I'm incredibly interested to know if popular NFT's minted now will become legendary items in 2030 or so. Will cryptopunks sell for 10000 ETH each? If indeed that is the future, if an NFT you buy now for 1 ETH at today's value is worth 100 ETH in 2030 value, who knows how much a single NFT could be worth?

Because if that's the case (and we don't know if that's the case; who knows the future?), then NFT's could right now be one of the greatest investments that nobody is really thinking about.

If you can display NFT's in virtual realities a decade for now and people can see what year they were minted and their value keeps rising (again, I don't know!)... game over man... the people with the old, valuable NFT's are gonna be the new digital oil barons.

I'm starting to think that these NFT's being bought for >10 ETH aren't such a wild purchase after all. Buy for $17500 today, sell for a MILLION in 2025-2030. And the things have intrinsic value to the human spirit, so even if you don't make a MASSIVE profit you still have something that is yours.

Even someone with not a lot of ETH who is just mining casually on a gaming computer with his RTX 3070 or whatever will eventually reach 0.10 ETH. Imagine someone invests in precisely the right NFT, waits ten years, sells for half a million.

Fucking crazy world, man. I don't know what's going to happen. I've seen some people laugh at these NFT collectors on twitter, but who will have the last laugh I wonder. I suppose they laughed at people buying bitcoin in the early days, didn't they.

Crypto Exchanges / Re: Can I Trust CoinTiger Exchange?

Twice bought, twice removed, the conclusion of 10 minutes, with the exchange is all good, the only minus is the bots, as soon as you open an order to buy the bot sets the same order, and first of all buy from bots, because of this order closure can be expected from 1 hour to 4 hours.

Ethereum Forum / Re: High transaction fees: Ethereum's fatal weakness

It's liquidity is fine for most high cap tokens. I've been swapping LRC, ETH, DAI, WBTC, and DPI with minimal slippage. You're right though it has low liquidity and token choices relative to the big dexs like uniswap. But demand drives supply, so we can complain about layer 2's lackings or we can drive demand by utilitizing it. I've chosen the latter.

Binance chain has a very popular brand attached to it so no doubt it is going to be financially succesfull. If there is any technical merit behind the hype remains to be seen but I kinda doubt it. It doesnt support smart contracts so it doesn't really compete with ethereum at all.
but
Binance is a replicated state machine powered by Cosmos SDK.

Smart contracts can be built in as modules that validators merge in to the client or as sidechains using Cosmos IBC.

It is very powerful and the curation by validators means no spam on the chain, with powerful and standardardised smart contracts in a very scalable architecture.

Elon Musk is serious about cryptocurrency.

On Monday, Musk moved from jokey tweets to major investments when Tesla disclosed in an SEC filing that the company invested $1.5 billion in bitcoin in January, and aims “to begin accepting bitcoin as a form of payment for our products in the near future.”

This amounts to 10% of Tesla's cash reserves, and is the largest corporate purchase of bitcoin ever.

Bitcoin (BTC) spiked 14% on the news to a new all-time-high above $44,000, and Tesla (TSLA) shares jumped 2%

The $1.5 billion bitcoin buy puts Tesla in the company of two other consumer-facing tech companies that have loaded up on bitcoin in the past year: Square (which bought $50 million worth in October, amounting to 1% of its cash reserves) and cloud services provider MicroStrategy, which has kept buying more bitcoin in the last few months and now holds 71,079 bitcoin, worth more than $3 billion as of Monday morning.

Planning to accept bitcoin as payment puts Tesla in league with PayPal, which began allowing its customers to buy and sell bitcoin, ether (ETH), litecoin (LTC), and bitcoin cash (BCH) in its PayPal wallet in December, and will add the function to Venmo this year, along with the ability to make purchases with crypto.

On PayPal’s Q4 earnings call last week, CEO Dan Schulman said crypto trading volume has “exceeded expectations” and that the company’s crypto efforts so far are “just the beginning of an extensive roadmap” around crypto.

Polkadot Forum / Re: I want invest on DOT
« on: February 23, 2021, 05:19:46 AM »
Polkadot is a better investment than some newly introduced coins that also create waves in the crypto industry. The ability of para chains to issue their token — something like what you find in Ethereum's protocols — is one reason Polkadot rapidly grew into the ranks of top projects

on my experience . i got the coins on very low price . cause the company distribute those coins after months of listing on an exchange so it dump very quick . so i decided to hodl these coins for better profit.

I do hope we'll have a nice long bull run and a lovely and springy altseason. I don't see it as a replay of last time season, mainly because we don't have that ICO fad and we DO have some institutional moneys coming in

42
I said this a little whiles back. It really wouldn't surprise me at this point, as I'm very surprised after being one of the founders of paypal he has never publicly mentioned being involved in and of the "recent" developments of cryptocurrency. It seems as progressive as he is i would like to think he is fully aware how crypto is going to be the future. Maybe not bitcoin exactly but it most certainly is going to take over traditional means at some point
