Crypto Exchanges / Re: Why Bitget continue to soar despite all odds
« on: January 10, 2024, 04:15:14 PM »
For any institution to attain the set goals, there must be a visionary leader willing to make things work irrespective of the challenges. This is my take home point from Gracy Chen recent interview with WuBlockchain.

We all saw how 2023 was really challenging for many centralized exchanges, some at a point reduced staff strength drastically and some those who couldn't withstand the heat of the bear market eventually collapsed and exited the market. Despite all this, Bitget was expanding and spreading tentacles to new region. Indeed when there is a will, there is a way.

There are lots of fundamentals issues discussed but looking into 2024, the exchange has three 3 areas of focus which are:

1. Regulatory compliance: GC maintained the exchange has always been open to regulations and that the exchange already obtain licenses from Poland and Lithuania amongst other countries. This is to help give investors assurance and peace of mind over their assets.

2. GC also hinted that the exchange will be focusing more on emerging markets such as Latin America and Southeast Asia as part of the exchange vision to see global adoption of crypto.

3. With web3 and blockchain technology adoption now on the rise, GC highlighted the readiness of the exchange to develop and invest heavily in web3 by launching projects like DEX and L2

I think 2024 is loaded for crypto enthusiasts and Bitgetters. What do you think?

I think this year would be exciting for crypto enthusiast, will be following exchange closely also looking for opportunities to explore and earn.

While am optimistic of a great year 2024, i can't help but wonder what would be the effect of the rejection of the BTC spot ETF, I would advise investors and traders to take on earn products that guarantee principal to avoid stories that touches the heart.

How does a trip to Dubai sounds like. This and many more are part of what to expect from this contest so let's brace up, come together and test our trading skills in this engaging and interesting contest.

Have you guys participated in any event of this nature from other CEX that I am not aware of, feel free to share your insight perhaps it might be of great help.
A trip to Dubai to do what actually?

Well, I am not trying to be pessimistic but a trip to Dubia will not move me to participate in such event, though I believe that like you said, there wil be other items to be won as a prizes, but from what you've said, it seems like a trip to Dubia is the highest or overall prize to be won.

Anyways, I am coming across this for the first time here, and I indeed have witnesses lots of trading competition in the past, that is the global type, not ones that as specially for Nigerians, I've never participated in any of this, and this is because I hardly have time for such, and it's usually meant for the money bags, I am not up to that level yet.
So, many when I start trading in/with millions of dollars, I will start participating in such events as this.

It may interest you to know that the exchange also did a global  competition last year called  KCGI, it's an annual event where traders across the globe come together to participate. I am particularly excited about this because it's exclusive to Nigerians and the chances of winning prices are high.

There are lots of AI tools coming out from various platforms but not all are pretty reliable and dependable, I have tried Bitget BOT trading on some occasion and it's pretty good but you need to DYOR.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: Do professional traders lose money?
« on: January 07, 2024, 03:54:19 PM »
minimizing losses is what makes a professional trader
Eliminating loss is impossible due to lack of information about future trend.
Market isn't all about candlesticks and the like
A man can just wake up and post something online and boom your analysis is useless and you in loss.
Professionals just have an higher chance of getting a relatively high net profit.

100% accurate. This elite traders has significantly helped many newbies avoid unnecessary loses in trading. My first cryptocurrency trading started with copying other traders on Bitget 2 years ago and it did really helped until I learned trading myself.

36
I will say mine was not an easy journey I started trading year ago and I actually base on binance and bybit recently
Started as a newbie in trading with the mindset  that trading is a getting rich quick scheme without knowing that trading something that needs more practices and dedication. And is a non stop learning process so Aslong you trading makes sure yah learning too. Due to  inexperienced as a newbie I was focusing in making profit than managing risks so instead of making profit end up making losses. But now due to all that I'm taking my time in learning more and managing my risk and so far there are Been progresses in my trading even though losses is not negligible. So all I will say is that this year trading for me was a nice experience too and a opportunity to prepare my self more for next year.

Jumping into trading is not an easy task as most people think, my first year of trading was horrible and I encountered so much loss untill a friend introduced me to copy trading on Bitget. I tried it out and it turns out to be what I needed to kickstart my trading journey. I learnt a lot copying elite traders trade and I can now trade on my own but I still make use of copy trading when the market is extremely volatile.

To become as big as BNB may be difficult. FTT had initially approached BNB unfortunately they fell. And I think the current OKB can approach slowly. Even if not now. but I saw the OKEx exchange starting to grow bigger over time. and the launchpad there is also similar to Launchpool on Binance. But to match the ranking and market cap is still difficult.

FTT would have been competing favourably with BNB now if not the crash of the exchange no thanks to the CEO Sam. OKB has also been impressive over the years but the exchange token that has surged the most in 2023 is BGB Bitget native token. Still far from OKB and BNB in terms of mcap but could be pull stunt in the next bullrun. I also hodl some OKB so as to balance the PF.

38
For me to invest in any other exchange token other than BNB, the exchange must have proof of reserve and customer protection fund like Binance to avoid any touching story like that of FTT on FTX.

If this is your standard to choose an exchange token to invest in definitely BGB token of Bitget exchange is going to be your next option and also talking about utility BGB has a lot of utility I’m that’s one of the secret behind the productivity of the token. I’m actually amazed by the turn out of BGB in this current 2023, the token is currently the leading exchange token even currently ahead of BNB in its increase. I recently heard the token will be listed on MEXC exchange.

Is Bitget a top 10 exchange?... Really haven't heard about it.

Perhaps you need to check CMC and CG. As a matter of fact Bitget is the world largest derivative and copy trading platform. Have the 2nd largest user protection fund behind Binance and have verifiable Proof of reserve. Top 10 in spot trading and many more.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Bitget protection fund hit a new ATH
« on: December 06, 2023, 04:41:57 PM »
Every investors top priority in choosing a crypto exchange is security of their assets. Over the years, many exchanges have come and gone due to varying factors. Some packed up as a result of mismanagement of users funds, others were due to security breaches like hacks and some due to harsh bear market condition but in the midst of this, Bitget continue to shine, soar and expand across board with the latest report seeing the exchange protection fund record a new ATH of over $400M in the month of November.

No doubt the month of November was quite good for crypto however Bitget protection fund was around $330M four months ago. Very drastic addition in my opinion, while some exchanges seems to be having different issues like lawsuit, hacks and some even packing up due to bankruptcy, it still beat my imagination what Bitget is doing differently to achieve such significant milestone.

What are your thoughts about this development?

Bitcoin has always been the best crypto to buy anytime any day however, in the evolving world of cryptocurrency, diversification of portfolio has become paramount to achieve the utmost results which is profit making.

For long term holding or investment, BTC is non contestable but for traders looking for short term profits, altcoins are obviously the best crypto to buy but you must obviously dyor because just as altcoins has the potential to magnify profits within a short period of time, one can also encountered gigantic loss hence conducting due diligence is very essential

There are some altcoins with good ecosystem that have minimum risk looking at how they have performed over the years and also looking at their mcap which is a good indicator as to whether a token is worth investing on. Examples are KAS, XRP, LTC and BGB. Although BGB is a native token of Bitget exchange but it's one hidden gem that most investors are currently taking advantage of looking at the growth of Bitget over the last 2 years. Aside the fact that the token continues to surge and brings the desired ROI, holding it gives investors exclusive opportunity to get some airdrops for free from the exchange. It's worthy to note that the token is the best performing exchange token in 2023 and it has recorded several ATH despite the continued bear market.

The only cons attached to holding BGB is if the exchange encounter a major crisis which affects the reputation of the cex, users may want to sell it off before price dump but with the transparency of the CEX, that is likely not feasible hence it's more advantageous to Hodl the token before the next bullrun.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: A beginner’s guide on how to buy Bitcoin
« on: November 18, 2023, 06:23:29 PM »
For newbies trying to explore the cryptocurrency industry, it is important that CEX and DEX are ways to buy, sell and trade your cryptocurrency. While Dex gives users more privacy, it's quite a bit complicated to navigate for new users hence the reason why cex are the best option but you must do your due diligence to find out reputable exchanges. Exchanges like Bitget and Binance are top rated cex that is recommended but I personally use Bitget because of availability of more trading pairs, friendly user interface and 24/7 customer service. It's also a very secure exchange because it has a veriable proof of reserve and user protection fund.

If the trip to Dubai is an all expense paid trip, oh why not. That will sure feel like an achievement with thanks to Crypto and web3. Traveling is a big part of my leisure hobbies. Do you mind sharing some more details about the said challenge you're referring to?

It is an exclusive event for Nigeria traders to test their trading skills and get rewarded. Often times we just trade and made either profit or loss but this is an event where traders get to learn from others and also earn. There is so much to it than I can explain perhaps you can visit Bitget website or use the link below for details.

I have been a community fans of Bitget over the last 18 months and I have been an advocate of organizing a peculiar event exclusive to Nigerians been the number one crypto hub in Africa.

The recently concluded KCGI global event where an Helicopter Airbus, iPhone 15 pro max and Tesla Cyberquad among others rewards where up for grab further arouse my curiosity as to when Nigeria users will get to experience a peculiar trading event.

I became more worried whether this wasn't going to happen after seeing the ongoing Diwali event for Indian users but finally, there is an event specifically for my Nigerian users.

How does a trip to Dubai sounds like. This and many more are part of what to expect from this contest so let's brace up, come together and test our trading skills in this engaging and interesting contest.

The cryptocurrency industry is currently at a critical stage and the role of exchanges can either "Make or Marr" the growth of the space.

Since 2009 till date, the industry has encountered a mouth watering growth with many institutional adoption of which Honda Motors is the latest to announce purchase of their product via crypto. Let's not also forget Elon Musk also accept payment of crypto for his Tesla cars and other big institution around the world also accept crypto as means of payment to obtain their goods.

This shows the world and future of crypto look promising but one area of particular interest that could potentially hinder this growth seems to be compliance by crypto exchanges to be regulated which of course I personally deem important because of the past event of scam from exchanges, hacks and collapse of some CEX which left investors in shambles.

The leading cryptocurrency exchange Binance which is supposed to take the lead in regulatory compliance seems to be having troubles with many countries already due to one regulatory issues to another ranging from licensing, operating within the legal framework of the country and compliance to regulation in general which have caused their exit from countries like United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Switzerland, Japan and others. Recently Bybit another top crypto exchange has also exited the UK market raising an eye brow about the readiness of this exchanges to extant laws that seek to protect the interest of users and investors.

If this turn of events towards rejecting to be regulated by countries persist, crypto might prolly fade away with time especially if some top exchanges are not operational in top countries like USA, UK, Canada, Japan and the rest.

What are your thoughts?

2023 hasn't been much of a great year for crypto enthusiasts as the bear market persist without any hope of improvement as we head towards the last quarter of the year. We have also witnessed a significant drop in crypto adoption and for those of us who have stayed long in the space, it's a perfect opportunity to DCA ahead of the bullrun especially for long term holders. In the midst of this bear market, it is however worthy to note that some projects and exchanges have thrived surviving the harsh market condition

Daily traders whose source of income is solely from trading seems to be mostly affected with the current market situation as the prices of crypto assets are faced with high volatility. It's therefore usual to incur a significant profit and loss PnL ratio while trading but it's good to see an event targeted at turning this dramatic scenario into a gain for crypto traders

The Bitget PnL trading contest is one which caught my attention with several hot tokens like XRP, BLUR, PEPE, TRB and others all available to be traded in this contest. While I think this a good innovation for traders to leverage on, I will also like to hear your opinion regarding this kind of events.
