Cryptocurrency discussions / Is encrypted digital money real money?
« on: August 31, 2018, 11:56:42 AM »
Ever since the advent of cryptographic digital money, the question has been: "is it real money? The issue can spark debate over the internal workings of the digital currency, the consensus mechanism and the use of technology.

Many arguments support or denigrate the effectiveness of the digital currency as a true modern currency. The two sides of the matter will help each of us to come up with our own answers.

"Do I believe that encrypting digital money is real money?"

From people and institutional investors to bank clerks and fund managers, each role has its own views and perspectives.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Down down we go.
« on: August 31, 2018, 11:48:43 AM »
All the fud and whales taking profit, slowing down progress in crypto.no wonder new money is not coming into market .perfect opportunity to short the market. I don't need new money to come in to profit, I'll just take a chunk of what's already there . In my opinion this is very healthy. Lots of weak hands exited crypto lately. Serious investors and hodlers remain.

Just recently, I observed there are many cryptocurrency mining offered from cpu to android. And they have there own wallet. I was able to manage to join one of them the twist and eyeing the crepcoin but. scrolling the thread, there are pools which are suspicious to join. What do you think of them? Please advise if you know how they work. Are they safe to join?

In your opinion, when deciding to buy or sell some coins, is total market cap more important than a specific coin's cap or price? I'm asking because almost always all altcoins and BTC move in the same way as total market

Hi! How do you think, which places are the best to advertise your cryptocurrency at?

Youtube, Twitter and Facebook seems not to be doing any big changes. We have ordered Youtube Adwords for our video which got us around 40K views; Twitter has Over 5K followers, Facebook has almost 1K followers, but nothing of these types of advertising seem to be doing any good. How do you guys think, what is the best place to advertise cryptocurrency?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Cryptocurriencies' worth ?
« on: August 31, 2018, 06:18:39 AM »
Is there any purpose for cryptocurrency to grow and survive other than just mundane trading? It has been nine years since the first cryptocurrency 'bitcoin' was launched. Nothing has been reported about its use for which it has been established, other than its price rising and lowering randomly. When these cryptocurrencies will start to do for what they have been established?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Altcoin Season?
« on: August 31, 2018, 05:48:07 AM »
What Month You Expecting Alts season to Start ?

I'm curious to know what other think about it ✌

I Personally think it's all depends on Bitcoin

If only if we don't go down anymore(below 6k)then alts can start moving nicely
📈

Keep in mind so many new whales and new investors getting chance to buy cheap crypto

I'm still on the side far from Alts but I'll look for some only when I'm sure about BTC stability 😊

We cannot under estimate the cognitive aspect of cryptocurrency. There are different ways by which you can make your earnings through cryptocurrency. Lookout for the one of interest, learn it and do it well, like know not others. Some of the different aspects are as outlined:
1. Trading
2. ICO investment
3. Bounty
4. Airdrop
5. Mining
Although, there are other ways, but these five areas of specializations are very common.
You may try other aspects, but pick one and do it well like a professional.

Do not mind my grammatical errors please, i am only trying to help the newbies...

Cryptocurrency discussions / [TIPS] Let's secure your Digital Assets !!
« on: August 31, 2018, 05:33:49 AM »
Look and learn from MEW incident yesterday, that MEW got hit DNS attack. Even previously also been rumored if Etherdelta, Mycripto and also Binance have been hit by this attack. The news here : http://blog.triv.co.id/myetherwallet-alami-serangan-dns/

From that incident, let's secure our digital assets with the following solutions:
1. Do not use google DNS, most attacks, attacking google DNS is considered less secure. Use only your ISP's default DNS, although it can not be said to be safe, but at least the ISP's DNS is rarely used by people.
2. Use a secure browser, for example Crhome that can check the validity of site security (green padlock marked left web address)
3. Use DNS Firewall, free versions are numerous but paid versions are better.
4. Avoid public Wifi, because many hackers there.
5. Use of virtual keyboard can save us from data theft (key logger)
6. Using the wallet offline.
7. Using Wallet Hardware, like TREZOR and others.
8. Avoid storing assets in Exchange, because exchange is one of the biggest hacker targets.
9. Save the assets separately, for example 1 BTC split into multiple wallets to store them.

Some of the above tips require a fee, so do not be afraid to pay the cost to protect our assets. What is free in life?  Grin Cheesy

Note : These tips from various sources on the internet and some forums here.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Basic Things To Look Out For In An ICO
« on: August 31, 2018, 05:23:52 AM »
Each day, many startups launch their ICOs, but very few of them are legit, therefore creating trust issues among the masses.
As an investors you need to look out for some basic things in an ICO projects before you risk your hard earn money:

1.Check the ICO Website & Whitepaper
The ICO website and the whitepaper of the project, give away all the information about the startup, so never be too lazy to check it. Good startups, try to be as transparent as possible on their ICO website.
2.People behind the project: These people consist of the team members and advisors. Legit projects have a legitimate team of passionate individuals. Don’t be fooled by these good-looking individuals, as the images shown on ICO website may not be the actual team. To make sure they are legit, check their LinkedIn profiles and try to engage them in discussion regarding the project and its ICO.

3. Social Media Engagements
The way any startup presents itself on social media platforms can make or break their overall image. The type of posts they do or the way they handle negative criticism says a lot about how professional their team is. Scam startups will try to cover every negative comment.

So be wise and invest diligently.

Hello everyone, this question of how cryptocurrency are being ranked has been disturbing my mind and I need clarifications and a good explanation on how they are being ranked.

For instance, On CoinMarketcap there are some other cryptocurrency that has higher prices than Ethereum and yet they are ranked below. So this made me jump into conclusion that it is ranked based on project and market performance.

Shed more light on this if am wrong. Thanks
