Stable Coins Forum / Re: Accepting Stablecoins for Big-Ticket Items?

Hola :)

Hola Daiana
si tu lengua madre es castillano, según mi teoría vienes de Argentina!  :D

Estoy aprendiendo español y actualmente vivo en un país de habla hispana, pero no es mi lengua materna. :) Argentina is high on my bucketlist, the nature looks so awesome and I am a big fan of all the great meat..

Yes it would only be for a short amount of time, just to make the transaction easier between me and the buyer. When I bought the boat I had to go to my bank and show them all of the paper trails for how I could afford the boat and then they had to manually approve the transaction (even if the price was just above 100 000euros which is not a massive amount..

Cryptocurrency discussions / Anonymity - good or bad?
« on: April 23, 2024, 07:32:23 PM »
How many of us use aliases in the crypto world? It's fascinating how biases related to sex, age, skin color, or body type seem irrelevant here—it's purely about your ideas and actions. I was on a call the other day, the presenter used a voice changer and there was no video. It felt freeing to engage purely based on the exchange of thoughts.

However, this anonymity has its downsides, it's easy to get scammed. Additionally, there are legal concerns, especially regarding taxation. Some countries are even reducing anonymity to prevent tax evasion. What do you think is a good balance between maintaining privacy and reducing potential misuse in the crypto space?

Yes, don't want to have any funds frozen. Bitcoin can go up but also down of course, since I need the money for the boat to buy another home I'm not willing to gamble too much.

I am still pretty new to crypto and bitcoin just seems a bit too volatile for my nerves.. Stablecoins (the ones that are pegged and backed by good assets, seems a bit safer)

Thanks for your replay! Yes I have looked a bit at USDT (very interesting now when transactions can be done on telegram) and Dai (cool with the DAO and the yield).

Hola! I'm considering accepting stablecoins as payment for selling my boat. Would you consider accepting stablecoins for transactions above 100 000K? If so, which stablecoins would you trust enough to use, and why?

Keen to hear your thoughts and experiences!

Gas fees are super low right now! I just made a couple of transactions and the fee that started with 100 dollars when I started this thread was down to 15 dollars today!

Thanks for all of the replies! I have metamask, didn't even know that it was a good wallet for getting lower fees. Any specific settings I need to do?

I was about to do a transaction and the gas fee was very high! Any advice on how to get the lowest gas fees? I have looked at the heatmap, and I can see that at certain times and days, it's a bit lower. Any advice for a newbie?

Thanks!!

Dai Forum / Re: DSR

So it was up on 15% in March and based on a few articles the risk is low. However it would be nice to chat with someone who is using it, but maybe I just need to take the leap and try it myself :)

Thanks for the link! Its just that I am tired of the centralization, my bank is quite annoying with all the questions and restrictions for me with my own money.. I like that Dai is a dao..

Dai Forum / DSR
« on: April 02, 2024, 10:52:39 PM »
Hey everyone,

I've holding some Dai and I'm wondering what to do next. I'm to utilize the Dai Savings Rate (DSR) to earn some interest. I'm curious about the ease of use, reliability, and overall experiences anyone had with DSR.

How straightforward is the process of putting Dai into DSR and are there any fees involved?
Have you found the interest earnings to be satisfactory, it seems to be pretty high right now.
Is it easy to withdraw whenever you need, or are there any catch?
Any other tips or things I should be aware of before making the move?

I appreciate any experiences or advice. Thanks!!
