Whenever I see the way things are going in this country, I feel like crying but to be honest is there really a way for from this economic crises? I don't think so because things are going from bad to worse and it's really appalling. Let's take a moment and reminisce on how this country was before the the reign of our recent leaders, I don't want to call names but am pretty sure you know the set of people am talking about. I pray things get back to normal so we can all live in peace again in this country.

« on: March 17, 2024, 12:53:07 AM »
I'll choose money a hundred times over that sh**t you call respect, because na who get money them dey respect for this we country so. Bro just go and make money and you'll earn your respect, if you make lot's of money definitely you're having both money and respect all in one.

« on: March 16, 2024, 09:39:16 PM »
My bro, nothing is improving in this country yet we call ourselves the giant of Africa. Today you bought an item for this amount, go back tomorrow and you'll buy that same commodity for another price and this time even higher than the price you bought it yesterday, is that a sign of improvement? I guess you know the answer already.

General Discussion / Re: Did you ever quit smoking if so for how long?
« on: March 16, 2024, 03:15:30 PM »
Am not a smoker but I know too well that quiting smoking is a process because to a smoker it's like asking him to stop breathing which is impossible, but hey trust be you can quit smoking for good if you're determine to stop it, I know for sure that it's gonna be hard at first but believe me, you can do it. Try going two days without smoking, to the whole week without smoking, and after that try going a week, to weeks from weeks to months. there's no habit that needs to be stopped that can't we stopped, most of these guys who later turned chronic smokers today is because they don't have the determination and the right persons to tell them about the dangers of smoking, but even without a mentor you can still get out of that habit.

General Discussion / HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR WEEKEND?
« on: March 16, 2024, 01:39:32 PM »
Good day guys
In this article, I'll be sharing with us some interesting ways to spend the weekend.

It's true that weekends are for fun but the same time stressful as well, let's look at four basic ways to spend the weekend.

1. RELAXATION: Sometimes people get too up-tight with themselves, so I'll advise you dedicate some of your time unwind yourself by indulging in reading, listening to good music, take a soft walk around your area or a quiet place or practice meditation alone.

2. SOCIALIZE:  This is simply spending quality time with family and friends by organizing a mini gathering, go out to grab a meal together or even have a picnic together. So many people get too busy that they barely spend time with people around them and the whole thing will look as if you're isolating yourself from them. Always free yourself whenever you're less busy and in most cases that free time is only by weekends so constantly engage yourself in activities that'll make you happy.

3. FITNESS AND RECREATION: Of course it's fun to keep yourself fit and energetic and the perfect time to do that is during the weekend. So stay active and healthy by engaging in physical activities like seeing a gym instructor, go out for a jog, cycling or even by playing sport as all these are ways to stay fit and healthy for the new weeks the activities ahead of you.

4. HOBBIES: What is that thing you're really passionate about? That thing that really makes you feel good, and of course weekends are for you to do them, so go out and pursue your interest or hobbies that you're passionate about, whether it's cooking, painting, playing video games, watching football, sewing, baking or going to have a studio session.

Sometimes the reasons why we look really stressed and unhappy even on a Mondays is because we've failed to give ourselves what the spirit and soul wants, so I'll suggest you take this article serious and work on these tips and see yourself grow in joy and sweetness in your soul.
Have a great day ahead.

General Discussion / Manchester United fans can relate
« on: March 16, 2024, 01:01:19 PM »
Good day everyone
Am a Manchester United fan and am proud of my club of my football club. being a manU fan as a Nigerian is not easy at all because now I can't even watch my own match in peace anymore even if we're leading the game by two goals to nill. oh my Manchester of yesterday is gone, I could remember back then when we still have the likes of Vidic, Carrick, Ossea, Evra at the back then you see the likes of Giggs, Paul Schulse, J.S.Pack in the midfield and iconic legends like Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Nani or Tevez at the front, who are you not to give us the three points na, but now oh Jesus Christ, just to go and watch our is a task because if I don't go all these lousy Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and some Baby-City fans wont allow me to rest. Only God will deliver this present Man U team especially this one that we're playing against Liverpool tomorrow only God will help us. But all the same, I love my team because we're still the King when it comes to English Football.

I just hope we win against Liverpool to advance to the next stage of the FA Cup.

General Discussion / Re: Relationships

Nobody is perfect my dear, so if you must love genuinely, you must be willing to accept everything (both the ugly and good) about your partner. the most important thing is being truthful, honest and the willingness to learn from each other.

 Good day everyone
Thanks for raising this topic
Honestly am not against it but I'll advise everyone to choose the life they can afford rather than going for a life you can't maintain. before seeking for the comfort you need, you should also calculate your budget and your income ooh, make you no go lodge for five-star hotel con go sip garri for house the next day ooh.
I just say make I update our buggers.

Truth be said 8) we are our own problem
Everybody in the society just want to take advantage of this hard time, we're all aware that some government policies too has also affected us negatively but we shouldn't push all the blames to the government alone, and also the rate at which things are adding price ehh omor sometimes I just fill like leaving this country for good but one thing we must understand is that "leaving the country due to the economic meltdown won't solve your problems, rather enslaving yourself in a foreign land" we all have a roll to play in terms of making Nigeria work again. Let's stop selling our product with a bias mindset all in the name of making excess gain or following the trend that dollar is on the high side (inflation) let's come together leaving our sentiments aside and make this country work again, thank you and God Bless Nigeria🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬

Off topic & Sports / Re: Solutions to our economic crisis?
« on: March 15, 2024, 10:17:55 PM »
Good evening everyone here
Nigerians problems is so conspicuous that you can't trace it to a single source because even we the citizens have our own part to play when it comes to making our economy work. And sometimes we're just so funny that we push all the blames to the government forgetting that part that we have to play. Nigeria is a place where everybody wants to take advantage of any economic crises that is going on in the country, raging from the federal to the local level, from the offices to the petty market sellers, and until we look within and stop castigating out leader only, we will still be unable to solve Nigerians economic problems and things will continue to be on the high side on a daily.

Before we talk about what family dispute is, I will like us to first of all look at what a dispute is all about.
A dispute can simply be seen as a disagreement between two or more parties over a particular issues. It can also be said that dispute is also the absent of peace.
Dispute can arise in various context, such a personal relationship, businesses transaction, legal matters, etc.
And this take us to the mean deal on what family dispute is all about.
Family dispute can simply be seen or refers to a situation whereby the smooth interaction and relation among members of a family is disrupted because of one thing or the other. Family dispute can be between two parents or between parents and their children.
Dispute in a family can be as a result of lack of trust, drunkenness, lack of dialogue, joblessness, etc. And in must cases dispute come in form of a fight, quarrel or child molestation, and this can result to a bad atmosphere in the family, separation or even divorce between spouses. When one form of violence is found in the family, other forms are likely to also occur and that violence in the family has a direct relationship to community violence and other forms of aggression and gender based violence.
Family life should be characterized by good communication between it's members, close cooperates and collaboration so that everyone can leave in love, peace and unity.
Family dispute, especially between father and mother, affect the mental health of the children and this will negatively affect their adulthood in the future. Such a phenomenon may result in barriers to development in the family and the community at large. Taking account of this crucial problem, everyone should participate effectively and fight against family dispute in order to maintain and improve the well-being of everyone in the family.
THIS IS THE FOCUS OF THIS ARTICLE:
If parents keep having constant dispute at home, children are bound to be affected (Psychologically, emotionally and even academically) as they grow up. It is also said that children learn through imitation and identification with their parents and other significant adults. If the children grow up in a family were violence is a common phenomenon, they may end up doing the same in their families even when they grow up, unless intervention is sort for.
The first important influence on the children is the family because it is the bedrock of socialization, and because children and families are interactive members of a large system of social institutions, such as school, church, workplace and to communities.
Dispute is a critical aspect of family functioning that often outweight the influence of family structure on the child's development.

To Be Continued...
