Philippines (Tagalog) / Re: Makakaapekto kaya ito?
« on: February 12, 2024, 02:47:51 AM »

Good move on the part of Team Haney as for me they can't sell a fight due to style. For Garcia's part, heroic since this will be an uphill climb as Haney will potshot and hug him for the full rounds and win this via unanimous decision. But I do hope Garcia will upset Haney and become the champion of this division, tired of seeing boxers who hit and run but refuse to engage in a real fight.

that's exactly what Garcia seem to portray to himself in public. he had been challenging big names since he wanted to fight every one but found Tank the first which was quite a misfortune lol he still got the balls to engage Tank though. it didn't stopped him though he knows Tank is a much capable than the boxers he fought.

it is not however how boxing aficionados look at it, he is just desperate to reach certain heights after a huge loss. but you're right this fight will sell. they already did a big brawl for a public show.

Good thing that Ryan Garcia could sell a fight even after a loss and also kudos to him for fighting the big names in this division even though he is on the B-side of this match-up. I understand the eagerness of Haney to grab this fight as this will earn him another millions of dollars because of Garcia's power to draw crowds. I hope Haney will show up in this fight, fight Garcia toe-to-toe so people would buy his next fight.

The Series now tied at 2-2, becomes interesting as the Hotshot now gains momentum of the match.

The bad thing for the Beermen is that their reliable big man, Junemar Fajardo is injured and might not be available on game 5.

I will still be rooting for the Beermen here to win game 5 and ultimately the series, no odds yet but for sure the Beermen will be the slight underdog as the momentum has shifted to the side of Magnolia.

There's not much option on this fight between Lopez vs Ortiz so i will just go for "under 8.5" @3.0. Though i have a feeling that this would end via decision but throwing a few dollars for that odds i think is worth the risk since Teo Lopez is a knockout artist.

snip~

To be honest I didn't bet on this fight mate, as I know that Teo is going to win and that it can go to full 12 rounds but it doesn't have any value on it.

And as expected, he win and others says its a boring fight. And I can't blame them, Ortiz doesn't want to engage Lopez and he thought that he can win with that strategy of catching and then running.

Just trying my luck there bro but Teo has been exposed big time in that fight. He got easily frustrated by the hit-and-run style of Ortiz and failed to cut the gap or cornered Ortiz. He can't expect every boxer to come to him and slug it out. Luckily for him, the judges gave him the fight as per Compubox, Ortiz has more punches landed than him.

How about you, do you also have this kind of belief, or do you believe this belief is true or not?

Maybe true, maybe not but one thing is for sure for me, never gamble too much if you are into a business because there is a high chance that you will fail in your business venture. Seldom I see businessmen gamble so that only means that gambling is not for businessmen.

Trading (Not crypto) / Re: What does it take to be a forex trader?
« on: February 09, 2024, 03:56:11 AM »
Well.... In my opinion, I will first you will need to understand forex market and how it works, then you have to be disciplined and patient in your trading decision as well as to control your emotions when the market has ups and downs.
so btw Forex and crypto trading which you think is more risky? or are the risk attached to both the same. I know in Forex there's no spot trading only leverages or future trading. While crypto if you still learning more about trading you could base on spot first.

Crypto trading has more risk than forex trading because of its characteristic, volatility. You can be easily liquidated when you are trading crypto though the same with forex but at least the latter is not so volatile, unlike crypto.

Forex trading has same risk as crypto trading.

With my experience in Forex trading, I can say that crypto trading is riskier than Forex trading because of cryptocurrency's volatility. In forex trading you can choose a pair that doesn't move that much, I mean the volatility is not much of an issue. When i was still trading forex, i used to avoid "USD and GBP" as a pair as these two are volatile.

Speaking of losing, the Sixers are now on a 2 game losing streak, and 1-2 ever since Embiid got injured. I know it's a sample size, but I expect that the Sixers will be a different without their main all-star. It's just a bit unfortunate that he got injured, and will be out for weeks because of an injury. He will not play in the all-star, and at the same time, he will not be available in those awards because for sure he will not play more than 65 games anymore.

That losing streak is somehow expected as they loss Embiid who averages 30+ points a game and nobody on their lineup could fill the gap. They will be up against the Warriors tomorrow so i think that losing streak will continue as the Warriors on the other hand is winning their last two games.

I've read the news that Embiid had a surgery, is that a season ending injury for him?

Perhaps it will be season ending for the big man. It's unfortunate, but with him out of the Sixers, they might find it hard to win. Maybe they will bottom down but still can make the playoffs.

But without their offensive machine in Joel, going to be very difficult. Maxey can't do it alone, Tobias Harris is trying but also not up their yet, although he still averages almost 17 points per game. And they will be facing the Hawks next, another hungry team and wanted to have a good position as well in the Eastern Conference.

The Sixers lost at home by more than 20 points yesterday, this is one of the testaments that they can't win or let us consistently win without their main guy at the middle, Joel Imbeed. They are still in the top eight in the standings in the Eastern Conference but I don't think that they can hold that position just relying on Harris and Maxey so let's see what the future brings to this interesting Sixers team.

And we had a series as Magnolia managed to snatched the victory in game 3 against the mighty Beermen. One contributing factor on why Magnolia was the inability of the Beermen to cash on their 3-point field goal as they only managed to sunk 7 out of 36 attempts, that's not the Beermen that we saw on games 1 and 2.

Mark Barroca's aggressive to drive to the basket paved the way for Magnolia's victory as the Zamboanga native chipped in 20 points in that ball game.

One thing was notable on that game 3 was the absence of Jericho Cruz as he was suspended by SMC for that tongue lashing incident that he had with Abueva in game 2. The question that lingers on my mind is that why suspend their own player when every game of the Finals is important and you could not afford to lose a single player in your rotation, something fishy is going on here.

Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling for Fun a Reality or an Expression?
« on: February 08, 2024, 05:55:50 AM »
Do you think you can gamble for fun without consequences?

I don't think so. Gambling is no fun if you always on the losing end and just like the gambler you came across online where his family's financial aspect was ruined due to impulsive gambling. Personally, I gamble only the amount that I can afford to loss but it doesn't mean that I care less about that money as I felt some uneasiness sometimes when I loss.

Gambling discussion / Re: How can you cure a gambling addict?
« on: February 08, 2024, 04:29:11 AM »
When a gambling person becomes completely addicted, it is very difficult to bring him back from that position. If you have a friend who is addicted to gambling and can't get back to a normal life, then you can advise him how to live a normal life and make him aware of gambling?
If a family has a gambler then that family must face a lot of problems but if you have a friend in such a situation how do you bring him back and make his family smile?

Gambling addiction is a mental health and if you have this then you can go to a psychiatrist for treatment. I know this because i talk to a doctor about this one and he said that psychiatrist is the one that handles drug addiction and also gambling addiction. This also need family support for him to fully heal.

BTW, how can we differentiate a normal gambler which is not addicted to and a gambling addict?

https://bitpinas.com/feature/prepare-binance-philippines-alternative/
