You're right If bitcoin down, I think investors and trader will buy more bitcoin.
Bitcoin will be more expensive if the government accept bitcoin.
But I saw several opinions about this, because several government still refuse bitcoin and crypto.
I don't think bitcoin on retreat, bitcoin will grow and recover again.
Government will do more on storing bitcoin than allowing bank exchange, chances are higher for stable coins because it is considered to have lower risk. We are likely to see more hoarding as interested traders and investors in market increases.

Greenpeace is that campaign against the energy consumption of bitcoin. Today another tough topic is rallying in the media. An anti campaign to the group is expected to start soon. Other think the advocacy for Point of work for bitcoin will be better. The greenpeace campiagh is losing ground with lots of supporters as well

I beleive both countries have a storage of the coin for long time purpose but I feel china could have threat due to recent USA interest. USA at a point last year announce the size of bitcoin in there portfolio, ridculous. It is now getting difficult to pick the price of this cycle, we might see a repeat of what happen last year that made new ATH at 69k but close to previous 64k at around march. The time of accumulation and caputulation is very close, which give the idea of a slight difference in the market from now.

It is interesting to know that ethereum blockchain is still the most traded and the decentralised exchange (Uniswap) has high visit. The transaction has not being stable at high price. I expect a new soon on the completion of the blockchain hardfork which give significant efect on the coin price. I dont know if it will break new ATH but it should improve adoption and use
