Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be taken as a profession?
« on: January 25, 2024, 07:27:13 AM »
I don't know, but I guess those poker players who are joining different tournaments are considering gambling as their profession already.
I mean I don't have the numbers, but I believe that there are gamblers out there who are treating gambling as some kind of profession already because they're earning on it.

For most, I know it is impossible to make gambling a profession because most of the gamblers are losing money on it, but I've heard stories here in our place regarding certain people who are winning in gambling, and those winnings of them are being used to buy their own home, car, etc. If there are gamblers out there who are taking gambling as their profession, they might be poker players because poker isn't only a game of luck, but there's some kind of mind games on it as well.

DOGE is the perfect choice for this one because:
1. It's Elon Musk's favorite cryptocurrency.
2. It will serve the main purpose of the coin itself which is for tipping other users.

If there will be any coins that might get integrated into the platform, those are the coins with relatively low transaction fees. I mean the lowest of the lows, and the fastest as well might get integrated. Nevertheless, many are speculating ever since Elon Musk bought X (formerly known as Twitter), but until now, there are no signs that Musk will integrate cryptocurrency into his platform. I will not be surprised if he will make this a reality though. :)

Conclusion: I feel that greed is one problem in trading that can actually lead to unexpected losses. My advice is that, as a trader, always take that profit you have made. If, for example, you entered a position and it's really going in your direction, if you have seen a +$100-$500 profit, it's better to take it first.
It's very easy to say "Always take profit" if you aren't a trader, but TBH, it's hard if you're in that position where you are up 200% in your position, but you still want more because you're too greedy.

I've been in that situation already many times. One trade, you will gain so much profit, but you want more so you will make another trade again and this time, you lose. Taking profits is very easy to do, but because there are many greedy traders, their supposed profits will turn out to be huge losses. Taking profit will never be hurtful. Just think that profit = profit, and that would be better than waiting for more, hoping to get more profits only to end up losing.

Greediness is always a problem for some traders so I guess learning how to be emotionless when trading would be helpful. Stick to your strategy. If your plan is to sell when you're up 10% then at all cases, do it, and don't wait for any longer. After all, profit is profit. :)

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: You can start Free in Crypto
« on: January 25, 2024, 04:01:57 AM »
~
Anyone here who started crypto as a feee users or have any advice for those want free crypto?
Well, I'm not in this category anymore because I invested 10$ of my own money back in 2018 when I wanted to try trading. That 10$ is the only money that I invested that came into my pocket. Anything that I have now is what I get from various bounty campaigns including signature campaigns.

You can start for free in cryptocurrency. Faucets back then could give you free money just by clicking on those websites full of ads. It's annoying,  but it's free money. Nowadays, there are still many ways to earn crypto without using any of your own money. Bounty campaigns, airdrops (projects that are giving tokens to those testnet users), freelancing, etc.

If you have no money, you can't join bounty, airdrop, or contest. You need to have money to connect to internet at least.  :D
I'm assuming that you're a bit sarcastic about this, but you're right anyway. :D Oh I forgot that I'm not the one paying for our internet connection. :P

Do you encounter resistance from family members opposed to your participation in the crypto market? How have you approached resolving this situation? Share your experiences and let's engage in a constructive discussion.
None and TBH, they don't really care.
After all, they aren't into investments. They don't even know basic terms that's connected to investing.

It's hard to answer that question because I didn't experience it first-hand, but I guess you can use the "Success Approach" on that one. What do I mean by success approach. I mean show your success in investing to them, and let them decide if they will support you or now. This isn't related to investing, but I still remember the time where my family wants me to work as a government employee, but I rejected that. They are against that decision of mine, until I show to them that I'm earning way more working from home than when I'm working at a government until it came to a time where they just let me do what I want to do.

I guess this can also be applied in investing. Let your success be the answer. Let your success convince your family.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Wanna purchase a coin
« on: January 24, 2024, 03:19:36 PM »
Hi, $500 but I don't know the best coin to buy. any recommendation plz
Top 10 coins? Go on BTC, and ETH.
Top 11-50 coins? Go on ATOM, INJ, TIA, SEI Network
Top 51-100 coins? Go on SUI, OSMO, RUNE, dYdX

These are just recommendations, and I'm a bit bias on it of course because some of them are the tokens that I'm holding, but you can just play with it if you want. With your 500$, you can buy at least 1 on top 10, 1 on top 11-50, and 1 on top 51-100. Just remember, the lower the market cap, the higher the risk, but the higher the reward. :)

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Airdrop worthless?
« on: January 24, 2024, 02:21:32 PM »
Uniswap, SUI, Celestia, Manta Network, JITO, Arbitrum, BLUR.
Now ask me again. Are airdrops worthless now?

The tokens that I shared are just a few names of projects that started as an airdrop. For those who are saying that airdrops are worthless, at least try to do a research before saying that. Many airdrops are happening every year, and only a few of them are becoming a successful project. TIA and JITO in 2023, Manta Network, and others in 2024. Don't generalize, and say that all airdrops are worthless. Some investors out there earned 5 or even 6 digits right now just by airdrops alone. Just imagine those who staked their SOL to earn JITO. Just imagine those who staked ATOM, and OSMO to earn TIA tokens, and that's all for free. Well, not basically free because they invested, but still the tokens that they used to gain more tokens aren't just some shitcoins out there, so they can still hold them while earning tokens.

2017 = 2023. Airdrops aren't worthless at all. Maybe you're just either lazy or unlucky. :P

Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling effect of you life!
« on: January 24, 2024, 10:17:39 AM »
Actually in real life we have to face various problems while playing gambling. Privacy is important in all offline and online gambling because various problems may arise in your life.
Family
Society
Money
In my opinion, all these aspects can cause more problems when you gamble. But how are you facing all these problems.
Family problems? Societal problems? Financial problems? I don't have any of this problem back when I'm still gambling.
How did I do it? I just gambled casually, and when I mean casually, I mean I'm only spending a few bucks, and when I lose, I don't recover those losses at all.

Some experience family problems because they're spending more time gambling than their own family. Societal problems? I guess it isn't that much of a problem at all, especially for me that's an introvert. Financial problem is the worst problem of all 3 because most gamblers experience this type of problem. The first one and the third one are correlated because if you have a financial problem, there might be a chance that you might face problems regarding your family because they might get affected because of your money problems.

Overall, just gamble casually, and you will not face these 3 problems. :) That's for sure.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Which ship brought you to crypto world?

I am particularly intrigued to learn about your own path into the crypto market. What ignited your interest? What were your initial expectations? And what insights have you gained through your involvement in this ever-evolving domain? I welcome your thoughts and experiences, as they serve as valuable perspectives on the multifaceted crypto world.
I would be a hypocrite if I did not say that money is the reason why I got myself into cryptocurrency.
I've been finding ways to earn money online since I just graduated from college when I started to learn cryptocurrency. That was in 2017 when faucets were pretty much popular at that time. I mean I'm earning tiny bits of Bitcoin that's called Satoshis, and at that time, I was happy to earn even a few cents just by clicking, and clicking, and clicking.

But I know there's much to it that's why I tried to learn more about cryptocurrency. Yes, I'm still doing this faucet thing, but I'm also watching documentaries regarding crypto on YouTube. I want myself to get educated. I want to learn more about this new technology. Over time, I learn the basics of Bitcoin and the whole cryptocurrency.

Like others here, a ship called "Faucet 6969" has brought me into the crypto world. I guess it's good that I didn't focus on that one too much and focused on learning.

I've been in the crypto space for years already, but I guess I can consider myself lucky for not falling into these kinds of traps... or I'm just intelligent enough compared to these stupid scammers. :P

Anyway, thanks @admin for giving us a warning. These types of warnings might help 1 or 2 newbies out there to not fall into these types of scams. I'm still reading some Cointelegraph articles because as much as I don't want them, sometimes they are making articles that are very informative, and very helpful for me. I just hope that there are only a few people who fall into that trap, and I always believe that investors are becoming more, and more intelligent as years go by thus, they will know how to not get scammed.

Thanks @admin. :)

Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not for Everyone
« on: January 21, 2024, 04:17:42 PM »

Don't say gambling is fun so you want to play. Lolz, you are playing with your life. Gambling never be a fun for all but for those who understand it. When gambling drained your pocket and purse then you will know if gambling is for fun or not. Gambling is not for everyone. Though some may say it is for all but as for me it is not for everyone.
I know that most of the gamblers are gambling not for the sake of entertainment, but for the sake of money, but I always believe that there are some rich gamblers out there who don't have any way to let themselves get entertainment thus, they're looking at gambling as their way to at least get entertained.

Draining the pocket? Rich gamblers don't even care if they're pockets become empty because after all, they're rich. As long as you have money and got addicted to gambling, you will gamble. I will just re-iterate what you said though. Gambling is for everyone, but not everyone can be a successful person with the help of gambling. It's for everyone to use, but don't expect positive results when you go gamble especially if you don't even know when to stop if needed.

What do you think of Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF)?

Quote
Ex-Alameda Research CEO revealed that Sam Bankman-Fried conspired to keep Bitcoin price below $20,000 by selling customer BTC. SBF also directed the hedge fund to dump BTC acquired from FTX customer funds to stabilize prices. Ellison also had it on her agenda to get regulators to crack down on Binance exchange.

Some say he is a state actor, put into power and spotlight by the shady organisations some countries have. What do you guys think ?
Then let him do it. I will gladly take the opportunity to buy more if he does that.
If people sees this as a threat, I see this as an opportunity to buy more Bitcoins. It's like having a sale in my favorite store. :)

I'm hoping, I'm really hoping that this is true so that I can buy more. Those who are against me are those who bought at the top, near to it, or those who panic so easily that they don't want to see their portfolio down double digit percentages. What are the chances of this to be true? Kind of low, and TBH I don't expect Bitcoin to reach that price again "EVER". I will say it again. "EVER". We are months before the halving event, and a few months after that will be the start of the bull run. After that, we will enter the bear phase, and I don't expect Bitcoin to go down as low as $20,000.

Overall, I would love to see this happen, but the chances of this to happen is very low IMO.

I just want to clarify that all profitable traders start from newbie and I believe that they also experience loses.

My only advice for newbie traders is back test your strategy very well and always follow your trading plan. Avoid the market if you can't see any setup that suit your criteria. Be a disciplined person because this is what you really need if you feel like your emotion is trying to control you.
I also don't know why there are people here who are discouraging the newbies to trade.

If they want to trade, let them trade. Like what OP said, expert traders right now started as newbies as well, and there's no people who already are expert the first time they do it. It takes time, and capital of course in order to become an expert trader, but if you find a strategy that works for you then good.

Having a plan, learning the traits that you need to learn, learning how to read charts, and of course having a lot of money is the key to be a successful trader. I included having a lot of money because it's almost certain that you will lose money in your first tries if you're a newbie.

Re: Newbies never buy memecoin quickly.
Nah. Let them buy meme coins.
I'm dead serious. Let the newbies buy some meme coins.

In investing, you will not learn if you will not commit mistakes. Those successful investors right now didn't become successful because they did everything right. They're successful now because they learned from their mistakes. Being successful in investing isn't easy and along the way, you will experience mistakes. Investing into meme coins might be a mistake for most newbies to do, but believe me when I say that there are a few newbies out there who made money through investing into meme coins, and yes it's pure luck, but they still got profits.

In the end, it's all up to them if they will buy. If they'll lose money then they must take it as a lesson.

Cryptocurrency isn't banned in our country, and I don't think that the Government can ban it "completely".

I guess it's safe to say that in our country, the government doesn't pay that much attention when it comes to cryptocurrencies. They aren't imposing any sanctions, or regulations whatsoever. What they are doing is just giving us advice, and tips in order for our cryptocurrencies to be safe. Well, I wonder how the people who are living in a country where cryptocurrency is banned have access to crypto still. VPNs maybe? I mean how they can withdraw it still?
