All this ICO listing sites do not check if any project is real or not. Because they are only after the listing fees.

Thanks for your suggestions and interesting information, I will visit and read the links you provide.

The best thing for you to do is to do your own research. Look for clean and clear roadmap, transparency of the team [If their profiles are linked to the ICO sites. This means they are not scared of been contacted and are real] and the solution the project aims at solving. Not just promises.

I will like you to see this project that solves the issue of unemployments and other things. Read their whitepaper as well at www.pensionrewards.com

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Be optimistic when the market is chaotic
« on: September 19, 2018, 10:13:47 AM »
If you believe in crypto and you have experienced some changes in crypto market at least 5 years, then you have no reason to be pessimistic to see the current market condition. The decline cycle is not the end of cryptocurrency. It is normal and can happen any time. I think all of us know about crypto is very volatile and unstable and also unpredictable. You must understand those crypto characteristic deeply. So, you will be not shocked or afraid if you experience the bad period in crypto like now.

I think you are right, I am still a beginner in crypto and I am still learning how to trade crypto, I need experience and must be patient to accept losses and continue to learn to hold back, I want to learn good trading methods.

I will also learn from my mistakes and I will try hard and not rush in selling my altcoin, I think there will be a second chance for me.

I really like the opinion of my friends in this forum about bounty hunters who are blamed for the loss of an ICO, without ICO bounty hunters who will spend a lot of money to promote, I think only bounty hunters want to work without knowing how much they will get paid, sometimes a lot of bounty hunter hunters are not paid and developers use bounty hunters to deceive investors.

RIPPLE’S CEO Brad Garlinghouse has claimed over time people will gain a better understanding of the cryptocurrency he promotes because they are not “anti-government” Ripple has been developing a network for faster global financial payments and has been keen to work with the help of banks.

Speaking to CNBC, the Ripple CEO claimed soon people would gather a better understanding of the uses of cryptocurrencies, allowing Ripple to break away from the trends of other coins, like Bitcoin.

Tokens/Coins Offerings (ICO, IEO, etc.) / Major drawbacks in ICO,overcome
« on: September 19, 2018, 03:29:48 AM »
ICOs are raking in an ungodly amount of money that makes entrepreneurs, advisors, and celebrity endorsers lots of money. The issue is that for every great opportunity, there are a dozen fake scams trying to take your money, and both good and bad are advertised on popular websites that list upcoming ICOs. Every invester should ask what the purpose is and how it works. You can quickly and easily filter projects based on what their goal is and whether you believe or not that there’s a market for what it proposes. Please add more suggestions to overcome these drawbacks..

Cryptocurrency discussions / What is KYC?Why do you need KYC in buying ICO?
« on: September 18, 2018, 02:50:15 PM »
1.WHAT IS KYC?
"KNOW YOUR COSTUMER" means the process of the identification of the client.Token holder will be required to provide with his/her personal data, after token/coin purchased will be sent to the wallet that the user put in his account.

    2. WHY DO YOU NEED KYC?
Although the phrase "know your customer"may seem insignificant to a lot of people ,it has a very important meaning in the business world. If particular companies want to interact with other partners in the industry, however, they really have no choice. KYC allows companies to protect themselves by ensuring that they are doing business legally and with legitimate entities, and it also protects the individuals who might otherwise be harmed by financial crime.

KYC is a defensive mechanism for both the company and the clients. By sharing this data, all the token holders confirm that they are the true owners of their personal accounts and the wallet,to which the company send tokens. It will grant that you are the person that receive your tokens.

     SUMMARY
KYC  IS NOT A THING TO BE FEARED OF,COMPANIES NEED THAT FOR THE SECURE DEVELOPMENT OF THEIR BUSINESS AND FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR INVESTMENTS AS
    WELL.

HOPE IT HELPS..LET ME KNOW YOUR COMMENTS AND IDEA GUYS ABOUT DOING KYC IN ANY ICO.

There is a huge number of ICOs coming this year and we need some sort of filter to chose most reliable and ligit ones. I personally use ICOBench.com to filter good ones based on overal ICO rating and segregated ratings per Team, ICO profile, etc. I wonder if it is a good one, or there are more reliable ones out there?

ICO scams have become increasingly common, it takes considerable work to sieve through the huge numbers and get to the good ones. Here are some indicators that could be a template in making your own choice, The list is not exhaustive , please feel free to add yours and help us build a better forum.

1. Project Concept or Idea- what stands out with the project? is it another 'payment' coin with no additional innovation or something mind-blowing

2. Team -A great project will not succeed without a great team, proven expertise and integrity, you may need to use "reverse google image" to ascertain if they are real

3. Board of Advisers - Great projects usually do not fall from the skies, there is usually some build-up to it,and involves respectable personalities giving some guidance to the project

4. White Paper - If the white paper is bad or plagiarized, there is really nothing to work on.

5. Feasible plan- Is it a plan that can be implemented, not just on paper

6. Website- should not be crappy ,great projects have nice and easy-to-use website loaded with information about projects, no malicious links

7. Marketing and Promotions - Project must have a good reach and publicity, usually reflected in social media activities

8. Legal Compliance - There should be enough legal back for he project, no restrictions or government regulations against it

9. Code Security - Ideally should be public and safe ,without bugs

10. Token Issuance and distribution -  Fair distribution to teams members, advisers, community, reserve etc.

A good project will score high in all these fronts.

Cryptocurrency discussions / $ 250 for investment, choose ICO or altcoin?
« on: September 17, 2018, 07:25:52 AM »
I think it is too risky to invest in ICOs because there are many ICOs that are scam and investors' money is mostly stuck in the ICO.

Cryptocurrency discussions / I Regret sell my coin
« on: September 17, 2018, 04:28:03 AM »
The first time I played altcoin, I bought a coin for only $ 0.1 and I sold it for $ 0.2 but it makes me regret why I am not HODL coin (only 4 months) The coin now costs $ 1.8 and it makes me experience, now I never sell my coin even though the price goes down.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Be optimistic when the market is chaotic
« on: September 17, 2018, 03:25:46 AM »
Now that the whole market condition is highly disgusting and discouraging, what attitude do you think both investors and bounty hunters should have? In my own view, I think there is a need for optimistic attitude. Many are pessimistic as to whether crypto market will I ever recover. Many crypto lovers keep asking themselves will crypto market ever recover? . The way I look at it is that we need to be highly optimistic for a recovery for better profit making. I don't know if you agree with me.
Please let me know your opinion.
