I watched this video from a Youtuber that I always watch and it's all about the prediction of the price of Bitcoin in 2024, and in 2025 as well.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UX8LPbMGyl4
I'll give a warning that the contents of that video are very hard to understand (at least on my point of view) that I needed to watch it twice to understand because the prediction involves a bit of science, and math.

Anyway, watch the video if you have spare time, but to cut it short, it says on that video that we might see Bitcoin's price between $150,000 - $200,000 by the end of 2025, and it will happen at the middle of next year. It also says on that video that we might see the price of Bitcoin reaching $1,000,000 by year 2030. Sounds impossible, but it's a prediction so... yeah.

I, and OP already said that it will reach 6 digits possible next year so for those who are hesitant to buy Bitcoin still, don't think twice and buy already. :P

Cosmos ATOM Forum / Re: Cosmos (ATOM) & Avalanche (AVAX)
« on: February 07, 2024, 07:48:22 AM »

I already participated in the Stride airdrop where you just need to liquid stake your TIA tokens there. Liquid stake your TIA to get stTIA tokens, hold it and you will get free daily STRD tokens. :D If you still have TIA then at least try to participate in that one if you want to :)
I currently prefer Atom coin as most projects focus on it. I also hold the majority of these coins. Regarding TIA, I made a mistake when I sold the asset at $2 and now regret it, missing out on the airdrops for this coin. I also participate in the airdrop for Stride, although the amount is small.
We all make mistakes don't worry. I also made one in the past, and I learned from it already.

With the recent events that are happening with TIA, it already came to a point where my total allocation with ATOM, and TIA are almost the same. Maybe it's because of the fact that there are many new projects that are integrating the new feature of TIA which is the data availability, and it's modular blockchain feature. Because of that, I expect that many projects will airdrop their token to native TIA stakers.

Speaking of staking, the Dymension mainnet is live already, and congratulations to us who are eligible for that airdrop. I got a small amount of DYM tokens for staking ATOM only at the time of snapshot which is kind of unfortunate. Well, it's free money, and I expect more in the future. :)

why do people panic and sell their coins throw some light on this topic and share your opinion
It's the nature of a human being to panic when bad things happen to them.

This is a shitty analogy, but people tend to panic when they're getting robbed for the first time, right? I'm not saying all, but most of them are. It's the same with investing, people tend to panic when they're getting robbed. Robbed because they're losing their money with their investments. People tend to panic if they experienced it for the first time, and it's  normal because I also felt it when I'm still starting.

I would say experience will be the one that will help us. Like they say "Experience is the best teacher" and I agree on that. You will not learn if you will not experience it. Most of the people who are panicking when the price of Bitcoin goes down in value are those newbies who see this kind of price movement for the first time. Overtime, they'll learn. :)

Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Makes Rich
« on: February 07, 2024, 07:12:55 AM »
gambling can make someone rich
Who said that it doesn't? Who said that gambling can't make somebody rich? Who said that gambling can't change someone's life?

Gambling can make someone rich, but how many gamblers must lose their money just to make one gambler a winner? I'm not saying that gambling can't make you rich. What I'm saying is that, gambling most of the time can make your life miserably for various reasons. Gambling has changed the lives of many people, but the amount of people who got their life destroyed because of gambling is way more than those who won.

What is your opinion on this winning? Has this changed your mentality regarding gambling? Do you think people can become rich through gambling?
No. I will stand on what I see about gambling.

My opinion on that winning bet? He's lucky. Simple as that. Sometimes we're lucky, sometimes we're not. Sometime it's not our day, sometimes it's our day. People can become rich in gambling like I said. It's just that, there more people who are losing than winning.

Hello Bitget user. I always thought that whenever there's somebody on Bitcointalk that's talking about Bitget, he's kind of advertising the website. Don't get me wrong because there's nothing wrong with that. It's just that, I'm used to see newbies promoting that website on the other forum.

Anyway, I'm not trading anymore, but before I stopped, I experienced losing all of my capital 3x. Just December of last year, I'm a bit curious on how copy-trading works, and I tried it for at least a week I guess. To cut the story short, I ended up having a profit of $7 (fees excluded). $7 for a week is kind of low compare to the risk that you are facing when copying other people's trades, but I didn't do anything, so I will not complain on it.

Overall, I don't want the idea of copy-trading because it's like you are letting other people trade for you. They don't care if you lose money, and it would always, always be better if you will just trade on your own.

Re: Crypto markets can exist without government permission
The government has 3 choices. It's either they will ban it, they will accept it like what El Salvador did, or they will just remain neutral on it.

In our country, our government didn't say anything about cryptocurrency. No regulations, no ban whatsoever. What they're doing is just to give advices, and warnings to us investors to beware of scammers, and phishing attacks. Crypto markets can just exist without the permission of the government because at first place, they're aren't the ones who did it. I guess the good thing that they can do is to just give warnings to people like what our government is doing.

Unfortunately, there are some governments who are banning their people to use cryptocurrencies. Well anyway, crypto will continue to exists anyway. People will always find way to have access on it, and the government will either continue to ban it or just let other people have access on it.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: could adoption make BTC price less volatile?
« on: February 06, 2024, 07:13:30 AM »
The total market cap of Bitcoin when I started back in 2017 was around $100 Billion Dollars, and yet we are seeing the price of Bitcoin going up, and down significantly. Now fast forward to 2024, the total market cap of Bitcoin is around $800 Billion Dollars, and we are still seeing Bitcoin's price going up, and down as usual, but not as volatile as it was back in 2017.

My point? I don't know, but based on my experience, whatever the market is, Bitcoin will still volatile, and it will not increase or decrease. I guess the only difference is that, the price movement of Bitcoin within a single day was way higher when the market cap is still low since it can easily get manipulated. Now that it has a higher market cap, I'm not saying that it can't be manipulated but it's harder now.

Overall, it's still as volatile as it is. Adoption will not make Bitcoin's price less volatile. Adoption is increase while volatility is still the same.

I highly doubt Pistons even "tried" to win this season, I mean they could be trying to win every game from all I can see, but they had a losing streak that looked so bad that I feel like it wasn't really all that great, it didn't really felt like it was something to care, it was really a huge disappointment in general.
They can win games. It's just that, they're trying their luck again by losing hard hoping that they might get another high draft spot on the next draft night. They've been doing it for 4 straight years. 4 straight years of the team being at the bottom of the standings, and until now, the best player that they can get is Cade Cunningham which is probably requesting a trade anytime soon because Killian Hayes already requested it, and I will not be surprised if he will do as well. Well, they got Amen Thompson which is kind of a good player as well. Overall, when the audience is already telling to sell the team, you know there's a problem with them. It's either the management, or the players themselves.

Speaking of losing, the Sixers are now on a 2 game losing streak, and 1-2 ever since Embiid got injured. I know it's a sample size, but I expect that the Sixers will be a different without their main all-star. It's just a bit unfortunate that he got injured, and will be out for weeks because of an injury. He will not play in the all-star, and at the same time, he will not be available in those awards because for sure he will not play more than 65 games anymore.

Meme Coins / Re: Which memecoin has come through for you recently?
« on: February 06, 2024, 06:16:45 AM »
~
I think looking into potential memecoin can do some magic and keep one afloat before the bullrun but of course it's not a financial advise.
It can do some magic towards our portfolio, but not for me.

I re-allocated my portfolio within the past few weeks, and I didn't think of holding a meme coin in preparation for the bull run. I believe that there are better coins out there that are better to put my money with. Of course what works for me might not work for everyone else here, and there's a chance that investing into meme coins might be a life-changing moment for other people here.

I have a bad experience in meme coins overall, and although I gained some profits in the past, it wasn't enough to cover all of my losses. Nevertheless, what happened to me might not happened to other here. Just try to invest into meme coins if you feel that you need to.

Re: Which memecoin has come through for you recently?
None, and I'm not focusing on meme coins currently. I'm focusing more on the airdrops that has a potential to pump when the bull market comes.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: How do you like AI for trading crypto?
« on: February 06, 2024, 04:46:23 AM »
Trading bots right now rely on AI to do it's tasks, so I guess we are using AI all along already?

I mean a quick google search and you will see that bots right now is relying on AI to perform it's tasks. Is there any exchanges out there that aside from using trading bots, that are using other tools that are relying on AI as well? The concept of AI trading has been there already. If there will be some upgrades on it then it would be wonderful.

Nevertheless, I would always, always go manual trading than either using bots, or other AI tools out there.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: HODLing Altcoins
« on: February 04, 2024, 04:35:24 AM »
~
  • How do you know an altcoin will be good for HODLing?
  • How many years if surety do you have in HODLing altcoins and which altcoins are you currently HODLing?
1. A bit of research, a bit of knowledge towards the project, a little bit of instinct, and a little bit of luck. :D Seriously, I've been investing into altcoins for a long time already, and excluding meme coins (because they are simply shitcoins), all of the altcoins that I invested with ends up giving me some small to huge profits. I mean ALL. My strategy? Don't sell at a loss. :D If you need to hold it for years, and as long as you trust the project then do it. :). Kind of funny, but that worked pretty fine with me.

2. It depends. My strategy is that, I will always sell all of my altcoins during the bull run, so sometimes, I hold an altcoin for a year, sometimes in 2 or 3 years. Which coins am I holding? ATOM, TIA, and SUI composes a huge portion of my altcoin portfolio, and the others are just a small fraction (around 3-5%).

Overall, holding altcoins is very exciting because it's more volatile compare to Bitcoin. It will be more exciting if you will be holding altcoins that are at at least at the bottom 100. Of course always do your research before investing because anytime, these altcoins can just go down in price, and you might end up at a loss.

How much % of your total assets are in the crypto market? How much of it is in BTC? When do you plan to restructure your portfolio in the future?
Currently, I'm only invested into 3 different assets.
Cryptocurrency, Stock Market, and Savings (not the typical savings where you are earning less than a percent annually).

I did add up the total of my 3 asset classes, and get the percentage of it, and I didn't surprised that cryptocurrency composes to around 47% of my total assets. Stock Market is the 2nd one with around 31%, and Savings is around 12%. I guess I can take this risk still since I'm at my mid 20's currently, but over the years, I will slowly make some changes on that, and will put more on Stock Market particularly dividend stocks because I have an end-goal about dividend stocks. :D

My cryptocurrency composes of around 44% Bitcoin, 37% to altcoins that are at the top 50 in terms of market cap, and the remaining 19% are coins that are at the top 51-100. My current crypto portfolio is more risky than what it is a few years ago because I allocated some of it towards lower market cap coins, but I always invest on Bitcoin because... why not? :D

Plan to restructure my portfolio in the future? Yes I will, and in fact, I already have a strategy on it. Since I put most of my money in crypto right now, I will wait until the bull market starts, and when my selling target got reached already, I will sell it all, and then put a huge portion of it towards the Stock Market. I will also keep some of it so that I will have some funds to use when the crypto will enter the bear market again.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Benefits of Holding Bitcoin Long Term
« on: February 04, 2024, 03:50:29 AM »
1. More profit in the long run - We know that Bitcoin in the long run can give us more profits especially when we are selling it during the bull market. Of course it will still depend on the decision of the investor because there might be some Bitcoin holders who are selling their holdings at a wrong time thus, their profits might get affected or worse, they might end up losing.

2. Lesser stress therefore, better life - Let's face it. Trading Bitcoin is more stressful than just buy and hold it right? Buying Bitcoin, and hoping that you can get more profit in the short to mid term, but there's a chance that your life might get affected because of stress. I'm holding Bitcoin for the long run, and currently not trading anymore, so I can say that it's less stressful if you will just hold your Bitcoin. Of course lesser stress, better life. :P

Holding Bitcoin for the long-term seems profitable, but it will all depend on the investor. It's all about timing. You can hold Bitcoin for 5 years, and end up losing because you sold it during the bear market. On the other hand, you can hold Bitcoin for 5 years, and end up with a huge profit because you bought during the bear market, and sold it during the bull market. :)

Bitcoin Forum / Re: BTC Spot ETF is now available on Google Ads
« on: February 03, 2024, 08:14:47 PM »
~
Do you think that BTC Spot ETF being promoted on Google services is important and has a positive impact on BTC and the crypto market? When do you hope to see its positive results, this year or 2025?
Any exposure online would be beneficial to Bitcoin and the crypto market. Of course, there will be some cons to it as it opens more to those scammers out there, but it outweighs the potential benefits that Bitcoin can get when it's being advertised online, and take note from one of the most famous websites, and the most used search engine online as well. On average, around a billion searches are being done on Google in a day.

When do I see its positive results? I mean some factors can affect it. From its price to its number of holders to the number of users, etc. It's hard to know and determine.

[1] Google will ban all cryptocurrency-related advertising
Look how easily a company can revert its policies with just one decision. From banning crypto-related advertising to now allowing Spot Bitcoin ETFs to be advertised on their website. Well, even the phishing sites are being advertised there so... yeah :D
