Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: HODLing Altcoins
« on: February 04, 2024, 04:35:24 AM »
~
  • How do you know an altcoin will be good for HODLing?
  • How many years if surety do you have in HODLing altcoins and which altcoins are you currently HODLing?
1. A bit of research, a bit of knowledge towards the project, a little bit of instinct, and a little bit of luck. :D Seriously, I've been investing into altcoins for a long time already, and excluding meme coins (because they are simply shitcoins), all of the altcoins that I invested with ends up giving me some small to huge profits. I mean ALL. My strategy? Don't sell at a loss. :D If you need to hold it for years, and as long as you trust the project then do it. :). Kind of funny, but that worked pretty fine with me.

2. It depends. My strategy is that, I will always sell all of my altcoins during the bull run, so sometimes, I hold an altcoin for a year, sometimes in 2 or 3 years. Which coins am I holding? ATOM, TIA, and SUI composes a huge portion of my altcoin portfolio, and the others are just a small fraction (around 3-5%).

Overall, holding altcoins is very exciting because it's more volatile compare to Bitcoin. It will be more exciting if you will be holding altcoins that are at at least at the bottom 100. Of course always do your research before investing because anytime, these altcoins can just go down in price, and you might end up at a loss.

How much % of your total assets are in the crypto market? How much of it is in BTC? When do you plan to restructure your portfolio in the future?
Currently, I'm only invested into 3 different assets.
Cryptocurrency, Stock Market, and Savings (not the typical savings where you are earning less than a percent annually).

I did add up the total of my 3 asset classes, and get the percentage of it, and I didn't surprised that cryptocurrency composes to around 47% of my total assets. Stock Market is the 2nd one with around 31%, and Savings is around 12%. I guess I can take this risk still since I'm at my mid 20's currently, but over the years, I will slowly make some changes on that, and will put more on Stock Market particularly dividend stocks because I have an end-goal about dividend stocks. :D

My cryptocurrency composes of around 44% Bitcoin, 37% to altcoins that are at the top 50 in terms of market cap, and the remaining 19% are coins that are at the top 51-100. My current crypto portfolio is more risky than what it is a few years ago because I allocated some of it towards lower market cap coins, but I always invest on Bitcoin because... why not? :D

Plan to restructure my portfolio in the future? Yes I will, and in fact, I already have a strategy on it. Since I put most of my money in crypto right now, I will wait until the bull market starts, and when my selling target got reached already, I will sell it all, and then put a huge portion of it towards the Stock Market. I will also keep some of it so that I will have some funds to use when the crypto will enter the bear market again.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Benefits of Holding Bitcoin Long Term
« on: February 04, 2024, 03:50:29 AM »
1. More profit in the long run - We know that Bitcoin in the long run can give us more profits especially when we are selling it during the bull market. Of course it will still depend on the decision of the investor because there might be some Bitcoin holders who are selling their holdings at a wrong time thus, their profits might get affected or worse, they might end up losing.

2. Lesser stress therefore, better life - Let's face it. Trading Bitcoin is more stressful than just buy and hold it right? Buying Bitcoin, and hoping that you can get more profit in the short to mid term, but there's a chance that your life might get affected because of stress. I'm holding Bitcoin for the long run, and currently not trading anymore, so I can say that it's less stressful if you will just hold your Bitcoin. Of course lesser stress, better life. :P

Holding Bitcoin for the long-term seems profitable, but it will all depend on the investor. It's all about timing. You can hold Bitcoin for 5 years, and end up losing because you sold it during the bear market. On the other hand, you can hold Bitcoin for 5 years, and end up with a huge profit because you bought during the bear market, and sold it during the bull market. :)

Bitcoin Forum / Re: BTC Spot ETF is now available on Google Ads

Do you think that BTC Spot ETF being promoted on Google services is important and has a positive impact on BTC and the crypto market? When do you hope to see its positive results, this year or 2025?
Any exposure online would be beneficial to Bitcoin and the crypto market. Of course, there will be some cons to it as it opens more to those scammers out there, but it outweighs the potential benefits that Bitcoin can get when it's being advertised online, and take note from one of the most famous websites, and the most used search engine online as well. On average, around a billion searches are being done on Google in a day.

When do I see its positive results? I mean some factors can affect it. From its price to its number of holders to the number of users, etc. It's hard to know and determine.

[1] Google will ban all cryptocurrency-related advertising
Look how easily a company can revert its policies with just one decision. From banning crypto-related advertising to now allowing Spot Bitcoin ETFs to be advertised on their website. Well, even the phishing sites are being advertised there so... yeah :D

Another familiar picture with the Pistons starting strong but ends up losing against the Clippers in the end. Kahwi's the highest scorer with an efficient 70 FG% and an impressive game from Westbrook as well.

Actually, it's Russell Westbrook's rally why the Clippers advanced to win. Unfortunately, that kind of performance by him is not consistent anymore, same with other superstars on the Clippers right now e.g. Paul George, James Harden, and even Kawhi Leonard in some cases.

Agree with you that Detroit Pistons is always starting strong but lacking a push to win at the end.

Anyway,Pistons are tanking this season that's why no big deal. "D
Whether it's Russ, or Kawhi, or PG, or Harden, one thing's for sure. Other teams must watch out for the Clippers this upcoming playoffs because they're better now that they have Harden. Chemistry? It's been there already, and with 4 all-star caliber players playing on the same team, some might say that there might be some problems with it, but it seems like they know their roles already, and that's not a good sign for other teams TBH.

Kawhi has been playing his best season since he's on the Raptors. He played on 43 of the last 47 total games, and he's been consistent throughout the season. Russ for me is the main reason why they are better now because I believe him offering himself to be a role player is a big factor as to why they are now at the 3rd seed. Of course, I will not discredit Harden, and PG13 because they're contributing to the team as well. Their role players are pretty solid as well.

They're only 1 game behind the top-seeded Thunder. They also won on 12 of their last 15 games, and if they continue to play like this, they might get that top spot TBH. As for the Pistons, they've been tanking for 4 years already, and they already wasted 4 years of Cade Cunningham's prime years. I just hope that he will request a trade because his talent is being wasted there.

What you guys think?
Many always say that you should not ever, ever store your Bitcoin in Centralized Exchanges because every CEX is prone to hacking, and your assets might be lost once the exchange gets hacked. For this reason, I always store my Bitcoin in a wallet that I have control with like Electrum, and it has been working pretty fine for me. No issues whatsoever.

However, some investors are still storing their Bitcoins in CEXes. I don't know the exact reason, but one thing that I know is that they are storing it there so that if the time comes that they need to sell it, they can just sell it immediately, and not wait for too long before it goes to their exchange accounts. Maybe another reason is that there are CEXes that have this feature where you can earn whenever you store BTC on their exchange, and since there is no other way for us to earn more Bitcoin aside from putting it on exchanges, investors are taking advantage of it.

Overall, it all depends on the preference of the investor. As long as they are aware of the risks of storing their BTC on the exchange then that's fine. Our Bitcoin is safer when we put it on a non-custodial wallet, but some want to maximize their gains thus, storing it on CEXes.

I don't want to judge, but I think the picture that you got is from a 5-minute timeframe or maybe a 15-minute timeframe of some coin out there that's why it shows like it's going up, and up.

TBH, it's hard. With lots of categories that are popping up every single day, it's hard to know which will do pretty well in the bull run. Well, during a bull run, almost if not all of the coins will just go upright. So who cares whether it's a meme coin, or RWA, or DeFi, or DePIN whatever. :D Anything can just go up in price during the bull run.

If I had to pick any category that will do pretty well during the bull run, it would be AI tokens. I will not pick any specific coin because if AI is hyped, all tokens under that category will increase in price, so I would say the most popular coins in the AI category might do pretty well.

Cosmos ATOM Forum / Re: Cosmos (ATOM) & Avalanche (AVAX)
« on: February 03, 2024, 05:26:12 PM »

Don't worry, we all experience entering at a wrong time, and there's nothing wrong with as long as we learn from it. :)
I also entered at a wrong time when I bought Pancakeswap for $32 each. Now look where is that shitty token is right now. It's barely being talked about online.

As for airdrop season, I believe that you already got your DYM tokens right? I will give some of the projects that might give free tokens to those who are staking ATOM. SAGA, Hyperlane, Movement Labs, Stride. If somebody here is planning to stake ATOM, consider stake TIA as well because there are many new projects that are being created alongside Celestia, and every project has a potential to give free tokens to those who are staking TIA.

Not a financial advice though. :P
DYM hasn't been dropped yet, but the number of coins is known. They have promised to launch the mainnet this month. I am currently more focused on Atom and Osmo. I had a mishap with TIA: I sold it at $2 and had to buy it back at $18, but for much less. Now I'm not sure if that will be enough to get future airflow.....
There's a rumor that the mainnet will be launched on the 6th of February. I've seen it on Discord as well. I guess it would be better to just wait for the official announcement for the team, but it's good that we already saw how many DYM tokens we got. Are you focusing on ATOM and OSMO? I'm focusing on ATOM and TIA, and speaking of TIA,

I already participated in the Stride airdrop where you just need to liquid stake your TIA tokens there. Liquid stake your TIA to get stTIA tokens, hold it and you will get free daily STRD tokens. :D If you still have TIA then at least try to participate in that one if you want to :)

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: Bounty hunting is a full time job?
« on: February 03, 2024, 05:11:16 PM »

Re: Bounty hunting is a full time job?
A full-time job means you will work at least 40 hours per week.

I don't know if you can spend 40 hours per week doing bounty hunting. First, it only takes a few minutes to share a post of the project in Meta and retweet their post in X. Second, if you joined their signature campaign, it only takes a few hours to at least reach the daily quota. Well unless you joined into multiple projects then I guess, I still don't see any way for you to spend 40 hours a week in bounty hunting.

Another one is that, there's a point where you can earn way more than your standard 9-5 job, and that's during the 2017 ICO hype. Nowadays, that's almost impossible anymore. Overall, bounty hunting as a full-time job just isn't worth it at all. The money that you can get isn't worth compared to the time you spent advertising the project, and also take note the chances of you getting money thru it because there are many projects that might pay those bounty hunters, but the tokenmight not end up having any price at all.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Bitcoin Dump Signifcant After Halving
« on: February 02, 2024, 04:44:35 PM »
~
-What do you think, will you still continue to buy Bitcoin?
-Will you continue to HodL Bitcoin?
-If you saw the price of Bitcoin drop significantly to 22,400 USD, how would you feel?
-What prayer did you say when Bitcoin touched the price of 22,400 USD?

- I'm holding Bitcoin not because of the halving, but because of the bull run. I want to take as much profit as possible, and a dump after the halving will not make me any change with regards to my strategy.
- Yes I will until the bull run then I'll keep a small portion of my total Bitcoin holdings, and then will sell all of them.
- I feel blessed. I feel that I need to buy more Bitcoins at that price. TBH, seeing Bitcoin at that price again (22,400) is kind of impossible to me knowing that we might be experiencing a bull run a few months from now, but if that happens, I'm ready to buy more Bitcoins.
- Prayer? TBH, I'm not praying when it comes to investments. I'm praying when it comes to my health, but when it comes to investing, praying might be helpful, but relying on it alone will make you crazy. :D Why will you pray for your investments? You pray so that it will go up? No praying will not answer that, but the supply and demand will do.

For example, some Cavs fans reacted very negatively and burned LeBron's jerseys when Lebron decided to move to the Heat, even though he also did a lot for the Cavs.
Well, the good thing is that, when he came back to the Cavaliers after his stint with the Heat, the fans wholeheartedly welcomed him, and in exchange, he gave the team their first title after defying all odds and making a comeback after that 3-1 deficit against the Warriors. TBH, I'm also thinking that he might come back to the Cavaliers, and reunite if the Cavaliers will draft Bronny in the draft night. Who knows? :D

1-1 on my prediction. :D

I just love the Knicks fans, and how they chanted "MVP" to Jalen Brunson because of his 1st all-star selection. At the same time, they extended their winning streak to 9 as they won against the Pacers. I guess it's a good thing that the Knicks really pursued him because it's paying already.

As for the Lakers-Celtics, they really stunned the home team. There's no AD, there's no Lebron on that game, but they still won. :D The distribution of offense really made the Lakers won on this one lead by Austin Reaves that has 32 points, and 6 players of the Lakers are in double-digit as well.

I'll just also share the status of the injury of Joel Embiid base on ESPN: LINK
Quote
Embiid will be out through the rest of the weekend while treatment options for the injury continue to be explored. Sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski that there is still uncertainty over how Embiid and the 76ers will move forward with a treatment plan for the injury, and options will be discussed over the next several days.
This new rule of the NBA really is a stupid rule, and it might affect Embiid. He's the reigning MVP, and he already missed 13 games. Base on the rule:
Quote
A player can miss no more than 17 games to be eligible for the league's major honors, including MVP and All-NBA, as part of the league's new player participation policy that was implemented this season.
What can you say about that new rule by the league?

THE QUESTION
Lets say you woke one morning, and decided to check one of your wallets, and amazingly, you found $1 million dollars worth of bitcoin sitting there, this money was mistakenly sent to your wallet from a wallet address you do not know who it belongs to, but you are very sure it's not from an exchange.

What will you do?
Will you immediately sent the money back to the address it came from?
Or would you keep and spend it?
Or would you just it leave it for a very long time with touching it? If yes, for how long are you going to leave it? And at the end, what will you still do?
Will I sent it back? I'm a kind guy, but being selfish for at least once in my life isn't bad right? :D
Will I keep it or spend it? I might keep it for a few weeks to months to at least see what will be the sender do. I mean I might see my address being posted on different social media platforms, and a movement of the coins inside that address might be an issue. I'll observe first before spending.
Will I leave it for a very long time without touching it? The question's almost the same as the 2nd one so yes I'll just leave it for months.

In the end, what will I do? It will depend on my mood at that time TBH. If I feel that I'm generous, I might give back a small portion of it. I said that I'm a kind guy so I will also donate a portion of it to those in need, particularly animal shelters. The rest? I'll spend a small portion of it to buy things that I want, but a huge portion will be used to re-invest into other assets.

Many expecting to return it, but money can change everything including our attitude. :P I will not return all of it. Of course all of this are just a fantasy because this will never happen in real life. :P

40 USD for 1 Cosmos that you bought, is that true?
Aren't you having a mental drop right now because the price of Comos is minus -30 USD?
It's not a belief or distrust in Cosmos coin by some investors or tarders but you seem to be part of the core team of Cosmos coin, right?
It may be offensive that the fall occurred, but the conclusion is clear: I entered the market at the wrong time. I am continuing to accumulate Atom, believing that its price will exceed the previous mark in a bullrun. Additionally, I am hopeful for the Airdrop season that has started in the ecosystem.
Don't worry, we all experience entering at a wrong time, and there's nothing wrong with as long as we learn from it. :)
