For me the competitive edges of altcointalks towards its rivals are as following:

1.  Right from creating account you wil get a 100 bunos points instantly after you have created and verified your account.
2. Link to number 1,  the one that referred a link will get an extra points when there are someone who sign-up on his referral links.
3. Points collected can be withdraw to have ALTS tokens (10 points = 1 ALTS)
4. Being active in altcointalk will bear additional points. (2 points/post)
6. User friendly environment.
5. Most of all , participants here in altcointalk are friendly unlike in bitcointalk.

Think about that, how can you distinguish a popular writer and not a popular one in steemit? You can do it in medium or on youtube. But how on steemit?

Upvotes can be fake, it doesn't show views.

I understand where you are coming from dear.. I feel the same especially when I was starting there last year. I wrote travel blogs before with more than 500 words but most of the time ends up getting less than a dollar upvote. The steemit upvote system is not very nice. You have to have the right audience, some other users would even kiss arse to get noticed. Then there are bots. To survive, you have to invest in your own steem power or really interact and be active, use the right tags and just be constant with posting.

Madali lang naman, basta't basahin mo ang rules ng bounty na sasalihan mo. Parang walang sahod ang moderator dito pero siguro minsan binibigyan sila ng mga tokens.
