source technology and the goals of  stellar is to connect finanial institutio  and reduce the cost and time crossed for transfers.
Stellar and Ripple are similar and has same founder, however stellar is dedicated for a very good cause, to fighting poverty, and stellar is focused for micro payment,
which Ripple is focused and being controlled by banks

Stellar Forum / Re: What is the disadvantage if engaging in stellar?
« on: June 30, 2018, 04:07:36 PM »
It's because stellar is having such a big competitors such as bitcoin, eth, and etc. Even though stellar are doing great most of the people will only notice the popular one. But I guess stellar will bloom sooner or later. We just have to wait to make it happen.
I think The disadvantage of stellar  is that Stellar decided to decentralize it’s validated nodes (doesn’t control them like Ripple) but consolidated (read: centralized) voting rights to prevent forks.

« on: June 30, 2018, 04:02:20 PM »
There are alot of android wallets available, which one is the best so far?
I think Lobstr  is a secure wallet and easy to use. It is available as a web app or on a mobile device, on Android or iOS.

Stellar is a decentralized blockchain-operating value founded by Jed McCaleb. McCaleb was also a co-founder of Ripple, so these two currencies share more than just a couple of similarities.

Stellar is a payment technology that aims at creating an easy way of making transactions between multiple users set on a decentralized ecosystem. With this idea, XLM is even using the same protocols as Ripple. However, the similarities between the two make different ways after 2014 when Stellar launched SCP, which is a protocol that changed the way Stellar works.

Now, Stellar is an open source system, Ripple is dealing with a closed source, which is at the same time the main difference between the two. Moving forward from the story about the differences between Ripple and Stellar which were both developed with the help of McCaleb, Stellar is focused on the idea of enabling fast and cheap global payments for the developing countries as well as for people who don’t own a bank account.

Unlike many other altcoins, XLM is not taking advantage of miners for their need of approving transactions. So, instead of having miners within the network to approve transactions, XLM is using the FBA protocol.

With FBA algorithm, Stellar has enabled fast transactions and prompt transaction approvals. This is the case because this algorithm uses only fragments of the network at the time.

Stellar also uses smart contracts for more thorough legal binding, just like Ethereum, which additionally raises its technological and practical value.

Since Stellar has the required technology to support these demands, it is no surprise that this currency had an amazing rise in its price at the beginning of January 2018. At that time Stellar was dealing at over 1$ per one unit, which was at the same time a value multiplied 15 times in oppose to XLM’s previous price.
Stellar is public infrastructure for money.
Supported by a nonprofit, Stellar brings the world together by increasing interoperability between diverse financial systems and currencies.

Stellar Forum / Re: What makes you invest in stellar?
« on: June 30, 2018, 03:57:09 PM »
I'm investing in stellar because I'm sure someday stellar prices will soar,
What makes you invest in stellar?
Stellar is a pretty good project. An alternative to Ethereum network. And IBM which is keen to compete with Ethereum network using its own Hyperledger network is supportive of the project stellar as they chose stellar network for cross border payments

If you're patient enough to wait until such time you will witness how stellar will be known. Since its value is getting high.
Of course yes, steller is getting recognized as major transaction coin and has very bright future. Big network is going to be built on stellar instead of Ethereum.

Stellar is an open-source protocol for exchanging money using blockchain technology.[13] The platform's source code is hosted on Github.[41] The Stellar network can quickly exchange government-based currencies with 2 to 5 second processing times. The platform is a distributed ledger maintained by a consensus algorithm, which allows for decentralized control, flexible trust, low latency, and asymptotic security.
Stellar is an open system for sending and receiving money in any pair of currencies (such as USD, GBP or NOK).and also Stellar is a technology that enables money to move directly between people, companies and financial institutions as easily as email.

Why Stellar has great potential

Note: This is just my opinion so don’t take it as investment advice.

As we all know, Stellar has increased quite a lot lately. I’m going to put a lot of links in this post to back up each point by the way, hopefully it’s not annoying! So let’s take a look to see where we currently stand:
IBM

Stripe got on board with Stellar in the early days which was impressive enough, but the partnerships are still rolling in now. Over the last few months we learned that IBM are getting involved which is a very good vote of confidence for the Stellar team. It’s not every day that a Fortune 500 company gets involved with cryptocurrency.
It’s cheap

This might sound ridiculous, but psychologically people feel strange purchasing 0.001 of something for example. At the moment Stellar is the cheapest coin in the top 20 on Coin Market Cap. With more and more people wanting to get involved with cryptocurrency (including those who want to only put in a small amount) Stellar seems cheap. Sure, there are other “cheap” coins but when you look at the likes of Ripple vs Stellar it’s clear that there’s a lot more value in Stellar.
Yes, Stellar Lumens is similar to Ripple but better. It is not controlled by a bunch of banks like ripple and the motto is to bank the unbanked. It is used for micro payments and the transaction fee is very low and lightening quick.

Stellar Forum / Re: Advantage of stellar?

The advantage of engaging in stellar is that it becomes popular nowadays. Its value are also increasing.
I think Stellar is much friendlier towards third party developers. It hosts programs such as the Stellar Build Challenge to reward builders who create useful technologies on the Stellar network.

Is eos the new ethereum
I think,EOS wants to improve a few things compared to Ethereum. Their ideology is that anyone should be able to build anything when it comes to smart contracts.

Waves Forum / Re: Waves potential in crypto
« on: June 29, 2018, 06:18:55 PM »
How do you see waves potential in crypto and  do you see waves in the future that over takes ethereum?
I think Waves has become popular as it allows the creation of new cryptocurrencies on its platform. This can be used to create many self-sustaining ecosystems, as well as reward systems.

Of course yes,WAVES can be purchased from major cryptocurrency exchanges Bittrex, Binance, by using both fiat currency and using cryptocurrencies like BTC and Ethereum.

Waves Forum / Re: Waves future ?
« on: June 29, 2018, 06:15:41 PM »
Now that Russia wants to regulate ICOs, hat is waves future? Considering that waves advantage was ease of issuing tokens.
Waves has a good future it provides a safe method for trading, currency exchange, and other transactions by the usage of Smart-Contracts.
