I had severally come across these two words in crypto ecosystem but unfortunately, there seems to be the same in meaning, long term investment and Hold. Now, i think that long term  investments are assets that are held for more than one year. You have a point but in my understanding, Long term investment is a king of investment on do with time frame set before selling, and long term varies between individuals, some people can call 8months long term, while some will call 18months long term.
