Trading is not a means to make income, when you are new and you don't have huge capital to start trading with even as a professional, because you most run at loss. That is why I don't gamble around with the little funds that I have by trying to trade or start learning trading. This is because times are hard in the country, and one need to look for a better means to foible his income and not to lose the little one that you have to trading.
Trading can be a way to earn money for those who understand how it works. It's all about having experience and knowledge of the market. However, if you're new to trading and don't understand how the market operates, it's risky to see it as a way to make money. Trading is typically for experts who have a good grasp of market dynamics.

It's common to come across newcomers who claim to be traders, but many times, they lack the necessary understanding of the market. We should understand that trading requires skill and expertise to be successful.

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: How can you choose your bitcoin wallet?
« on: February 11, 2024, 05:38:22 PM »
Choosing the best bitcoin wallet is the most important step. I've heard of cold wallet or hot wallet. How do you choose yours?
If you're into crypto, keeping your funds safe is very important. Choosing the right wallets is key, especially if you plan to hold onto your coins for a long time. There are different types of wallets to consider based on your needs and preferences.

For those aiming to store their coins securely for an extended period, cold wallets (hardware wallets) are recommended. They offer enhanced safety by keeping your coins offline, away from the internet. If you're using hot wallets because hardware wallets are costly, opt for reputable ones like Electrum or Blue Wallet. While most hot wallets, including Electrum, are generally safe, it's essential to prioritize security and always download from the right source ie, their official website.

Avoid relying on centralized platforms to store your funds unless you're a trader or a business owner who needs frequent access to funds. Centralized platforms pose higher risks.

Basic questions about this forum / Re: How to add to ignore list
« on: February 07, 2024, 02:37:43 AM »
I believe this is a new feature you added in the forum, i don't think i would need to ignore users, if i don't like posts from a particular user, i would just stop reading them when i see it, but this feature may be important for people who like to use it to filter posts that they would read.

By the way, should the 'buddy list' be a list of ones favorite members and friends in the forum.
I noticed the same thing, buddy. I've checked the profile settings before, but didn't see it there. I think the Admin is gradually adding new features to the forum. It's cool because many people might want to ignore certain users. What's even better is that you can add users to your list, and the button isn't on the side of each profile like on BitcoinTalk. On BitcoinTalk, you might ignore a user without even realizing it. This way is better. Good job, Admin!

Have your younger brothers know bitcointalk?
If he already know bitcointalk, it is easy to explain altcoinstalks forum. Basically, both bitcointalk and altcoinstaks are the same, they have similar functions. It is the media of any people to share and discuss about crypto and everything related to crypto. And people join this forum may have different goals. What your goal to explain it to your younger brothers?

That's true mate, if his brothers are already familiar with BitcoinTalk then altcoinstalk shouldn't be a problem for them. Both platforms have similarities and just spending sometime here will make you understand more. The only difference here and BitcoinTalk is that we discuss more of altcoins than Bitcoin.

Also it depends on why your brother should know about these websites, is it to earn or to learn. If their main purpose here is to earn without learning then it would be difficult for them to last a month. The best thing you should inform them is that learning is one of the major purpose of joining these forums and if they are kin on learning then it will be better for them.

Forum related / Re: Reorganizing forum boards & subboards
« on: February 03, 2024, 06:07:08 AM »
I think forum related should be closer to the top but I am only 1 voice. Any order is fine really as its not really that complicated to scroll down. I find myself on the gambling board the most and its pretty far down, but I'm ok with it.

I'm will also go with you mate. The forum related should be closer to the top probably after Bitcoin discussion board. That's because it would be easier to find or ask questions relating to the forum. With the position where it is now, most newbies or newly teleported members might not be able to find it on time. It's a board that should be seen all the time just in case of such situations.

You have done well @examplens. I guess this arrangement will go with other members of the forum as the current arrangement format looks disorganized, bulky also a bit confusing. It all depends on the admin if he will agree with this. we don't want a situation that will seem much like we are trying to turn this forum to Bitcointalk just because we want to organize it 8)

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Airdrop worthless?
« on: February 02, 2024, 03:55:17 AM »
There are some certain new airdrops that pays  but the thing is about finding a legit one. Since most people already have this idea if airdrops being worthless most if the time, they dont  bother to check some out at all. Before now, airdrops used to be a legit way of  some new crypto but that's not what we see today.

The idea about airdrop is to help increase the market supply of new coins so when they finally get listed there might be a positive movement in the market trend. This way project developers are able to create a hype for their coins and possibly earn from it.While some airdrops can indeed help increase the market supply of new coins and generate hype for projects, there are also many scams and low-quality projects to be wary of
