Bitcoin Forum / Re: Why you believe bitcoin exist?
« on: November 05, 2018, 06:25:31 PM »
The schedule for block rewards is set to extend out to the year 2130 so bitcoin mining (in its true sense) can continue for that long as long as there are transactions to produce work for.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Beware of These Five Bitcoin Scams
« on: November 05, 2018, 06:20:15 PM »
The malware, CryptoCurrency Clipboard Hijackers (which reportedly manages 2.3 million bitcoin addresses) switches addresses used to transfer cryptocoin with ones the malware controls - thus transferring the coins to the scammers instead.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: When will the Bitcoin bubble burst?
« on: November 05, 2018, 06:17:40 PM »
This was certainly the case with bubbles relating to mass technological change which promised to change the world, as the hype around Bitcoin and the wider cryptocurrency market would suggest.

Square started offering bitcoin purchases on the Cash App in January, but the NYDFS approval marks a major milestone: New York regulates cryptocurrency transactions much more tightly than other states. CEO Jack Dorsey is a big believer in bitcoin, which he recently claimed could become the internet's "native" currency.

Bitcoin Gold / Re: Bitcoin Gold Mining

Bitcoin Gold mining is built on the Equihash, a Proof-of-Work algorithm, the same that is used for Zcash. It is using the solutions per second or Sol/s metric, which is equal to hashes per second when estimating the profit or your mining power.

Bitcoin Gold / Re: The reason Bitcoin Gold was created
« on: November 05, 2018, 06:10:20 PM »
Bitcoin Gold does not claim that it is the real Bitcoin, but instead, this fork could be healthy for the Bitcoin community. Why is it like that when the hard forks could divide the community and could undermine the confidence in Bitcoin? As the market showed us, Bitcoin price is in an upward trend pushed by the fact that the people that will own Bitcoins on October the 25th (the date when the fork will occur), they will have an equivalent amount of Bitcoin Gold that would be able to be used on November the 1st.

Bitcoin Gold / Re: What Bitcoin Gold Means To You

The process of forking isn't complex. Developers record the state of the blockchain just before the fork then add new blocks listing the transactions of the new currency in a separate blockchain. The reasons for each of the forks were clear too. Bitcoin Cash was intended to create a version that could quickly confirm transactions. (Bitcoin movements currently take anywhere from ten minutes to several hours to confirm.)

Bitcoin Gold / Re: How to get bitcoin gold?
« on: November 05, 2018, 06:06:08 PM »
Like most hard forks of popular coins, the developers of Bitcoin Gold also announced that the Bitcoin community members would receive BTG tokens, equal to their BTC holdings as of October 25, 2017. While that’s public knowledge, many Bitcoin holders still don’t know how to split the BTG from their Bitcoin wallet.

Bitcoin Gold / Re: Will you buy BTG?
« on: November 05, 2018, 06:00:50 PM »
In theory, you should be able to start buying and trading it immediately, but functionally you might have trouble doing so until around 1 November or slightly later. This is when the BTG code will be released to the public and the first blocks will be mined on the new blockchain. Most exchanges and wallets will start investigating how to implement support for BTG on 1 November, and whether it’s a good idea, then.

Bitcoin Gold / Re: Did you sell your BTG you got from BTC fork ?
« on: November 05, 2018, 05:58:30 PM »
As such, if you don’t care about BTG at all right now, you don’t need to do a thing. You can just keep using bitcoin as you always have. If you ever change your mind (and don’t lose your Bitcoin private keys in the meantime), you can still claim your BTG at any point in the future.

Bitcoin Gold / Re: Bitcoin Gold and Bitcoin
« on: November 05, 2018, 05:56:34 PM »
In essence, Bitcoin Gold is very similar to bitcoin. They both have the same transaction-processing time of 10 minutes (ie, it takes approximately 10 minutes to confirm a transaction after cryptocoins have been transferred) and they both have 21 million coins maximum supply (ie, there will never be more than 21 million BTG in circulation).

Bitcoin Gold / Re: Bitcoin Gold scam ?
« on: November 05, 2018, 05:51:11 PM »
Bitcoin scams have been famously criminal and public in nature. With no bank as a middleman in exchange, things become more complicated; so hackers and con men have had a heyday.

Bitcoin Gold / Re: Bitcoin Gold future ?
« on: November 05, 2018, 05:48:12 PM »
According to the bitcoin gold website, the cryptocurrency maintains ambitious plans for expansion into the future. In the first quarter of 2018, for instance, the website says its goals including "open source libraries integration" with BitcoinJS, BitcoinJ, and CoPay, as well as "academic and university collaboration" and "design and rebranding," including a refreshed website.
