Gambling discussion / Re: [NBA] Unofficial Discussion Thread
« on: February 01, 2024, 07:42:46 PM »
With lakers trying to make last minute big trade decisions, I think they could actually get better, but it also depends on who they are giving. I still think that it is technically possible for them to get someone as good as Klay Thompson, but that seems like not happening, those were just rumors. Now, more realistic target seems to be Dejounte Murray, former Pop pupil is not a bad target to have and they will probably get it, and I think it will probably work for them quite well. Him at PG, with Lebron and AD, that might be a good defensive team, with other role players being strong on defense as well. When you have strong defense, then offense becomes easier as well.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Btc & bank which comfortably for you???
« on: February 01, 2024, 06:55:45 PM »
Even though I am in bitcoin world a lot, I would have to say bank is more comfortable right now. You do not wait for transfers, you do not pay for transfers, you could wire almost all around the world, and it is accepted everywhere you go and pay with the card bank gives you. Bitcoin still has a long way to, it would never be as debt oriented as banks, but at the same time we need to reach to a point where it is much faster and much cheaper to do transactions, also it is not accepted in many places, most of the time you have to pay with fiat, because almost no place accepts crypto payments.

Cryptocurrency Price Speculations / Re: Shiba inu coin future
« on: February 01, 2024, 05:51:37 PM »
I understand the "hype" some people may have, including people who invested (specially them) and that is why they may think that all of these news would make the price go up a lot. However, we need to remember that this is a meme project, which means that it can survive as long as the hype can, and the moment the "team" ends up not doing anything, it will be fully gone. This is why we need to make sure that we are not investing heavily into this. I do not even consider investing much into it at all, but even if I do invest, I would invest very tiny amount into it, which I can't see myself doing any time soon.

Maybe not everything has to be a pattern, I get that sometimes it does feel like a pattern to do something like that but there are also times when it is totally random and has nothing like that at all? Four year cycle has become some sort of pattern so far, and we will see if it is like that again. If the price starts to go up about around late October or somewhere in November, be higher than ATH by the end of the year or start of the new year, and then peak at around spring of 2025, then that means it did exactly what people assumed that it would do, and that would be the most important part. I think that's the one that decides it all.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: BTC halving event - What can we expect?
« on: February 01, 2024, 02:46:21 AM »
Not that quickly, way too many of you end up waiting for it to start suddenly going up right away after the halving but that ain't going to happen. Just realize that we are going to see a good increase one way or another, but we are not going to end up with anything that would benefit you right after the halving. What will be more likely result could be getting higher by autumn, around October or so. Not a lot and not in a day though, it will go on higher and higher until the end of the year, and then keep going higher after that as well. That is why we are talking about waiting for it, at least for another year after the halving until we reach our peak.

We are a bit responsible for it, I mean not exactly my generation but even elder generation is the one that is actually the responsible one but we couldn't stop it neither, we just let it happen, we tried but couldn't stop at times. The real reason is not gambling at all, the real reason is that we have made the younger generation lose hope that they could one day have financial freedom. They are aware that no matter how hard they work, they will not be as rich as their parents, and certainly not even close to their grandparents. The days of having one person in the family working and then buying a house and changing cars every 5 years and going to vacation for a month every year and sending the kids to best schools, all of that is gone. Hell, if I go to a two day weekend trip, I would be in debted for a month at least, maybe more depending on where I would go. This caused younger generation to look for shortcuts, and they saw gambling is rigged, but so is economy, so they hoped for a better result when gambling.

News related to Crypto / Re: 2024 Sees Steepest Weekly Plunge in NFT Sales
« on: February 01, 2024, 12:01:54 AM »
Well the NFT world has lost its appeal and that is why there isn't really any interest left in it anyway. Some people still claim that there is money to be made in that market but the reality is that the money to be made in that market is quite small and I do not think that it would be all that much to begin with. I get that we are going to end up with something that should not be all easy to handle, but it is quite obvious that we are not going to end up with a great return all that quickly. So we should stay away from NFT world if we do not want to lose out a lot of money, it would be a high risk not worth taking.

Market capacity is not a good criterion for judging any cryptocurrency as good or bad, or at least a good or bad investment.

This is not true. If the arrangement is important, it can easily be manipulated (which is what will happen). If you create a currency with a total supply of 10 million and succeed in selling 1 million of them at a price of 100 dollars, its market value will rise to 100 million dollars, while the truth is that it is 10 million dollars of investments, so market capacity is a wrong measure for ranking cryptocurrencies.

That is just for newly founded things, this is ETC, you can't do that. To be able to do what you are talking about, there needs to be some low amount of liquidity, preferably none at all. If I create a token with 10 trillion coins, and sell you one of them for 1 dollars, I have technically 1 trillion dollars worth of coins. But if you are ETC, you can't do that because millions of it is being traded as we speak, there is a limit to it. That "fake the value" thing can be done only at very very few tiny coins and tokens, not at high ranked ones. ETC is big enough that it would matter if it would get a higher ranking.

Probably not in every single nation, but it does look like there is a possibility that we could end up with something that would be a little bit more locally dependable. I mean you can't have it all the same in every single nation, you will see it change from place to place and that would be the thing that will make the change. I am pretty sure that people will end up with some sort of return eventually, so it should be a little bit greater to handle. All in all, I would say some nations will make it as regulated and legal as it could get, and some will totally ban it, we will not get the same result in every country.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: Volatile Coins
« on: January 31, 2024, 07:47:03 PM »
It is true that there are a lot of people who are not entirely doing what they should be doing and instead doing things that are a little bit... how shall I put this, weirdly? Some volatility is fine and crypto has always been a volatile place but the reality is that we have seen it change a lot, there are now some coins that go %90+ down, like memecoins for example and there is this feeling or at least trust in people that it will go beyond ATH again, which is really weird and could happen for a few of them, namely maybe for doge. This type of huge volatility wasn't around even for crypto, something like %60-70 down and then x3-x4 higher, that was the biggest we saw.

I selected both saving and investing, because I do save "some" money in the crypto, but its also considered invested at the same time. I mean when you put like 50 bucks per month into bitcoin, that is you saving 50 bucks from your salary every month (may not sound a lot in other nations, not too terrible where I live, still not a lot though) so you are saving money from salary while also investing into bitcoin. But, trading is not something I do often, I do it a bit but not a lot ,and gambling is something totally different, I do gamble but very different ways, so not really relevant here. This leaves, majority of it could be considered investing, with just a bit of saving as well.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Airdrop worthless?
« on: January 31, 2024, 12:51:56 AM »
The only thing that might confuse people is that during the bull run, some airdrops could worth something because people hype things out of nowhere. So something like a shitcoin or a meme project could suddenly get a lot of attention and a lot of funding, and plenty of people investing into it after release, which could make your airdrop worth a lot. However, this confuses people a lot because they think that it can be done that way and it would be a good idea, when in reality that's actually quite rare that it would happen, so we should stay away from it as much as we possibly could. I get that some may enjoy the idea, but its not really possible most often.

Interestingly, as someone who doesn't really care about "this" bull run, it will pass by very quickly and without much excitement for me to be fair. What I mean by that is the fact that even if it becomes 150k, which is more the three times the price of it right now, nearly four times the price, I would not sell. So when you are not someone who really does anything, like you just stand and do nothing, time passes very quickly compared to people who actually does something. Because I am not waiting for something, whereas they are waiting and when you are waiting, time goes a lot slower. So I will just live through this time easily.

Binance / Re: Segwit Address expires in Binance?
« on: January 30, 2024, 10:03:52 PM »
It has happened to me once before, but I do not know if that one is true or not because I just checked my binance account as well and there were no messages like that from the system at all. Doesn't mean its wrong, if you saw this on the website itself and you are certain that its the correct website then maybe they are rolling it it in batches of accounts instead of all, but make sure that you are on the same website. Because if that's a phishing website that is trying to take your deposit, that could be a very risky move, make sure the website is correct. All in all, like mentioned before, your old one will keep coming to you probably, you can test that out with a small amount.

Roma didn't really look like they had that much trouble getting the win this week. Salernitana had some shots that's not a lie and they did find some possesions but none of them were too vital, plus Roma controlled the tempo, and all Salernitana got was some counter attack type of positions. So all in all, I am guessing that Roma didn't feel that much worried, they were by two goals so they felt like they could lay back and of course that resulted with less attacks and more defense. As long as they keep getting these type of results, it would be a lot better and that would result with something that would be given properly.
