Bitcoin Forum / What’s going on?
« on: August 27, 2018, 04:25:46 PM »
I’m pretty new to this and I’ve been trading on Gatecoin as I’m in Hong King. In the past the order books had a fairly defined Bid and Ask paywall at around 10 coins with a fairly consistent spread and Trading amounts were generally between 0.1 to 3 or 4 coins. Recently trade is dominated by hundreds of 0.01 or similar trades which are regular but add up to high volatility but low volume. What’s driving this?

If you have children, then you will have a loss of it. If you have children, then the bitcoin will help you. That's why all the crypto currency will be down.
Please, please please do so many times please please keep it close when the market is UP then sell it to you.

Bitcoin Forum / Is the 21 milion of bitcoin a real limit?
« on: August 27, 2018, 12:20:32 PM »
Good morning
Reading about bitcoin, I've found that there is a maximum of BTC that can be mined: 21 milions
It is said that this limit is due to the source code.

As probably you know more than I do about BTC:
- is it a real limit
- is it a good thing? I think it is but it looks like BTC will become more a commodity and not just a payment system

What do you think?

Bitcoin Forum / Transfer to BTC - BCC
« on: August 27, 2018, 12:18:10 PM »
Dears
I would like to take a doubt with you: I made a transition from the Bitcoin.com wallet to Bittrex, but I inadvertently transferred BTC to an address that only accepts BCC (bitcoin cash) and so far the value has been locked. Is there a way to undo this?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Exchanges take advantage of the tx fee...
« on: August 27, 2018, 09:41:48 AM »
I have been doing withdrawals across multiple exchanges and I realize they still set up a large default fee of 0.001 BTC (Gate.io do 0.002 BTC!!!). That's fine. However, the problem is they don't actually include that high fee to for user's convenience. They only pay the minimum fee, around 5-10 sats/bytes. OMG!!!
This is not a big deal these days because the fee is low and the network is easy. I'm just upset because exchanges just take advantages of user's fund while not providing the convenience as it's supposed to be...

Cryptocurrency discussions / A bigger dip to come?

Do you guys think there will come a bigger dip than 2-3 days ago (in a short term)?

I’m interested in your views.

As currency: - Only when a substantial proportion of the population have their wages and salaries paid in bitcoin. - Only when it is possible and convenient to live one’s life with payment for everything using bitcoin alone. - Only when funds can be recovered after theft from a wallet or a lost private key.

As asset/investment: - Only when there is widespread trust and faith by most of the population in bitcoin as a competitive store of value.

The political project: - Only when the population votes in (or there is a coup) a libertarian government that will do away with fiat and banks. - Only when there is widespread acceptance by the public that the early adopters should rule the world. - Only when there is widespread acceptance that cryptos or their proliferation will not cause either rampant deflation or inflation.

I did some google searches looking for places that sell Bitcoin swag like Tshirts, mugs etc. Some stuff came up but I wasn't too impressed. Can everyone post ideas for swag or links to sites that sell Bitcoin swag here?

Just curious if any miners are currently mining directly to a BitPay wallet for loading onto the BitPay Visa card?
