Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: HODLing Altcoins

2. I am currently holding none, and the time to hold a coin should not be fixed, like even for BTC as well, if you think now is the good time to book some profit then we should not hesitate to do so, because booking profit at least make us confident about our decisions and we can also retake an entry at some good point later in time.
Truly the time frame to HODL is individual preference but there may be a maximum years that hold surety of getting gains especially when it comes to altcoins and that is the reason for this topic

Now it seems like the mighty SEC are not privacy and security cautious since the attack occurred not based on any fault from X (Twitter) but from the fact that a phone number linked to their account was gotten from a third party and funny enough, the SEC account didn't have any 2FA at the time it was compromised

I think SEC never had similar problems or such a pressure to approve an ETF before!
Truely now all we can do is to watch how they react to this pressure.

How do you know an altcoin will be good for HODLing?
Mostly, I analyze the fundamentals of the altcoins. I only invest in the altcoins that have strong fundamentals. And I usually choose the top 50 altcoins for my long term holding. I rarely invest in new altcoins because most new altcoins aren't trustable. Many of them are scams and failed projects.
True I guess the top 50 really minimise every risk since they have built trust and have a utility value.
How many years if surety do you have in HODLing altcoins and which altcoins are you currently HODLing?
I usually hold for 4 years. It is because we have 4 years cycle of bullish-bearish. I buy the crypto coins during the bearish season, then I will take profits in the bullrun/bullish season. I repeat my investment every 4 years, I think this is the safe target to take in the crypto assets.
indeed buying in the bear and selling in bull using the 4 year span I guess this actually works well but I bet this would work much better with DCA especially since most coins hit significant dip in the mid of the 4 year

Jim Cramer's words on an important economic channel like CNBC will certainly have a positive impact, especially in the face of skeptics who still doubt the power of Bitcoin and that it is a bubble or a Ponzi scheme.
Seriously are there still people who believe bitcoin is a ponzi scheme even after over a decade now, I guess that would be the biggest joke in bitcoin and the people are just too dumb to accept the truth.
Bitcoin has come to stay indeed after all it came with the creation of a technology which did change the world i.e the blockchain technology.
If ghost do exist I guess, Charlie Munger will definitely be embarrassed of his claims on bitcoin as time goes by. While  Jim Cramer's have realised it now that everything that made him critise bitcoin, the entire CEX issues and others doesn't matter to bitcoin because Bitcoin is Bitcoin

Cryptocurrency Trading / HODLing Altcoins
« on: January 09, 2024, 03:31:22 PM »
We all are aware of the higher risk involved in trading than HODLing and it has always been advisable to HODL rather than trade especially to Beginners. Just few days after new year this happened :Market dip hit crypto traders with over $650 million in long liquidations last week. This gives more reasons to avoid trading especially for beginners, since traders may usually fall into pump and dump Schemes and trading especially when trading Altcoins. Its advisable to HODL but the reason I made this post is about from the fact that, we know the surety of HODLing bitcoin, it can be HODL for over a decade but this is not true for most altcoins. Though I have 2 altcoins I can advice anyone to HODL which are Solona and Ethereum while I may have surety of HODLing altcoins for at most 2 years maybe with an exception of Ethereum which I may HODL longer.
I know there are other altcoins worth HODLing but I guess my knowledge is quite vague about investing and HODLing altcoins and so I will like to ask the questions.
  • How do you know an altcoin will be good for HODLing?
  • How many years if surety do you have in HODLing altcoins and which altcoins are you currently HODLing?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Crypto Cards: Convenience or Curiosity?
« on: January 04, 2024, 06:51:53 AM »
You should explore a lot around here. You know they're quite useful for offline/online stuff or shopping. Currently I'm waiting for Bitget to launch their card to public, so I'll get myself one physically.
It may not necessarily be under his control to use it like me I have not use any crypto debit card offline and not that I don't want but  there have not been much adoption of such in my country while I have done some online transactions paying with crypto.

Beneficial for several reasons? I don't seem to see that, dude. Can you please clarify what you are saying here? Like before, you're just hyping. Also, I don't have a crypto card in use so far.

But I've seen many crypto cards before that seem to be the same as debit cards, and I haven't heard or watched on YouTube that other crypto cards have given good benefits. Does anyone know something like that?
To me it's beneficial in that as a crypto enthusiast you would want to use cryptocurrency in almost (if not) everything you do and seeing and seeing such adoption is unique aside from the fact that you don't need to convert your coins to fiat before using them

It's amazing how there are only 6 points that separate the top 5 and I'm looking forward to the shake-up this second half of the season. I'm quite confident that, by March, it will turn into a 2 or 3-team race to the title. It's unlikely but I hope Villa can still keep up by that time. It's always nice to see a new face in the top 4.
Literally not just that this is the second of the season but the part where man city mostly perform better than every other teams in the epl but this season i guess the title race by march will be between liverpool and man city while i support Liverpool to get it because its actually annoying seeing City dominating epl almost every season. While Arsenal will be fighting for 4th or 3rd place if Aston Villa continue with their form and it will be nostalgia seeing the one time winner in the champions league again

Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not for Everyone
« on: January 02, 2024, 06:53:06 PM »
True but the way you put it, makes it sound like It's evil, Gambling is not bad but the addiction to it is evil just like being addicted to drugs. One thing people should note is that, one gambles with the amount he/she is ready to lose and not see it as a source of living though a few have been able to survive with it but still yet I don't think they gamble with something they can't afford to lose.
Above all, those who suffer from lost in gambling are those who depend highly on Luck which later becomes a disaster to them. Also its good to know the style of gambling that works well for you because as for me, I'm sticking with small stake with high odds since I usually ever win unexpectedly

Liverpool Vs Newcastle

Liverpool vs Newcastle match will be played yesterday and I think this match is going to be the best. In this match we can say for sure that Liverpool will win, they are currently in top form in Premier League. Liverpool have been at the top of the EPL this season and their performances have been superb and they have been attacking the opposition in every match. According to that we can say that Liverpool will win yesterday's match in a big way, and according to betting odds we can definitely say that Liverpool will win.
Liverpool came out as the better team as we all expected with a 4 goals to 2 at home against Newcastle. Liverpool has the league this season except they mess up and I guess Man City is still their actual rival who have suffered from injury setback while Arsenal are far too inconsistent but let's see how the new year goes for them all.

But right now, I don't understand what is happening...how will Manchester United concede 2 goals with 25 mins of the match?

I can understand that I haven't watched them for a while. I just want to preserve my health, and not get annoyed by the hyped, overpaid stars who don't want to put in the effort.
if it's not obvious, I'm a Manchester United fan.  :-[
Happy to know that you are a Manchester United fan. Luckily for us, we did the greatest come back of this season. From a 2 goal lead against us, to a 3 : 2 win for us. The young talent Garnacho did wonders and got a brace. What nearly would have been a hatrick if not for the disallowed goal by VAR.
Another grace of the match is that the goal starved Manchester United young and new striker - Hojlund, has gotten a goal in his name. Erik Ten Hang should continue with this formation if he is to continue getting results. From 8th position in the table to 6th position, beside the mighty Manchester City LoL.
one of my biggest amusement is when  I see Manchester United fan thinking they are back to their winning ways after their excellent comeback against Aston but I knew United will be back to their disappointing state, they are too inconsistent and we saw what happened in the next match lol.

What advice do you have for beginners who want to invest?
I will literally advise beginners to avoid ICO even if it's really profitable when you hit the right but what are the odds of doing so?
It's literally small so many scam projects continue to fill the crypto space especially meme coins and we have seen how it all turns out. My advice is get the coin after it has been officially listed though you won't make gains like the others who successfully get them in their ICO but it's better to manage risk or simply invest in the most surest (Bitcoin) or some altcoin like Solana and Ethereum that offer some surety for gains. If you really want to invest in ICO consider it as gambling and invest what you afford to lost

The end of last year was bearish and the crash of FTX, made alot claim the fall of Bitcoin and crypto currency is about to happen skipping to 2023, Bitcoin continues to prove it is Bitcoin going over 2x the price of last year ending. I enjoy greatly from bitcoin and solona. I guess Solana is the only altcoin I can really put my money in without worries aside Ethereum knowing it as a relevant use and not like most altcoins
