Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble regularly?
« on: January 31, 2024, 11:46:59 AM »
Gambling strategy varies from individual to individual and everyone has a plan.

No doubt, strategies vary according to the gambler. Some use the martingale method which is a betting strategy involving doubling up on losing bets and reducing winning bets by half. Others use the rollover method which involves staking the bonus several times. For instance, if you start with the sum of $500 and instead of utilizing the win, you place the bonus continuously for 10x with a specific odd of 2.00 if you have decided on betting on an odd of 2.00 for 10x. That means, $500 x 2.00 for 10x will amount to $512000 before using the win. Sadly, the diverse strategies have never guaranteed 100% winning and that is why the search for strategies will be unending.

according to me everyday gambling is very injurious for your asset, it will reduce your asset before you realize it.

I don't believe that gambling every day is bad for everyone. It all depends on the gambler, his motives and his income. If the individual is rich and so sets out a limit to gamble every day, it will be difficult for his asset to reduce. If the motive is for fun, then there is nothing wrong with having fun every day. So, I advocate that a gambler should first consider his finances and motive before deciding whether to gamble every day or not. If the motive is to get rich then he shouldn`t be involved in everyday gambling he will likely be caught in the web of revenge betting and that becomes a doom for him.

What do you think about yourself and how do you want to define the word Gambler?

A gambler is a risk-taker who is not certain about the outcome of an event but places something of value on the event with the hopes of getting it if the outcome is what he predicted. I am a gambler specifically sports bettor, I place money on a football match and hope to get more money.

The irony of gambling is that a gambler will always lose but this doesn`t prevent him from gambling. This is why gambling is regarded as a game of risk. Show me a gambler and I will show you an investor who has invested in a risky venture and so, he is not sure of getting results.

Gambling discussion / Re: Investing in a gambler essential?
« on: January 31, 2024, 09:51:57 AM »
To me gambling is about risk and no one should come with any sweet mouth to deceive you about how to invest in their lives to earn higher stakes from them when they might have win big, I also understand when they win you won't have that space to meet with them to have you allocations as agreed.

Gambling is a risk and it is a fact open to every gambler. No gambler is shielded from the risk involved in gambling. Gambling is a game of chance and to me, the probability of losing outweighs the probability of winning. Mathematically, it is 60/40 (lose/win) meaning that you will lose more than you win. Since this is the reality it will amount to a waste of time and money investing in a gambler essential. In other words, there is no know-it-all in gambling. All gamblers keep trying to win and win big.

I remember sending money to a friend to help me gamble because of the nature of my work. My friend was into live betting and at that time he was making profits so I couldn`t involved because during work I don`t have access to my phone so I sent him the money to stake for me as he is staking for himself. It just happened that when I was involved he started having bad runs. So, investing in a gambler essential is like paying a human to make you live forever.

Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling not fun for everyone!
« on: January 30, 2024, 03:42:36 AM »
Only rich people can gamble for fun but most people gamble to make money. Besides gambling requires money so it is foolish to have fun with it. There are difficult and easy moments in gambling but there you should analyze with experience. In gambling you will always lose it is really false advertising so you have to collect money between losing and winning.

The fact that I am not rich doesn`t mean I don`t have fun in gambling. In my quest to get rich out of gambling, I am having fun in it. I have a set of friends with whom we gamble together. After the outcome of the game, we sit and laugh at each other. We have a friend we call "Mr. Cut One". This name was given to him because he will always tell you that only one game spoiled his ticket lol and you will never see the ticket. The day I saw his ticket, it had more than one bad game lol. Even before we stake games who joke saying that the game will still not play. So, it is possible to have fun and still chase the money it all depends on your friends and your approach towards the game.

Gambling discussion / Re: offline and online gambling which is best?
« on: January 30, 2024, 03:29:10 AM »
Most of my gambling is done offline because I enjoy the atmosphere of betting shops. People from different walks of life come in to gamble. You can easily interact with people and ask them about their opinions on certain games. When you gamble offline you can easily get information about new signings, injury players, suspended players and motivation of teams.

This is important for me because I am too lazy to source that information online. So, gambling offline makes it easy for me to get updated. Offline gambling makes it possible for people to easily laugh at you when you show certain behaviors after losing and this laughter makes most gamblers stay calm. I will always prefer offline gambling.

Gambling discussion / Re: Control your emotions when gambling.
« on: January 30, 2024, 03:14:36 AM »
Gambling is an activity that deals with our emotions because our funds is at stake. This is why as a gambler, we should always try to control our emotions when we are losing or winning. This is because any gambler that cannot control his emotion will end up running at great loss because he does not know how to control his gambling activities but rather allow his emotions to control his gambling life.

Emotion is natural and as humans, it can be expressed in ways like excitement, regret and anticipation.

When a gambler loses something of value there is regret.

When a gambler wins, there is excitement.

When a gambler is about to place a bet, there is anticipation.

The above tells us that emotion is not as bad as the OP made it seem. Well, gamblers tend to show negative emotions more since gambling is a game of probability and this probability has favoured loss than win. When a gambler is losing and then adds emotions to it, it is dangerous because at this point emotions determine his conduct and not his sense of reasoning. This will lead to losing more because the gambler will be in a position where the only thing that will preoccupy his mind is how to recoup his loss.

I don`t gamble regularly considering my finances but then, gambling regularly is not wrong as long as it is done with discipline. By discipline, I mean gambling with only a ratio of your finances you can afford to lose. Sometimes, it is not about betting with an amount you can afford to lose but to be able to avoid gambling addiction.

John Dewey said that we learn to do by doing. If I apply this saying to this discourse, it means that what we do regularly becomes part of us and if not checked, addiction becomes unavoidable. However, the ability to control addiction lies in the importance of discipline in gambling.

Let me note that gambling regularly doesn`t mean that you will lose more than a once-in-a-week or a once-in-a-month gambler. I have seen cases of people who gamble only once a day specifically on Saturdays but place heavy stakes which if you combine the stake of some regular gamblers it is still not half of the one-time stake of these persons. I am certain about this because I have worked in a betting shop.
