When scammers are going to create a fraudulent project, it is natural that they try to create the appearance of a legal and prospective project as much as possible. Many of them hire professionals, pay for marketing, so it's difficult to identify a fraudulent project or this one. The first way to check the project is to contact the project team and talk with them, maybe even meet, see their office.

Everything you wrote is perfect except the latest.
For example, I live in Uzbekistan. And for me it is physically imposibble to meet team members or visit their office.
There should be online tools to check or alert off fraudulent projects.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Hola chrome extension was hacked!!!!

If you have Hola chrome extension installed and used MEW within the last 24 hrs, please transfer your funds immediately to a brand new account. Hola chrome extension was hacked for approximately 5 hrs and the attack was logging your activity on MEW,
The MyEtherWallet team reported.

ALSO SOURCE FROM CCN.

So much times I hear about MEW hacking related news. And now Hola is hacked too. That makes me worry because it is the extension that got hacked. I use metamask, thus I am worrying if this extension is going to be hacked too

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Blame the bounty participants
« on: August 21, 2018, 09:01:34 PM »
There are some instances that bounty participants are the reason of dumping the price of the token. I don't know if it is right to blame them because I  think it wasn't the right thing. Blaming the bounty participants won't help to strengthen the profit mindset rather there are chance that one day you are one of them. Blaming shows immaturity.
In addition investors mindset are not the same, so bounty hunters too. Both parties have imperfections. Much better to focus of what you are doing than blaming.

I can’t catch the point of the post. That is the reason why you have posted. But nonetheless if problem is dumping the price, then campaigns should use bounty buy back or payment other than token .

It is really hard to detect scammed bounty campaign. After completing all the requirements to be able to get accepted in a bounty campaign, spending much time to participate in forums and not to mention carrying their banners, completing all the tasks and reports then all of a sudden you will just find out that you have been scammed already. Luckily I am not the only one but to think all participants did the same efforts as well as you did. But it is really happening, lesson learned and could be just charge it to experience and move on. If we could only find out at early stage if we were in to scam or a legit bounty campaign. Anyways who would really know?

I got scammed by 90% of bounty campaigns.
It is not about that campaigns are going nowhere.
It is all the issues regarding distribution, listing, and price dumping and etc.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: What is the most stable altcoins?
« on: August 20, 2018, 08:42:17 PM »
There are more than 1000 altcoins in the market. What do you think for the most stable altcoins?

The most stable coins are the ones that are backed by something.
The more volatile the backed thing, the more volatile is altcoin.
For example coins which are backed by bitcoin are exactly as volatile as bitcoin.
On the other hand, USDT is backed by USD, and thus it is less volatile.

Reason: The stair pattern continues. Sharp down-movements alternate with slow up-movements. After each sharp down movement a new low is reached. This is the pattern we have seen the last months. Typically, a period of slow up-movements takes 7-10 days, roughly, and every time people say that now we've reached the bottom. So very likely we'll see another sharp down-movement in the next few days. This will lead us in the range of around 5300-5500 USD. And then it starts over. In August we'll see sub $5000 prices. Expect this to continue for a while.

You're right about that.
Down-trend is going again and again.
But no one knows that it may be that whales are knowingly letting price down so all hodlers will get out of BTC and then whales will soar the price in a moment.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Tips for trading Altcoins
« on: August 19, 2018, 10:36:26 PM »
Most Altcoins lose their value over time. They simply bleed their value away slowly (sometimes rapidly).

Take this into account when holding Alts for the medium and long term, and of course choose them carefully. What kind of Alts are recommended for the long term? Remember, this is only when there is a reason for making a trade. The projects/coins that have a higher daily trading volume and which have a widespread community behind them, with continuous development. You should follow the coin’s chart and identify low and stable periods. Such periods are likely to be a consolidation period by the whales, and when the right time comes, accompanied by a good press release of the project, the pump will start and they will sell in profit.

I don't understand Altcoins trading because they don't have a clear set-up and are illiqiud mostly at times.
Altcoins trading is highly risky and I wouldn't teach people about that.

A term I come accross quite often, and usually describe cryptocurrencies of failed projects, scams or simply with no future.

These are the worst kind of investment because, they are not going to go anywhere, no moon no KFC.
However, a lot of pump groups manipulate the price of the shitcoins, just to dump them after people start buying in.

Yes.
Actually, a lot of professionals of crypto call all coins besides Bitcion as shitcoins.
Even Charley Lee - the founder of Litecoin.

« on: August 19, 2018, 10:33:00 PM »
why it's important to read white paper

I know to know about the project if it's a scam.

what is the importance of white paper I can ask for your opinion.
thanks.

From white-paper I got understanding of project, of it's perspective.
If the project is fair enough, it has quite understandable white-paper.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Airdrop, yes or no?
« on: August 15, 2018, 11:43:08 PM »
Do you believe coins that does Airdrops can be successful? Or is it just a way for making the coin dump to the ground?

Definetely No!
Airdrops are 99% scam.
They require such things as KYC and other stuff, although it is not worth to send your KYC.
Even if you get your tokens, it will cost penny, nothing.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Do you expect more ICOs in 2019?
« on: August 15, 2018, 11:41:54 PM »
The way the community of crypto is growing, we should expect more ICOs. People have realized that they can make a lot of money in crypto hence the introduction of new ICO'S and even scam which affects people. As the years go by, let us expect more ICO's.

Actually, many people are losing their money because price after listing dumps.
The dump of ICOs make them less attractive for investors.

I think with the awareness created in the crypto world so far, and currently, world bank is planning to lunch it own blockchain, do you expect a further increase on ICOs in 2019 compare to what we are experiencing in 2018?  Your thoughts. Thanks

I think certainly yes, but there will be set certain reforms, making ICOs less fraudelent.
Today ICOs are not regulated, thus it's too risky to participate in one.

We always blame bounty hunters as the cause of sudden drop in coin price because we believe they dump their bounty tokens. I think its the ICO investors who get bonuses during the ICO stages, they rather dump their bonuses for profit and rather put the blame on bounty hunters. What do you think?

I am bounty hunter since  2017, I have gotten many tokens. I learn the market condition, If the market is good , I sell my tokens.  Some time I also got scam.

I think your experience must tell a lot.
I started bounty campaigns few month ago, but already leaving the thing because I got another way of earning by advice marketing.

I am personally a bounty hunter and have been working for about a year now. I have been able to hold all the coins which have been awarded to me. I think there are a lot of bounty hunters out there like me who are keeping hold of their coins. I don't push the blame on investors alone though. But no one should blame bounty hunters only.

I would say that a type of bounty hunters who hold their reward instead of exchanging or trading it is a minority, not a majority.
Major part of bounty hunters are quite happy to sell their reward immediately after they got it.
