XRP - Ripple Forum / Re: Do you consider ripple as the crypto?

Ripple is more centralized because of all the regulations they are complying with in order to combat anti-money laundering and other know your customer type of compliance, but it can still be considered as crypto being compliant with other properties. \

XRP - Ripple Forum / Re: Can Ripple Overcome ETH
« on: September 14, 2018, 01:49:58 PM »
Unlikely in terms of price. Ripple has a supply of 40 times the supply of ETH, but if you look at the dollar value invested and associated returns then there might be a case that Ripple can beat Ethereum.

Ethereum has some major uphill battles in the way, from scaling to other platforms challenging its positions. But XRP holds high due to its banking partnerships.

Ether price has been declining mostly for two reasons:

1. Firstly, the introduction of a new BitMEX - ETH perpetual swap contract, which allowed traders to shorten the price of ETH with up to 100x leverage in a similar manner like the XBT (BTC) BitMEX contract. Although this has not been confirmed, this statistic has led to the speculation that the arrival of the contract allowed pessimistic investors to weigh down on the price of ETH.

2. The ICO sell-off factor, with many traders claiming that projects have begun to liquidate their war chests, that are often full of Ether, into fiat, leading to the current collapse of the market, not only ETH.

This may not have a long-term impact but surely can keep the price low for the next few months.

Ethereum has a good future as it is the most trusted dApps platform and is till think the price can go upto $300 by end of the year.

If the ethereum progress continues as the default platform to launch decentralized applications it may reach over $1000 in couple of years. You can read the complete ethereum price prediction article here.

The chances are it would bounce back quickly and its just for the short term.

Yes, Ethereum is still the king as no other platform has shown the adoption yet which ethereum has.

Ethereum Forum / Re: Trust in Ethereum

Ethereum is a good buy currently. The price was down mainly due to the below reasons:

But Ethereum is still the most trusted platform for dApps and so it's still much more valuable than other similar platforms.

Ethereum Forum / Re: Ethereum crashes to a 16-month low

I think that is expected as this is still a very speculative market. The main reasons for Ethereum to be declining are:

But Ethereum is still way ahead of other similar platforms out there.

Ethereum Forum / Re: The bounce of Ethereum, how long will it last?
« on: September 14, 2018, 01:01:11 PM »
Its a little hard to speculate at this point but Ethereum still holds its position as the most convenient and preferred platform to launch dApps. Unless platforms like Waves, Stellar shows the progress and attract good project, this would remain the case.

This puts it at an advantage atleast for a year or two.

I think the prices are falling not just because the increase in supply but also of the below two reasons:

Ethereum Forum / Re: Will Ethereum have a future?
« on: September 14, 2018, 12:55:47 PM »
Ethereum does have a future as none of the other major decentralized platforms have been adopted by the ICO teams.

I believe its still one of the best platform for launching decentralized apps and may see a good growth in the near future.
