Ethereum Forum / Re: Ethereum a threat to bitcoin
« on: November 25, 2018, 02:27:57 PM »
I have previously made the point that, in the last four years, humankind has invented seven times more “currencies” than the governmental currencies that already existed. The two most famous of these, to those of us not immersed in the market, are Ether – the token associated with Ethereum – and Bitcoin.

Dash Forum / Re: Can Dash overcome ETH?
« on: November 24, 2018, 10:26:42 PM »
Bitcoin entered the scene in 2009 and developed a sizable network effect in a realm of little competition. However, as the Bitcoin network grew and development standardized, improvements became difficult to implement. Such changes require an overwhelming consensus from all network participants, thus creating numerous contentious debates, as has been witnessed recently in the Bitcoin scaling debate.

Dash Forum / Re: Dash currently drop the line, would you continue to HODL?
« on: November 24, 2018, 10:21:44 PM »
I  think given that masternode rewards are about 0.18% per week or about $0.15 then the price of the underlying is what matters as see by it going from $100 to about $70 since my investor friend has started peeling off masternodes. So, the weekly cash-flow is pretty much irrelevant to the hodl/sell decision.

I think specifically, the addition of one or more designated “administrators” defeats the purpose of the invention and leads to unclear benefits compared to a traditonal relational database.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Do you think that other coins move faster?
« on: November 23, 2018, 07:48:17 PM »
I think one important turning point for the crypto space was the announcement that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) would delay any announcement of a decision regarding the approval of a cryptocurrency exchange-traded fund (ETF) until the end of September.

I think “Bitcoin’s no longer boring” declares Bloomberg, before stating that analysts predict the price could fall as low as the $1,500 point, a further 70 percent drop in the coin’s price.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Crypto-currency sponsorship's in professional sports
« on: November 20, 2018, 06:04:13 PM »
I think as great at 2018 has been for the blending of Cryptocurrencies and sports, 2014 was an even bigger year. Much like 2018, 2014 was a bear year that immediately proceeded what was at the time Bitcoin’s biggest bull market in its history.

Bitcoin Gold / Re: Development of bitcoin gold
« on: November 19, 2018, 09:06:42 PM »
I think bitcoin Gold was founded by Jack Liao, CEO of LightingAsic and BitExchange and 5 more people. The team is backed by a robust team of veteran software developers who regularly post updates. It is a community-led project that offers its users a fair opportunity to mine with ubiquitous GPUs.

Bitcoin Gold / Re: Bitcoin Gold will be another Bitcoin Cash?
« on: November 19, 2018, 09:05:06 PM »
I think I have also stalked BTG’s social media and the majority of their content on their pages was in relation to Bitcoin’s price rising ahead of the fork, and secondly, the decrease in value of Bitcoin Cash over time.

XRP - Ripple Forum / Re: Ripple remains stable.
« on: November 18, 2018, 03:03:24 PM »
I  think if you step back and take a look at the plus half-yearly chart development of the pair XRP/USD, despite there were ups-downs in the shorter term understanding – in general it was bullish.

XRP - Ripple Forum / Re: Ripple is not bitcoin
« on: November 18, 2018, 03:01:09 PM »
I  think  he noted the latter examples were a store of value whereas Ripple’s token seems more like digital fiat issued by a single company. Castella also faulted the initial premise behind the Ripple technology saying it didn’t measure up to the philosophy of real cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Other Popular Cryptos / Coins / Re: How do you define popular crypto?
« on: November 17, 2018, 09:21:20 PM »
I think many cryptocurrencies are decentralized systems based on blockchain technology, a distributed ledger enforced by a disparate network of computers. A defining feature of a cryptocurrency, and arguably its biggest allure, is its organic nature; it is not issued by any central authority, rendering it theoretically immune to government interference or manipulation.

Dash Forum / Re: What is the future of the DASH?
« on: November 16, 2018, 06:44:26 PM »
I  think the price of this cryptocurrency has jumped over 200 per cent in just one month and it has also reached a record price. The name of the cryptocoins that everyone is chasing now is DASH.

Dash Forum / Re: Dash coin updating
« on: November 16, 2018, 06:42:08 PM »
I think the status of these updates is outlined in the latest developer update, which can be studied on our Medium blog.  The upcoming UI upgrade will introduce a professional-grade trading terminal.
